We had problems with a tripping breaker in a house build 1980's and got an Electrician from Palo Alto to look at it. He "fixed" it by just putting the load to another breaker next to it and said it needs to be fixed by replacing the whole electrical box for ~ $4k which sounded not quite right to us. So we called Mr. Wong he came out told us why the breaker is tripping - gave us recommendations which ones to replace and what to watch out for to replace them to have longer lasting breakers. We spent ~$100 by replacing the necessary breakers and have a great long-term solution - we can highly recommend Mr.Wong. Very knowledgeable, helpful and not trying to rip you off. read more

After reading YELP reviews about Jacky, I felt I can trust this licensed electrician to do a house in Milpitas. He gave me a fair quote and I signed him up on the spot. I did not need a 2nd or 3rd quote. I trusted him and the YELP reviews. He was a straight forward, no nonsense electrician that did not give me a $300 hr quote. (Because I'm a female, in the past 10 years, I've had a lot of other contractors that try to rip me off with lies. I had a sense he's going to be a good worker) We should support honest, excellent electricians/contractors like Jacky. He gave me a big added bonus, thanks to his warning/advice PG&E found a 2+ year gas leak in the clothes dryer. All these years, we thought the smell was coming from the TOXIC detergents. He was very fast. I called for an appointment and he dropped by the same day. Even made a confirmation that he'll go unlike others that i talked to. Cost was way less compared with the electrical company we bought our lamps but the service and the outcome was superb. Glad i stumbled upon yelp. Power went out when microwaving. Tried the breaker switches but it did not work. Called and Jackie came within an hour. He was able to diagnose and replace the faulty outlet. I don't even know how Jacky can even stay in business giving such great rates and doing all this free work. He charged 1/3rd of what someone else quoted me and then even replaced one of my breakers, fixed my doorbell and got my outside lights working FOR FREE. What a great guy. We had an electrical short and smoke from a fixture in a home we rented out. The Fire Department responded, turned off all the power, cut and taped several wires in the electrical outlet. They told us not to turn the power back on until an electrician repaired the outlet. It was around 9 PM and we had to find an electrician. We called Mr. Wong and he was at the house in a few minutes. Working by flashlight, he quickly replaced the burned wires, installed a new outlet and turned on the power. We were impressed by the speed with which he corrected the problem and the price was extremely reasonable. We have his business card and he will be the go to guy for any future electrical problems. Wong is so full of attitude, arrogance and not to mention communication issues. He will not talk to you without intimidating you to extent you didn't you could be. I will recommend you pass on this one. Not worth the trouble and frustration to go though even basic thing as asking questions and have him give you a straight answer. On perhaps your third try, he will respond to you, if he likes you, that is. I can't imagine who will give him 5 stars reviews with his serious attitude and arrogance issues. And he was so nice to help us move around the very heavy oven too!!! And he really took the time to install it, it was not an easy job to attach the oven in our space. I had Jacky come and swap out 4 outside lights for us. One of these was a motion sensor light for the side of our house. He is very responsive when you reach out to him on Yelp, and was really flexible with his schedule. Which was great since we are working on our yards and the lights were part of this. When he arrived, he looked at the job and gave his quote. It was a little higher than I had expected, but he was already there and I just needed to get the job done, so I agreed. He got right to work and completed everything within an hour, and the lights looks great. He cleaned up the work areas, too, which was nice. Other than the pricing, I was pleased with his work. Would recommend and maybe haggle a little with the quotes he gives you if you feel its unfair. read more

We could not have been happier with the friendly and efficient service Jacky gave us. After some ceiling work that required all the lights be removed, we had a problem where several lights weren't working after we put new ones in. We called Jacky and he came on a Saturday, and quickly found the problem with the wiring of one of the fixtures. While he was there he also installed a ceiling light in a bedroom and changed an outlet to not be tied to the wall switch. Totally fair and transparent pricing model. Called this morning at 9:00am to ask Jacky if he had anytime available. He said he could come by at 6:00pm, called later and said he could be there by 5:00pm. Jacky tried to trouble shoot the problem, looking inside most of the electrical outlets. Jacky looks into the front porch light switch, says I found one problem. Fixes it, now onto the main problem. One of my wall outlets have been out for over 5 years, I used extension cords for the time being. Jacky is looking thru almost all the wall outlets and finds one that smells of burning rubber, and he finds the problem....wire is short, Jacky makes new outlet box, and just like that, it's done. Jacky has great personality. A little high on price, but the guy worked till 8:15pm. I called Mr. Jacky Wong and he came out and gave me a rundown on what/how much etc. Cost was the best I had been offered, and he was downright honest and gave me his opinion on why not to perform the work. It would save me $$$ HOly Shi&^ !! I love honest upfront people. I had talked with an electrician/do-it-all named Hiep and he was like " I put in for $75." Jacky said don't because it wouldn't be useful until these other things were done first. But he would've charged $50...well I will be calling him back once I get the other things set up! How can you not patronize an honest, nice business....At least call him for a free estimate...it can't hurt. Jacky is an excellent electrician. We needed several ceiling fans installed in our 2-story townhouse. We tried calling several electricians, many of whom never even responded, one who called back and just didn't show, and another who took nearly a month just to show up and provide a quote, which ended up being way too high anyway. We called Jacky on a Tuesday morning, he gave us a quote over the phone, showed up the same Friday, and spent the whole day installing the fans. He even went out to Home Depot to get some additional missing parts. Despite encountering some complications with the wiring, he didn't ask for anything more than what he had originally quoted. The work was extremely well done, and he cleaned the rooms after he completed his work. I am a big 'fan' (pun intended :D) of his work and trust that anyone else who hires him will get the same fair, honest and quality work that we did. read more

After getting two quotes from another two electricians we decided to work with Jacky because he responded to our inquiry promptly, his pricing was reasonable and of course all the great reviews he's got on Yelp. He installed a 240V outlet in our garage and passed the city permit inspection without an issue. He also helped check and correct the wiring we have in the attic to make sure it is safe and in compliance to the city code. He also added two boxes for two exterior flood lights that we had installed ourselves. All of the work was done within the time he promised at such a reasonable price that we had to give him a bonus so we would feel that was only fair. In addition to the good work he did, Jacky is very friendly, honest, conscious of saving us money and patient in listening to and answering our questions. He is a great guy to work with. We found Jacky through Yelp and it was a great find!!! The first positive was his quick response to our phone call. We then scheduled an appointment with him for 3:00 p.m the following day. At 2:50 his was driving down our street!!!! He made a quick and accurate assessment of our electrical issue He began work immediately. One of the issues we called him for he quickly checked it out and found that there really was not an electrical issue rather a faulty garbage disposal issue on our end. He then quickly attended to our other electrical issues. He was quick, neat and his pricing was very reasonable. We would give him the highest recommendation!!!!!!! I'm very impressed with Jacky and thankful that he's able to come to my house today especially after calling many electricians and most of them are busy and booked until July. He replaced the AC breaker, able to find the problem outlet that caused loss of power in two bedrooms and even helped move my son's heavy bed out of the way. For the time spent at my house, his charge is very reasonable. My AC is now working properly which is needed in this heatwave. I should have called Jacky first before calling All Heating & Air Conditioning that came out yesterday and replaced a part that probably didn't need to be replaced because my AC stopped working after 6 hours, and yet I was way overcharged for barely 30 minute work. Came home to fix a bad arcing circuit breaker within an hour of calling him. Very friendly and got the job done after having to go to home depot to pick up a new circuit breaker.
