This deli is phenomenal. Not the flavors you'd expect from a little place in the hood of Jamaica right on Jamaica Ave where there isn't much that's worth 5 stars. Except Sammy Deli. This place is exceptionally clean and so I thought I'd give it a try. I had a veggie panini that was better than any high end restaurant I've had one at. It had mozzarella, spinach, basil, fresh tomatoes, sun-dried tomatoes and balsamic vinegar. YUM!! The fries are the shoe string kind that you can't stop stuffing your face with their salty goodness. Stay away if you're vegan. I was excited to try their "Plantega" vegan menu. When I received my order it had chicken. I called to resolve but was told they ran out of the "meat" they usually put (no evil vegan chorizo) and substituted with white meat chicken. Stated they were busy so didn't call to resolve, I asked what brand they used instead and he couldn't give me a straight answer. I'm not quite sure they fully understand what Vegan is. This Deli is damn good for actually reading and following instructions, hence why the options are there on the apps, same as if when you call in and give instructions. This was a horrible experience. I basically got robbed of my money and there is nothing that I can do about it. I decided to order from this deli based on the good reviews that I read here on Yelp. I placed my order through UberEats. I ordered a cheeseburger and paid for sautéed onions. My cheeseburger arrived with raw onions. I ordered a Diet Pepsi and paid $2 for the soda. The restaurant sent me a regular Pepsi that I could not drink. I called the restaurant because I figured that this must have been a mistake that they would be willing to correct. When I called, the gentleman who answered listened to my complaint and responded with "yeah". He then put me on hold and told me to "call the company ". I assumed that he meant for me to call UberEats. I explained to him that I ordered from his restaurant based on the reviews I read on Yelp, and based on his unwillingness to correct the error, I would be writing a bad review about this experience.
