There are lots of beers from which to choose. Beyond that, there's nothing special about this joint. It's a bar that happens to serve burgers. I had the cowboy burger. I've made better at home. If you want a good burger, Five Guys is a better option unless you just need a hipster fix. The fries were awful--some mediocre frozen brand. I think they used seasoned salt in a failed attempt to make the fries 'special'. The music was loud to the point of being annoying. No way to have a conversation without shouting. But again, this place is really a bar catering to bar goers and hipsters. read more

My friend and I used this as a meet up spot when I moved into the area and after that first visit I was hooked!! Their staff is genuine and friendly. The selection of burgers allows for everyone to find something they'll like. Their sweet potato fries are soo good, honestly.. dangerously good. Food- Excellent burgers! The buns are warm and soft and the burger patty is juicy and thick. I went on a Tuesday and had the special (the Ricketty Cricketty, I think) and it was to die for. I really liked their sweet potato fries as well! Beer- easily the most extensive beer collection in Greenville at great prices. I got some solid IPA recommendations from our server. Was in greenville for work and found this gem! I'm originally from Birmingham AL and we have a great jack Browns there as well! So when I saw this one I was excited! I went for an early lunch around 11:30 and it was already busy. They do not have many tables but I knew that walking in since the Birmingham location was much the same. I ordered the burger with pepper jelly and sweet potato fries. All were excellent! This is a great lunch spot just get there early! read more

Went for dinner with a good friend who is wheelchair bound from a line of duty injury, got put on a waitlist and told to leave to wait for the 50-60 minute wait time. ok no biggy. Time had passed, no contact , waited a bit longer and still no contact. Ended up going elsewhere. Looked at the wait list 4 hours later and there was 11 more people in front of us. read more

My boyfriend and I went the first week Jack Browns opened, and we have been back nearly weekly ever since. Everything is delicious, and even though there aren't "build your own" burgers with all the accessories, it's still one of the best damn things I've ever eaten. I went for lunch today. They have a menu consisting of classic and adventurous burgers. I got the jalapeño popper burger (beef patty, with cream cheese and jalapeños) and one of their many beer choices. It was a tasty combo. The star of the show was dessert...FRIED OREOS! Environment was fun and unique. Servers were friendly. Food was ok. Seems like a similar concept to ANGUS GRILL in by Pitt but with a lot more beer options. It's great if you're looking for a bar. And good for food. But overall it's over priced likely due to the location which is a good if you live within walking distance but otherwise very much out of the way. Probably won't be back as there are other places with equal or better quality food with larger servings or cheaper prices and easier access. read more

This ain't Burger King, they're not made your way, but their's are creative and tasty. Burgers are reasonably priced, but with fries extra, ~$10 total. And a side of fries is not ample for two. Good bar atmosphere with good music and sound system. A little loud for some conversations, but just right for a night of drinking and table talk. As mentioned by others, exceptional beer offering. Wife did not see a wine offering on the menus.(Am informed they offer the colors: red, white, and blush.) Contrary to other reviews, our service was poor. Favorite burger place in Greenville. The sweet potato fries are so so so good! Haven't had a burger I didn't like yet and I'm trying to get to all of them at some point! Service has always been great and they have live music some nights. Very cool atmosphere for a "hole in the wall" place here in town. Plus everyone in our group found a beer they liked. Great burger joint! My kids absolutely love it. "The Cowboy" is our family's personal favorite and we all love the secret sauce for our fries! Was a little disappointed on our initial visit to learn they did not offer lettuce and tomato BUT definitely not a reason to not return! So good we ate here twice! Traveling on business and we are a bunch of foodies. Normally we don't eat at the same place twice just for the sake of trying new things. However Jack Browns caused us to break that trend. Interesting blend of custom burgers and a huge beer selection. The sauce for the fries is spot on. Tried the Greg Brady which is a burger topped with Mac and Cheese and BBQ chips . Also tried the Elvis with bacon and peanut butter. Absolutely amazing!!! read more

My girlfriend and I use to eat here atleast 2 times a week. However this time we had a awful experience we tried to call twice for takeout and nobody picked up so we thought it was busy so we went instead. There was only a few tables there when we got there and when we got our food one of our burgers was burnt to a crisp and the other burger was completely different then what I ordered. Also on top of that we both have been awfully sick all night. I don't think we will be going back anytime soon sorry guys. read more

Best place to get a burger in Greenville, NC! The atmosphere of the place is awesome. It's a hole-in-the-wall joint and super chill. The staff behind the bar offer great service and are super friendly. Be sure to get there early on a weekend evening - they are busy and you'll more than likely have to wait a bit for a seat - but it's worth it! read more

The ambient is cool, but lacks space for big groups (7+). Patty was overcooked, apparently they do not have medium rare options. The bread is flimsy, no lettuce, tomato or onions on the cheeseburger. Beer is overpriced for the area, given the 2 breweries nearby. It wasn't super busy and food took a long time to be served (30+ minutes), something I usually let slide, but when your server orders himself a burger after you and gets served 15 minutes before you, that's an issue. Fries are frozen, not cut on site. I went with good recommendations from other people, but was seriously disappointed. After the manager's answer I've decided to edit my review and up the rating. Walked in at 8, got on the wait list for 2 people and was told 30 minutes, okay no problem. But when we sit outside and see people after us going and getting seated back to back, see your waitlist keep getting pushed back from 30 to 45 up to an hour I went in and asked for an update. Said he could help us when he could and had to show me all the people after me. I don't care about that. I have to wait outside due to Covid but employees not wearing masks. Left the waitlist, walked straight into Winslow's zero wait, live music, and much better service. It's sad that jack browns has had shit service the last few times because it's such great food. Great little place and an easy walk from a few of the bars and brewery's in Greenville. My friends and I love coming here after going to Pitt Street. The staff is amazing and so is the beer selection and eclectic decor! My only gripe is that they don't have any options besides the burgers (which I have heard are delicious) but i don't eat red meat. I do like their fries though! Otherwise great spot! read more

We called ahead to make sure they were seating inside (COVID reopening) and they were serving at 50% capacity. Cute area of downtown with metal sculptures decorating open areas. We waited about 10 minutes before being seated. They had an eclectic selection of burgers and a huge selection of beers on tap and bottled. The burgers were absolutely fantastic! I had mine with sweet potato fries which were good too. The decor is dollar bills that customers have been writing on and posting for years. Overall a fun and memorable bar/restaurant.
