I used to add the bacon. My friends and I frequently bought sandwiches, drinks, and dutchmasters late at night. So the manager at the time was very friendly with us. There were other sandwiches like an "Ed Special" and so on.. The name Bindy derives from my last name which sounds like bindy. So when i walked in the store they used to shout bindyyyyy. One night they were redoing the signs with the names of the sandwiches and fate have you we were there. So the manager asked if i wanted to name a sandwich and we agreed on Bindy Special. I always wanted lettuce on that sandwich. It was meant to have lettuce but i forgot to tell him when he was writing the sign which was just written on a paper plate and scotch taped to the deli glass at the time. But I've never had a sandwich here that I didn't like. As you love down the line the guy at the end will put whatever you want on it, including lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, etc!
