It was getting late. We were driving down from the Bay Area. It had already been a long day, and there was still almost an hour and a half to get home. We stopped at this JITB to get something light to eat, and to use the restroom. We were hoping that the dining room would still be open, as it was getting to the time of night when only drive-thru lanes are available. We lucked out. I think we had about 20 minutes to spare before they would lock the doors to the interior. Despite that, the cashier was friendly and didn't make us feel rushed. Dear Hubby ordered the mini tacos, and he was happy. I don't recall what I ordered, and my photo folder reveals that I didn't take any pictures from which to refresh my memory. I do recall that this location met our needs that night. The dining room was very clean, in fact we had to be careful where we stepped as they had just mopped the floor. Ordered 2 large sodas on a hot day with light ice. They said that they were out of Dr pepper so we told them just one soda and cancel the other one. They came back and said they do have a little Dr pepper. They lied. it was diet Dr pepper with heavy ice. it was disgusting. The tacos were over sauced and the burgers tasted off. To top it off they wouldn't give us any BBQ sauce not even one without charging extra, 30 cents per sauce. 2/11/23 I know what you're thinkin'...why Jack in the Crack after visiting Solvang? We gots to go!!! Hubby says that rain is predicted to hit Solvang & we wanted to avoid it for an uneventful ride back home. So we opted to just get a quick bite & skedaddle. This location is right before the 101 South, perfect! The staff was amiable & the service was quick, we were in & outta there in about 5 minutes, give or take. Got a chicken nugget combo with fries & hubby's chicken sandwich. Everything is pretty good except for the salty fries but maybe hubby's tome if the month is ip & he wanted the saltiness-am LMAO, coz he doesn't know I'm putting that on this review. Anyway, I know it's a chain & really nothing to write home about but the service was quick & he was nice, fries & nuggets were piping hot, tasty (although salty but hubby's giving it the 2 thumbs up). I stoped by Jack in the box & ordered the taco meal, It includes 3 tacos French fries and a drink. I asked for a pack of taco sauce and 1 ranch. The lady informed me that ranch is extra and you do not get ANY ranch with your meal. This is extremely ridiculous especially when everything in my meal is a ranch worthy item. We love Jack in the box. However, this was the worst location I've ever been too. We're out on vacation and stopped by for a quick lunch on our way back home. The manager, Gloria, provided horrible service. She refused to take our order and told us to order on the self serve screen. Another employee walked over, crew member, and proceeded to help up. I feel bad for the staff, very short handed. We ordered two small burgers at 1:02 pm, and still didn't have our food by 1:15, so we asked about it. OH WE ALREADY GAVE THAT ORDER AWAY!! We were told. I just stopped by this place. I got for whole my family. I since I got there the manager gave me a bad attitude, because I spoke to her in Spanish. She thought probably that I was not bilingual. I ask her if I can use the restroom before her coworker starts to clean the then and she disagrees with that. I thought that she will aloud me to use it after being clean. The single worst Jack in the Box I have ever visited. No customers in the restaurant yet the lady texting behind the counter says after we waited 5 min, "I'll be with you in a bit". Another 5 min goes by and someone else comes up and actually helps us; no apology for the wait or even a welcome though. The store was nasty and dirty, there is zero pride with the staff. My feet stuck to the floor in the restroom, there was TP all over the floor and it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a week. I even was afraid to touch the door handle to get out. The mat in front of the soda machine was not just sticky but gooey. As I lift my foot up, I could feel and see strings of goo coming up from the mat to my shoe. I'm sure it cleaned off all the goo from the restroom that was on my foot though. All the trash cans were overflowing. There was even a manager going around taking pictures of the cans but not doing anything about it or the mess. I won't even go into the inconsistency of the food. Suffice it to say, it was on par with the lack of care shown throughout the entire restaurant. I will NEVER visit this store again. Driving from Southern California to SLO, we stopped because my husband really enjoys the Jack In the Box milkshakes. We went to drive through . When we received the milkshake it was a thick soft cone type ice cream. They said they couldn't do anything about it. He asked for a refund as he didn't want an ice cream with his burger. They said they couldn't because there wasn't a manager in duty .... It was Sunday, 1:30 in the afternoon. I ran in to use the restroom and found it very dirty unfortunately, with no seat covers, tissue all over the floor and the sink was dirty, etc. Not good. I hope this helps improve this location. Do not go here!!! I just experienced the worst customer service ever. After a long day at work, my brother and I stopped by with coupons that we had just gotten. I paid with my coupon for my item and then my brother paid with his card and his coupon. SANDRA, a very distasteful and rude employee practically threw my brothers bag while saying "next time you need to tell me that there is a coupon and only ONE coupon for both of you". I then stated that the coupon says one coupon per guest and we were separate orders/guests. She again said the same thing to me in a very rude tone. Stopped here on our way home from vacation yesterday to grab a quick bite for lunch. This review is more about the service, the food was fresh and hot so all was good there. A very nice man helped us, his name said Patrick and I believe he was the manager. He was so kind, helpful and just had a really good energy about him. If I lived in the area I would surely patronize again, corporate (I hope you are reading this) he is a 5 star manager and a beyond excellent asset for your brand.
