If I could give this business, zero stars, I would. They lost one of my suits and made me pay for the dry cleaning service of the suit I DON'T HAVE. I was told I would get a call on the status of my missing clothing and never heard back. When I called, the Manager yelled at me on the phone telling me she "did not have time for this". It has been two weeks and I have not heard anything from them. I went to the location and they handed me a piece of paper to fill out about my missing item that I have to return to the store. I am so beyond frustrated with the lack of customer service from this company. They don't even have a phone number that I can call to make a complaint. read more

After multiple weeks of trying to settle a problem with the management with no success, this business has left us little choice but to warn others against using this location. We dropped off two articles of clothing and received a receipt. When we went back to pick up the clothing a couple days later, my wife was told her clothes were not there. She was treated rudely by the employee in charge and was made to feel as though it was her fault that the clothes were missing. She brought back the receipt the following day to see if they could use that to find the clothes, and they still could not find them. Meanwhile, both the manager and her boss continued to tell my wife that if she could not identify the brand of her clothes, they would not be able to find them and she was out of options. (She had purchased them from a store that sells many different brands of clothing and therefore did not remember the specific brand.) They refused to take responsibility for over $200 of lost clothing despite the fact that we had a receipt that verified the exact date and time the clothes were dropped off. Then, one of the employees lost the receipt my wife had left with them so they could find the clothes and then blamed my wife for losing it, saying she never gave it to them in the first place. I understand things happen. Stuff falls through the cracks and even good businesses mess things up. But a good business is going to take ownership of their failures and do what they can to make it right, not blame their customers for their own mistakes, treat them disrespectfully, and refuse to rectify the situation - especially to customers who have been patronizing the business for more than five years. Based on other reviews, it looks like this is a pattern and unfortunately not an isolated problem. I'm planning to file a complaint with the BBB to see if we can get a reimbursement for the lost clothing, and will gladly update this review if JBC decides to make things right. Wow, I am so surprised that there could be such unprofessional dry cleaner and the manager. do not go to this location!!! there are other great places but here. 1. a lady with a long fake sharp nail asked me to fill out a form, I asked few questions about some areas, she just took the paper and said "never mind~!" picking up the military uniform. They didn't even ask if we want the military hangers back! (didn't know they just throw away without even asking) 2. they charged twice more than other places. other places give a special discount for military uniform. 3. when I pick up, found out there were many stained unremoved, they didn't even bothered us to tell us!!! 4. when I called about the stain, the manager said "oh, there was some stained unremoved." (in a nutshell, she said it's not their fault) when I asked her why she didn't tell us then to take it somewhere else to get the stains at least. SHE YELLED AND TALKED OVER ME AND HUNG UP on me!!! 5. I am going to see to the end of her consequences through the headquarter to correct her ill response to a customer. She doesn't own this place!! I really feel bad about the owner of this business. 6. this was not the first time they did to us and never again! they just lost a business and I am going to make sure the headquarter takes care of this issue in the right direction! read more

