We have not been in for many years but decided to visit last night! So glad we did answer the food was WONDERFUL and the service was even better! The bar area is great and was busy the entire evening. The salads are large and very good as are the pasta dishes. Looking format to trying their pizzas again. A group of eight of us go there almost every Friday night with two of us in wheelchairs. The food is fabulous and reasonable priced. I have NEVER seen anyone who was displeased. They have the friendliest waitstaff, managers and onsite-owner, (Jeff.) The bar is filled with happy neighborhood people and the dining room has dimmed lights, good for a date night, yet is family friendly as well with comfortable booths and flexible seating for groups. Their happy hour menu is fabulous as is their regular menu. Often my husband and I will split a steak or salmon from the regular menu which provides ample portions for two. As well, their burgers, individual pizzas, and soups are fantastic. Their nachos are huge. No one in our group has ever disliked their food or drink. I would recommend J Willy's for anyone in the West Linn area. Our group actually drives about 15 miles to get there---just because it is so good. read more

Stopped in for lunch on a Friday and had a really good lunch. my husband and I both had the Willamette Dip sandwich, very tasty. our friend had a club sandwich which looked amazing. We came here just off the river and with our dogs. I have to say, our wait staff were amazing. The gentleman took such great care of us, from moving our table into the shade to immediately brining cold water to both of us and our dogs. Wait staff incredibly attentive and made us feel so at ease and welcome. Then the food. Fabulous! My husband had a pasta dish and I had the veggie wrap, SO good!! AND they had a dog menu!! The food is great! I have yet to be disappointed. My only critique is that they need a few more servers at weekday lunch, but EVERYONE seems to be short staffed so I'm absolutely not holding it against them. We ordered delivery tonight through Uber and everything was packaged nicely, which to start is always a great sign & much appreciated. My husband raves about his burger and our kids were both super happy with their meals. I ordered the fettuccine and while it was good, the sauce wasn't my favorite alfredo flavor so I'll probably opt for another option next time, but the pasta was cooked perfectly and they were very generous with the sauce amount. The fondue is good too, while a little too strong with the wine note, still good and a generous portion of everything. Overall everything was good and I'd recommend. The owner is rude, was under the influence, and doesn't understand the basics of good customer service. Once seated at the bar, I noticed two bartenders behind the bar,. I ordered my drink from one, and then asked the other if I could please have a glass of water. In a rude fashion, he said he was off duty and the other guy could get it for me. The other bartender looked embarrassed and helped me out. Little did I know the rude guy was the owner, as my friend pointed out. I was shocked that he was above serving a customer a glass of water! He then proceeded to call me "Honey" in a condescending way, and when I objected to that, he said, "Honey, you better watch yourself." Just because he is the owner doesn't give him the right to treat his customers with such disrespect. He was peachy keen to my friend because she tried to diffuse the situation by chatting him up sweetly. His demeanor totally changed. Now I don't know if it's because she is white and I am Mexican, but whatever the reason was, it was rude, unprofessional, and lacking in basic etiquette. I will never go there again, and have no problem passing my experience along to anyone who asks! read more

This place is amazing. The wife and I celebrated our 6th anniversary here. The food is amazing, the atmosphere is great. Quiet but nice bar setting too. As far as I'm concerned it has everything I would want for a night out. Our server was Madeline, she was nice and tentative but not pushy. It's only about 4 bites and they charge $8 for a handful of mixed greens, 2 slices of mozzarella and 2 slices of tomatoes (cut in half). Decided to stop by on a Monday for early dinner. We caught Happy Hour. We ordered Sliders, fries, artichoke dip and sweet potato waffle fries. The margeritas were excellent! All of the food items were very good. The sweet potato fries melted in your mouth! We were even happy with the house salad, even if the dressing was very thick. The service was excellent and they played a great variety of rock/pop music. We sat in the bar/pub, and our bartender was really sweet and was happy to accommodate any requests. From Toni Limbeck Your website's menu said you had oyster shooters. Never having been to your establishment, we decided it might be worth the drive from Milwaukie to try them. Much to our surprise, they haven't had oyster shooters since the pandemic started. Waiter said they ordered new menus three months ago but said nothing about the website being updated. Removing the B from BJ Willy's seems to have made all around improvements. The place is still nice and cozy. The service we recieved in the bar was pleasant. Last time, before the change if ownership, standards were low. This time around everything was a serious step up, the food most importantly. My companion ordered the Tuna Fish and Chips. The meat was thick and not overly battered. It was crispy and the fry oil tasted fresh. There was a noticeable lack of seasoning though. Nothing a little lemon couldn't cure. I ordered the French Dip as it boasted horseradish creme fraiche and I love both of those ingredients by the bucket full. The dip was good. Meat was seasoned, jus was salty and the fraiche was a welcoming addition. The bun was soft and buttery. The only problem I encountered was a bit of extended stomach issues after our visit. I have a iron stomach and no food sensitivities so I was concerned. I am willing to assume it was a isolated incident as none of the food itself tasted off. I'd like to go back and explore the menu a bit more. The fries were awesome BTW, battered and crispy. read more

I've lived in West Linn collectively for 23 years and for one reason or another I never ate at J Willy's. Wow have I missed out. The menu is extensive and satisfies the needs of anyone. As their bartender "BK" would say "throw a dart at the menu and you'll have a good meal." He's absolutely right, EVERYTHING on the menu is absolutely amazing. The owner "Jeff" can often be found at the end of the bar watching a game with the patrons or bantering with the staff. Such a fun environment for both families or those wanting to catch a game.
