We highly enjoy popping in here and grabbing a slice. They always seem to have slices ready go to, and lots of tables to sit at. My son and I enjoyed a slice on this adventure and played some arcade games too. They had a machine with multiple old games on it (pac man etc). Got a couple of delicious sandwiches here! Staff was nice, place was clean and casual. My chicken cordon bleu was yummy, the chicken was really tasty and moist. The Italian was loaded and fresh! I like the rolls, soft and they didn't overtake the sandwiches. Great spot for a quick lunch in or to go. These are halves of course. We stoped here between meals after a hike...pretty sure we missed out on lunch that day and while we did have dinner plans later, we simply were not going to make it without something. My mom, my girlfriend and I entered fairly out of sorts and starving, so factor that in as you may but the owner I believe it was gave us great service and pointed out that he had slices of pizza at the ready. We all got a slice and my gf ordered some bacon cheese fries for the table. This really did the trick. This a nice roomy place for subs, burgers and pizza and if I lived in the area I would almost definitely roll through at least once a week. The pizza was good and the fries were solid too. There is a nice clean bathroom and they even have an old school video game-Space Invaders if I am not mistaken. There is ample parking on the right side of the building and space to eat out side. 4/5 and an extra point for extra friendly service. read more

So sometimes I make random stops, no yelping prior to it. It's like a mystery and you never know what you might find! We go to Maine to visit twice a year, a couple years ago we started taking the North Conway route instead of all interstate. I love this way 1000 times more than our previous way! Mountains, waterfalls, beautiful scenic views, good food, and good shopping! Anyways.... about the store! A slice of pizza, a burger and a sub! The pizza was amazing, I really enjoy sweet treats as many know and this pizza sauce is quite sweet, on a complimentary dough and flavorful cheese. I originally just got the sub only but while I was standing there waiting, the pizza was calling to me. It smelled so good, I just couldn't resist the temptation. Man. So. good. My hubby got a burger, he was very impressed. He said the meat was so good tasting, one of the best he had ever had! At first glance, the sub was a bit lacking in ingredients but the flavor of everything I got was just so good! I don't know how or why maybe fresh ingredients, love and care, attention to detail? Service was friendly, talkative and made the experience even better! The store has locally made goods that were on sale as well as a pretty decent selection of drinks in three cooler, beer upfront behind the counter and chips, candy and baked goods around the store to add to your meal. Worst pizza I've ever had. I swear to God this was a frozen, pre made crust. Just awful. I'm from Boston and probably hold my pizza on a higher bar... but this was just inedible. read more

We had a 17" rectangular pizza which has a thick crust. The crust was cooked to perfection with a nice brown bottom and cooked through interior. We ordered the loaded pie which has mushrooms but we requested the mushrooms be eliminated. They offered to add a separate additional ingredient so my wife chose bacon. The pizza was very tasty and cooked to perfection. Service at the counter was really good. The gentleman who took our order patiently explained the various crust and pizza size options. Although we ordered to eat in, this is a substantial pie and we have leftovers! I believe that they brought the pie to us in a to go box knowing that we would not finish this pie in one seating. Thank you! I didn't need to go request a box for my leftovers. The store is very clean and bright. There are a half dozen or so tables inside and a couple more on a deck outside. The counter person is very engaged in being sure you have the best experience possible. We will definitely be back soon! read more

Stopped by upon seeing a "Lobster Roll" sign out front while traveling. It was a great tasting toasted roll with a generous portion of cold lobster. Included a bag of chips or fries. We had the chips. Would definitely recommend! read more

Stopped here on our way to go hiking. Such a great little find. We ordered a small steak and cheese sub and a small chicken parmesan sandwich with fries. The food was quick, the service was very friendly and the portion sizes were just right! Everything was flavorful. Would highly recommend this place for good, quick comfort food. Amazing fries at fryes! I loveeee their gluten free options. Very celiac friendly. Also dog friendly with water dishes outside on the patio.

I stopped in for a late lunch in my way through town, there weren't many options in the area and this just happened to be what I came upon. They had a nice selection of sandwiches, it wasn't very busy when I was there so my sandwich came out in no time and the ladies in the store were very friendly. read more

Clean and the food was good. Do not stop here if you're in a rush... it took roughly 30 minutes for two 6" grinders and the place was not packed. Seems like locals go here. Not a place I would return to. It was very expensive for what was offered which was a chicken sandwich special with guacamole spread, honey mustard, bacon and lettuce. It was served on a small roll and when asked if we could order the same on a sub roll and would pay more we were told flatly no. It is a no frills establishment with dirty tables and staff standing around chatting. The soda machine was malfunctioning, but there were plenty of expensive options in the refrigerator cases. Without drinks this meal cost, $16.15. That included a small raspberry bar, jalapeño poppers (small order) and the very small sandwich. Will not recommend this place. Worst pizza ever. It shouldn't be called pizza, because that it's not. If you ate the cardboard box the pizza comes in, it's likely to have more flavour than the "pizza" itself. The only detectable note is sugar. That's in the sauce. If you can imagine tomato flavoured jolly ranchers, melted down into a sauce--that's Frye's. Otherwise, the whole disk lacked taste--as if it had been washed and dried before going into the box. Pay the extra money and get a REAL PIE from the Flatbread Company. read more

you know what? i kinda like this place. the pizza is sicilian and the subs are however the hell you like it. to top it off the bathroom is clean and large enough to comfortable get changed. perfect pit stop if you're on the way up and looking for a quick bite to eat before a hike or a quick stop to change into winter hiking gear. not much to write home about, pretty typical got almost everything you need store with friendly staff. read more
