I wanted to address the root of it. During that time, I asked everyone I knew in the Bay Area for recommendations, and I kept hearing the same name... Dr. Lieberman. After looking into his background, it made complete sense. Stanford, Cornell, advanced facial plastic surgery training, double board certified, and fully specialized in the face. I chose to move forward with Dr. Lieberman at L&P Aesthetics, and the experience felt incredibly personalized. I had direct access to him throughout the process, and he personally checked on me during recovery, which meant a lot. He actually called me himself multiple times to talk through the ptosis repair because I wasn't sure if I wanted to include it. He was very honest that I likely wouldn't be happy with my results doing just an upper bleph alone, and took the time to walk me through it until I felt completely confident in my decision. That level of care, especially from someone with such a busy practice, really stood out to me. When I finally had it removed after 2 1/2 months Emily of course was out of town so her aid removed it and when she did so she removed most of my hair on top of my head. It was the most painful situation I've been through in a very long time. She was lying to me and telling me it was natural shedding that she was removing when in fact, I have no hair left on top of my head so now it is very difficult for me to go back to my clip in toppers because I have so little hair left. I have been working so hard for the last two years to get my hair to grow back and it was doing so much better. Emily promised me that the solution to remove the glue was easy Peezy and would come right off NOT damage my own hair. It was excruciating. I was the first client of the morning, so I looked in the garbage can and saw the piles of my hair in there so I know how much came out. Things for you to think about before you EVER agree to have anything glued to your head by Emily. The cost of this piece is really expensive as I've priced it out with other pieces so her prices are high. The quality of her pieces are subpar as they literally shed all the time. And the itching is unbearable. No matter how often you wash it. She told me I should just shave my head to make it easier? WTF? She also doesn't mention that you will need to come back every six weeks to have this taken off and reapplied and that's $450 a visit. She also doesn't give you full instructions on how to care for it, how to wash it properly. She will tell you in a hurry while she's doing 3 other things... oh by the way, go to YouTube look at my videos! I told her in person that wasn't adequate, she needed to have more information available on how to care for these. The removal is brutal! Her commercial grade glue does not come off easily and they literally just pull your hair out! My scalp was so damaged! And if you read the reviews and you go down to the hidden reviews, you will see other people saying the exact same thing that I am saying. I was amazed by Tongtong's honesty, transparency, and experience, whereas a few other artists just recommended me the most expensive service rather than the most suitable one. Tongtong spent more than TWO HOURS on the nano blading eyebrows. She is one of the few and most detail-focused experts I have ever met: many times I was like "this part looks good/shall we move forward?" She was like "No this is not good enough. There used to be another 5-star review here that guided me to schedule my appointment but apparently it got removed by Yelp? :-( Hopefully mine stays put :-) The outcome I wanted was a natural looking set of eyebrows but a lot of shops make them either too dark, orange-y, or overly shaped. So I appreciate all the photos that Tong provided on Yelp to validate her consistency and incredible work. It's exactly what I wanted! Tong has been doing eyebrows and other cosmetic services for 6 years but is pretty new to Yelp (she uses other apps like Xiaohongshu (Little Red Book or the Chinese version of Instagram). I reached out to her via Instagram as she doesn't yet have a website. She doesn't use IG often so we had back and forths for about 2 weeks before we finally got something scheduled. I also had a lot of questions and she helped answer everything before we got to scheduling. The procedure took a little over 2.5 hours and I appreciated how detailed Tong was. She first outlined what the shape would look like and got my approval before starting the actual process. The numbing cream was clutch; I didn't feel any pain! Afterwards, she texted me instructions on what to avoid doing over the next 7-28 days, and also sent me home with some saline wipes for the next two hours after as well as instructions for the next two days (simple steps to wipe the brows and retain the pigment). She rents a room inside the nail salon so just head into Sassy Nail Spa. It's located in a big outdoor shopping plaza so lots of parking (and food options). I'll post photos when it's all set and gravy. I'm really happy with how they turned out. Thank you so much, Tong! HIGHLY recommend.