This is laughable because I've had my blouses dry cleaned many times and they don't smell like under arm sweat all over. Jack Brown Cleaners in Bee Cave is the worst cleaners we have ever used and we will never use them again. They took a perfectly beautiful $200 silk sweater and turned it into a piece of garbage. It used to have delicate white flowers around the neckline which they turned into brown garbage after washing it together with whatever clothes they throw into their big vats of wash into. They also shrunk it. I remember a time when a cleaners cared about their customers and reimbursed or replaced items they ruined. JBC's solution was I return it to Nordstrom for a refund - honestly Nordstrom didn't ruin the sweater, Jack Brown did. I also purchased it over 6 months ago - there is no returning it. DO NOT GO THERE! They ruined, completely ruined my Emilio Pucci outfit ($2,000.00). Not only did they completely changed the colors of the outfit, they put holes in my skirt!! After holding my outfit for 4 weeks for SUPPOSED review, they are LYING THROUGH THEIR TEETH. We have provided photos of the way the outfit (top and bottom) looked before they cleaned it, we have looked up online any problems there were Emilio Pucci's outfit and there are no problems with the designer. We have spoken to our friends who used to own a dry cleaning, and they said the problem is JACK BROWN is NOT CHANGING OUT THEIR solvents which is what caused the bright colors of the outfit to turn beige and dull. This was also comfirmed by information online by other experts. JACK BROWN IS ALL ABOUT BOTTOM LINE AND DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE CUSTOMER AND CERTAINLY NOT THE CLOTHES THEY CLEAN. The store on Bee Caves, close to 360. The worst customer services ever!! I left my daughter's dress there for alterations asking about 5.5 inch short, they took down my phone number but I never heard back. So after 2 weeks I stopped by and found out they wrote down the number wrong and the dress came back 3.3inches short, instead of 5.5inches short! They said they would put it on rush and fix my phone and call me back on Monday. No surprise that I never heard anything back. So I called again today for the dress and they said it will be done this Saturday instead of Monday!! And of course the phone number is still wrong, still wrong... What makes the whole thing more frustrating is the woman who picked up the phone is the rudest person I have ever seen. She won't let me explain the situation, shouting and screaming. When I ask to talk to the manager she said: you know what, I am the manager! I feel sorry for Jack Brown for hiring such shitty person to be your manager. I feel sorry for me to send the dress to such a shitty store. I sincerely hope they can look at these reviews here and do some decent basic training before they release these terrible people out to torture the customers. I have been using this location for 5 years every week - over the last 3 weeks - 3 times in a row - show up to pick up my laundry - told there is not any. Last time it was a number of new shirts - got out of a car - extremely rude dismissive attendant tells me they never received any - she calls someone on the phone who immediately says - were there a bunch of new shirts - 20 minutes later - they were found - no apology - Today - my last visit - I was smart enough to get a ticket pull up- same very rude - nothing here -extremely dismissive - show her text I received - and paper ticket - again 10 minutes later clothes come out - no sorry - mistakes can be made - 3 - Strikes and incredibly rude - Not sure that formula is going to be successful - I am done with this place read more

I should have read the reviews. I think the woman there in the morning is not happy with her job. She doesn't care what you think and isn't good at working with customers or people in general. If I tell you I want my clothes done a certain, acceptable way, and you do it differently and charge me more, that is not ok. I will find a new cleaners that is not Jack Brown. read more

This is why I will no longer be going to Jack Brown Cleaners: About a month ago I bought a new pair of jeans and they needed to be hemmed a bit. I brought them to Jack Brown Cleaners up on Bee Caves rd. I told them how much I needed them hemmed and they told me it would be ready the next day. I came back, and the pants were dry-cleaned. I said again, I needed them hemmed, not dry-cleaned, so they kept the jeans another week to hem them. When I got them back, they were hemmed 2 inches too short. My new jeans were ruined. I asked the manager for a refund for the pants and for the service. I only got $20 and a voucher for $5 off my next service. I was not too happy with that outcome but figured it was the best they could do and hoped that it was just a one time mistake. Then this past Monday I brought my husband's pants in to be hemmed and I used the voucher for $5 off. I went through the extra trouble explaining what happened last time and that I needed these jeans HEMMED not DRY-CLEANED. They had the jeans for a week and when I brought them home, my husband tried them on, I noticed they were still too long. I measured them and saw that they did not hem them at all, but still charged me for the service. I even saw on the receipt that it said what needed to be done "Hem 5 1/2 inches". I also noticed that the jeans were pressed which leads me to believe that they were dry-cleaned, which I specifically told them not to do. I am extremely dissatisfied with the level of service I have experienced at Jack Brown Cleaners and I have decided to no longer use any of their services at any of their locations. I do not trust their employees with my clothing. They do not listen to my needs and/or do the complete opposite of what I tell them to do. read more

