While on the lonely 202 south from the west, which is great because the traffic is minimal, stop off here at Ja Ramen. The food is , quick to arrive & very good. Tried the tonkonosu ramen; creamy with lots of flavor, thinner noodles than I usually get, good portion, little fatty pork but it is "pork belly". Tried "Macha" hot for the 1st time, it's good. Joseph is a one man show, the man doesn't stop, very attentive, cares about the place & how customers enjoy their meal. Great job Joseph & thank you. I will be back.

Ja Ramen is a vibey little place that's proven to be a great addition to Laveen's growing restaurant scene. They offer yummy eats and a limited drink menu, including cocktails. Since there aren't many places to grab an actual cocktail in Laveen, this makes them a great adult dining option. However, they are family friendly as well, so don't be afraid to bring the littles. Ja has a good selection of appetizers, which are already reasonably priced. However, you can save a few bucks with happy hour pricing until 6 PM (weekdays I believe). I tried their chicken karaage for the first time, which was absolutely delicious. They dust it with matcha powder and serve it with spicy mayo. Yum! I ate this as my entree and it's really two full meals. Add white rice and it could be more like three meals. My daughter and I shared fried gyoza, which were yummy, and she opted for miso ramen with pork belly. The ramen is also easily two meals, unless you're really hungry. The service here is pretty solid. I did notice during this particular visit that it took a long time to get my final bill and check out, but to their credit, it was a busy night. Overall, I was happy with the way we were treated during our visit. Thanks, Ja staff.

A beautiful little place out in Laveen! The food is delicious, I am a big fan of Ramen and Ja Ramen did not disappoint. Ive come here twice now. The Miso Ramen was amazing the first time. The second visit I got a Miso Dumpling Ramen bowl and that was also delicious!! One small downside is the service. They are very friendly but seem short staffed and the food does take a little longer than normal to prepare. Luckily, they have entertaining anime shows playing on the big screen to pass the time. 4.5/5.0 stars easy!

Deeeeeeelicious! Went today with my boyfriend and we loved it! We got the squid salad as an app, and the curry ramen and tonkatsu ramen! Both were delicious, perfect egg! It was busy when we went and service was helpful and nice! The restaurant is so cute!! Perfect for a bowl of ramen before Christmas. Prices were great! I think this may be our new fav ramen joint. I think from 2-5 or something it's $2 off apps, and while we did order an appetizer when we got the bill it was regular price. Our bad for not speaking up, but we also didn't really care. The food was good, and we were okay with paying for tasty food. We will be back!

Shockingly found an amazing Ramen shop in Laveen. We were seated right away and the staff greeted us all. They were all so kind and helpful. I saw lots of great reviews for Ja Ramen so on one of my last nights in Arizona, we decided to try them out. I've been 3rd degree burned before by Asian restaurants in Arizona so this was a gamble for me. I went with the classic Tonkatsu to test the bar. They also have seafood and chicken ramen. Plus vegetarian and vegan options. Let alone a seperate page for Japanese Curry. What we loved is that they have a "naked ramen" which is just noodles and broth for a reasonable price. Then you can add whatever you wanted. It seemed very popular with the kids around us. We have only one good ramen shop in Colorado, which we frequent. Ja Ramen is a legit co-winner in our books. Savory, packed with ingredients and flavor. The tonkatsu pork was thick, buttery, and delicate. Their chili oil packs a kick. And again the service is amazing. Don't miss out! I'm keeping the on the list for when we return.

Let me start off by saying the food was tasty We walked in at 130. The music was loud and not the type of music I want to hear during lunch. One of the songs was Don't You Wish Your Girlfriend was Hot Like Me. WhileI like that type of music, again it's not something I want to hear while I'm eating my lunch.. An employee came to ask us what we would like to drink. I asked if he had Diet Coke and when he looked, he said we're out of Diet Coke. Then we both asked for unsweetened iced tea. When he brought it to us, we realized it was green tea. I had to ask if they had some type of other tea, perhaps Lipton ice tea. She did so she brought us what we wanted. BTW - the tea was out of a bottle. I asked for fake sugar. She brought me real sugar when I asked for fake sugar, again, she said she didn't know if they had fake sugar. She went to go check. She came back and said that her manager said all they had was honey.. She then brought us our appetizers, but no plates. I had to ask for plate plates. We got our food, it was hot and it was good. Lastly, she brought the box out so I could pay and she added that they could not accept tips electronically, only by cash. Unfortunately, for her, I did not have any cash. She said that was OK. Would I come here again? Probably not.

