I dropped off a few items last week. During that process, I was not given a cost…read moreestimate/receipt/breakdown of the cost. The woman who was working told me a receipt would be sent via text message shortly, so I left. Later that day, I realized I had never received a text. I checked my credit card statement and saw I had a pending charge from Rick's for $183.96. I immediately went to their website to see if they listed their prices (they do). I dropped off two clothing items (2 x 5.99) and four pillow covers (4 x 8.39) for a grand total of $45.54 + tax. I then called the store since this is obviously a huge discrepancy. Someone answered the phone and said I had reach a different store because the store I was trying to call did not have a working telephone. She told me I would have to go into the store and speak to someone. So I drive over to the store and speak to whoever is working (different employee that I had seen earlier that day). I began to explain what was going on and she immediately became defensive. She told me that the manager was gone and she couldn't help me. At this point I am pretty frustrated because this is becoming much more difficult than I needed to be. I told her to give me all of my items back and to cancel the transaction. She gave me the pillow covers back but then said she didn't know where the clothing items were and wasn't going to go looking for them. I said that was unacceptable. Then she calls someone with her personal cell. The woman she was speaking to (I believe her name was Anna(?) and I am assuming she is a manager and is the person I had interacted with earlier that day) was also very defensive from the start. After some back and forth, she handed me the cell phone to talk to her myself. She told me that she entered the pillow covers as couch cushions which are significantly more expensive. I find it hard to believe that she would have mistaken some standard sized pillow covers (20x20") for couch cushions - that's a huge difference in size. She was incredibly rude and defensive on the phone and completely unapologetic. I mentioned how I did not receive a text receipt to which she basically accused me of lying because she insisted that she sent it. I told her I never received it - so either she didn't send it or there was some sort of technical glitch. She also had the audacity to tell me that I "should've come back to the store before 3:15pm" - when she was leaving for the day. As if I am supposed to know her work schedule??? In this situation I would have expected her to apologize for the mistake and inconvenience and fix the issue. Instead she stated: "I'll change the price to the pillow covers, but you're going to pay an extra $8.00 each for pet hair". Really? These are *slubby* linen pillow covers - barely any pet hair. At this point I was really upset and told her to give me everything back. She told me that they won't be giving me the clothing items back since it was too much work to look for them. I made it clear that I wanted them to return the two clothing items and refund the whole order. I told her that if she wasn't going to return the clothing items that she still needed to refund the order since I was requesting them to give them back but she was too lazy to locate them. After more back and forth between the employee that was there and the one on the phone (Anna?), they finally agreed to refund the order and still send off the clothing items for cleaning. I cannot believe how rude the manager was through this whole process. I am not upset about the pricing - nor would I have been upset about a small/reasonable uncharge for the slubby fabric, but the attitude of the manager was unacceptable. It honestly seems like she was trying to up charge me in hopes that I wouldn't notice. I wonder how many times this happens? Pretty seedy behavior from "The Best of Austin."

Visited ZIPS on W Cannon for the first time Saturday to get their same day services. I returned to…read morelocation at 5p and was devastated that the store closed at 2p noted with a hand written sign. While I was very upset that the W Cannon location closed randomly, without a message notification, S Lamar's manager took it upon herself to pickup and deliver my clothes AFTER closing at her location. Highly recommend S Lamar for their whole hearted customer service and support!

I've been taking my clothes here with no issue. Over a month ago, they destroyed a sentimental item…read moreof clothing of mine that they had taken care of many times previously with no issue. The manager assured me I would be reimbursed, but not only was the damaged item never returned, but there has been no reconciliation on this matter. I used to take my clothes here because of the convenience and good service, but I will never bring my clothes here again.

BEWARE!! They Ruined My $330 Wool Shirt!…read more I only had one experience here, and it was enough to make sure I never come back. I brought in a No Nationality 100% Wool Overshirt ($330) that they completely ruined. It looks like they threw it into a washer and dryer, it came back misshapen, shrunk, and unwearable. I was understanding at first, hey accidents happen right? Nordstrom still carried the shirt in another color, so I replaced it myself and simply asked the cleaners to reimburse me for the damage. I've now called multiple times over four weeks, and every time I'm told "the manager will call you back." The call never comes. To make matters worse, on one call they forgot to put me on hold, and I overheard someone in the background say, "Ohhhh, it was wool." So they knew they ruined it, but still refuse to take care of it. If you value your clothes or your time, don't risk it here. Their lack of accountability and customer service is unacceptable.

Instead of offering a solution, the owner told me to go elsewhere for cleaning and they had no interest in fixing the damage. His attitude was terrible, showing zero concern on customer. The best they offered was a refund of the cleaning fee, which does nothing to compensate for the damage to an expensive coat. A reputable dry cleaner should stand by their work, not dismiss valid concerns. If you care about your high-end or delicate garments, I would not trust this place with them. They just won't take any responsibility. Extremely disappointed in their lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic customer service.

When you try to park, they rush outside and act rudely as if you're just trying to park there instead of being a customer. When you tell them you're a customer, they give a ridiculous response like, "How was I supposed to know?" The ironing quality is poor; shirts are not properly ironed. They can't remove stains at all. And they are very expensive. I do not recommend this place.