After a decade of using Jack Brown Cleaners at many of their other locations, I have finally given up on them. I moved into the area and this location is between my house and work - making it the easy place to do weekly drops. Sadly the people there are terrible, which is surprising since all other locations have such a great staff. They always make you feel guilty and same day service, frequently over charge, and do a mediocre job on the actual cleaning. Finally the people there are consistently rude. I rarely take my husbands shirts for dry cleaner. I took 3 of them and they didn't honor the promo price also they over charge me. I ended paying for for the dry clean that the value of the shirt. I would give zero stars if I could. I picked up a large order from this location yesterday, which included a comforter ( a very expensive, custom made comforter) that I took because of the comforter special. First, two pieces of clothing are missing (which they deny), a silk blouse and pair of women's slacks. Second, they charge $12 EACH to clean a dress and $6.50 for women's or children's (CHILDREN'S!!) slacks to be cleaned. I know. Next, one of the other silk blouses that did make it home looks as though the sharp point of the iron was jammed into the fabric--of course, in the very front of the blouse (no disguising THAT). And, finally, I have never actually paid almost $30 to have something cleaned for it come home actually dirtier than it was when I left it there. There were mystery spots that came off with a damp cloth all over the comforter. I just don't know what to do--I am seriously considering putting a stop payment on my check right now. We keep going there because it is so convenient but I think i will start going back to the one in Lakeway where Tim was the manager and we never had a problem. I donated $20 to the Lake Travis Athletic program that came with a "coupon book" for local vendors offering discounts for services, food, etc. I dropped off a few dry cleaning items to Jack Brown. When I picked it up they wouldn't honor my 15% off coupon. She said I had to present the coupon at the "time of drop off". I grew up in Austin with the Browns so I thought I should let them know how one of their stores was behaving. The response I received back from Paul Brown was, and I quote, "All of our coupons are printed with "Must be presented with incoming order" to avoid any pricing issues." Pricing issues????? So what he was saying was that they needed to know up front that a coupon was being used to be able mark up the ticket in order to make the same amount after the discount. This was for a HIGH SCHOOL fundraiser for God's sake! I've since been going to other cleaners and found them to be far cheaper and no difference in quality. Good luck Brown's! Never had a problem until I noticed, last November, my clothes weren't being well washed and then I approved them to send me notifications when my clothes were ready. On December 18th I received a text message at 6:34 am communicating that my clothes were ready, which startled me because I have family living in other states and I thought something bad had happened, I think it's absolutely ridiculous to be sending texts and notifications BEFORE business hours. I spoke to Veronica, the new manager and told her that I wanted to speak to the store owner because I had been using their service since 1997, when I purchased a house nearby. It's now the end of February and I haven't received a single word from the owner. I roughly spend upwards of $1000 dollars a year on their services only for them to be careless and rude. I took 8 polo shirts in and asked for them to be laundered. The shirts came back completely stretched out! 2x's larger that when they went in. Some looked like a flapper dress! The staff at the actual store was great however when the claims were submitted "corporate" and the "president" stated they would not honor the claim because I requested laundering. I'm sure if I requested dry cleaning and they were ruined it would have been denied because I requested dry cleaning... DO NOT TAKE YOUR CLOTHES TO JACK BROWN. I took clothing to this cleaner three times. The first was extremely courteous and a good experience because I was being "signed up" for their services going forward. The second time, I thought their pricing was a little higher than I was used to but they had done a decent job, so I went a third time. Amongst my clothes for cleaning were about 10 of my husband's Tommy Bahama shirts, 6 of which say "do not dry clean" on the tag. When I dropped off, I requested that they be laundered and pressed and I had coupons for a discount. When I picked them up, they had dry cleaned everything and charged from $8-$10 for each of the TB shirts (which I get on clearance for about $50)! When I asked why, the man said "they have a policy to dry clean every TB shirt and they are not eligible for discounts. That is the price to clean them because they are $200 shirts" Not only is this a ridiculous rip off but I was never informed of this when I dropped off or during the time I waited for my cleaning to be ready (they send text alerts) I told him I would not be returning and he promptly said "Ok! I will take you out of the system right now". So rude! Absolutely not worth our hard earned dollars to support a business like this in Lakeway. Shame on them! read more

I was told they closed at 4 pm on a Saturday. Pulled up about 5 mins before closing because I needed clothes for a trip the following week. The door was already locked so I knocked on the door. I saw a woman inside who saw me but then hid inside and would not answer the door. This is horrible customer service and though I have used this cleaners for years, the one time it was a little harder than just a simple drop off or pick up, they are unwilling to help. Wow, this place wins the bait and switch award. They send an email to bring your cleaning in on their anniversary for 50 percent off. So I hold for a couple more days and bring it in on the day (June 24). When I pick up there isn't a discount and I'm told I had to mention the ad. The ad says no coupon necessary. So they get you to bring a bunch of clothes in and then don't honor the ad. Great customer service. You deserve your one star rating. I'm finding a new cleaner. This is the second time they've bait and switched and quite frankly the quality control here is awful. I have to iron nearly 50 percent of all my cleaning due to terrible press work. I brought a two year old suit in for dry cleaning. When I picked it up, there was a hole in the collar. The manager claimed it was from wear. I had just worn the suit to a wedding the week before, and had pictures from the event. There was no hole in the pictures. They refused to accept responsibility, fix the hole or even refund the cleaning charges. read more