ONE OF LAVEENS FINEST! This is one of my favorite Laveen restaurants! A small, cute, and aesthetically pleasing designed restaurant with delicious food and drinks. They have really good happy hour deals, so definitely come during the week. I've had good service every time I've been here. Even when I had some party members running late, a kind server would come over right away to get their drink order as soon as they came in. I've tried about half of their appetizers and they were all good! I don't even live in Arizona anymore, but when I visit I stay with family near Laveen and always hit this place up with friends or family!

Super fun place if you like Ramen. It's a little pricey, but the atmosphere is amazing! The food is good and the service is awesome. It must try if you like Ramen.

The food was great!!! Really filling and honestly it's such a cool little spot and I can see it get really packed during the weekend. I went with my coworker on a Wednesday for lunch, it was a great experience. It did take a bit of time to get out food but once it was out it was amazing. Also love all the anime everywhere!!!

This is the best place in Phoenix. My husband and I go in once a week or so because the curry is SO good. I'm pregnant and crave their curry every day and no matter how I try I just can't get it the way the owner here does. This location is always so accommodating and kind. It's our families favorite. 10/10 recommend.

I am speechless to how good this is, its not super tiramisu-esq in flavor, yet their own rendition is impeccable, flavor and texture alike! Unfortunately, I visited today for the first time in a while and left feeling really disappointed, it's changed, and not for the better. I always order the Hakata Tonkotsu Ramen (no meat, replace with egg, extra egg, add corn and cabbage). I was surprised to be told they no longer offer cabbage, which was one of my favorite additions. The eggs were also different. They used to be served whole, and I loved slicing into them to reveal that beautiful golden yolk. This time they arrived already sliced, and once the broth was added, the yolks started to cook. I was also given a side of arugula, which honestly has no place in a ramen bowl. It felt very out of place. There were also pickled carrots, which I ended up removing, not for me. The broth was noticeably greasier than before, which was another letdown. I immediately texted my best friend (the one who originally introduced me to this place) and she shared the same thoughts. She even mentioned telling her server, "Don't mess with a good thing," and that really sums it up. I'm truly sad to say this experience left me very disappointed, and I may have to start looking for a new ramen spot. WHHHHHHYYYYYYY

The interior was trendy, with wood floors and walls, industrial ceiling and top 40 music playing. I ordered the Spicy Tuna Tempura Roll, the Sunshine Roll and an iced tea. In all, it came to $28.72 plus tip. The tea was rather large, which was refreshing for today's restaurants. My lunch arrived in about 15 mins, mostly because a table for four sat down right before me and they were rather needy. The sunshine roll was different than any other sunshine roll I'd had. Their menu descriptions were rather minimal but I was expecting lemon and got masego (roe). It was okay but not what whetted my appetite The tuna roll was a vey pleasant surprise though. I assumed the shrimp tempura would be the only fried aspect but the entire roll was fried after assembly. Very good balance of savory to saucy, heat to cool and soft to crunchy. I'd order that roll again. I'll come back, next time I'm in the area.

I used to come here specifically for the Ramen, but the Ramen has never been the same after a bit before Covid had hit and they decided to change the recipe and everything about it and it's just like mid now, but I've recently discovered how good their noodles are. This is probably some of the best chow mein I've had and that's mostly what's carrying this review. I literally am only putting it at three stars because I am still upset about the Ramen situation and how it used to be really good and I can't factor that out of my review lol but what I usually get here is the hot chicken bao bun and it's pretty freaking good pretty spicy too. I'm like white girl level zero when it comes to spices and I think it's pretty spicy but it's super flavorful. The pickles they put into it are really good. I think they like saturate them in something and like I said before the chow mein noodles are just super good. They're not dry and they're pretty flavorful it's great. We arrived a little after 5pm and the restaurant was mostly empty. But in the next 20 minutes it filled up and there was open sitting at the bar only. The mood was initially quiet but quickly turned more up beat as the restaurant filled and pop rock music was playing. We asked our waiter a few questions about a few of their rolls and he was very helpful with guidance and recommendations. We ordered Salmon Lemon, Spicy Tuna, Salmon Avocado Maki and California rolls to share for two. This restaurant uses purple rice rather than traditional white rice. This was the first time we have tried a sushi roll made with purple rice and we both loved it. It added a nutty flavor and hearty texture. Purple rice is similar to wild rice and far nutritionally superior to white rice with more antioxidant and fiber. Shortly after we ordered we were served a potsticker dish. I mentioned that we did not order the item and were informed the appetizer was complementary. We thanked the server and tasted the dish. The potstickers were nicely pan fried and had a great crust and flavorful chicken filling. Delicious! About five minutes later our rolls were delivered. All were fresh tasting and delicious. Our favorite was the Salmon Lemon roll. We loved the pop the lemon added. Honorable mentions to the Spicy Tuna roll, very well done, excellent balance of heat and flavors. We truly enjoyed our dining experience and look forward to returning. Highly recommended for a quality sushi experience!
