Order took 25 minutes and the food was cold. They missed our shake and milk so we had to wait longer on top of the 25. Other customers kept coming back in because of missed items in their orders. They had enough staff but I was watching them prepare and they are all young (including the manager). They were all slow moving and were just joking around. We could also hear swearing back and forth between them as part of their normal conversation. The food was all ready and in bins so all they had to do was put the orders together. Good god! You gotta do something about these wait times. I'm not just talking about the excitement/brand new place wait times either. I understand when the line is literally down the block. Twice now, I've had to wait for a half an hour in the lobby, with less than 4 people in line. It's just fast food. We shouldn't have to wait this long. There is no one to take our order and no open kiosk. Once you order, go take a walk around the neighborhood. You aren't getting your order for at least fifteen minutes. I decided to come here since I haven't eaten at Jack in the Box in a long time. The parking lot is kind of small so I can see why it gets backed up at peak times. I ordered the jumbo breakfast platter and also two tacos. The breakfast platter is not really jumbo, you can see from the picture that you don't get a lot. McDonald's has a better bargain for about the same price and more filling. French toast sticks were too chewy, Burger King does them better. The hash browns were okay, I prefer them to be crispy and moist like McDonald's. These were just crispy and lacked moisture. The tacos were good though and that's the only thing worth getting so far. Where to start...parking in the lot side with the drive-thru is a disaster, less than 7 parking spaces and the extremely slow drive-thru makes just parking an issue. Inside is no better, we placed our order at 2:56pm 2 cheeseburgers, 4 tacos, fries and 2 drinks. Simple for any fast food restaurant however not Jack in the box, we waited 30 minutes to get our order and then it was mediocre at best. On my previous review, I noted that my husband and I will be back next month. Well we went back after 26 days.... We saw the line at the drive thru wasn't bad but we decided to dine-in. Bad decision... there we several people inside we posted our order on 1 of 2 kiosk. We waited and waited ... after more than 45 minutes our number was called: 1 grilled chicken combo, 2 tacos and 1 cheese burger. I was cooked well but my sourdough bread was mushy in the center while the edge was grilled crispy! The area wasn't clean: crumbs on top of vacant tables, floor was littered with pieces of paper and napkins. I guess all the staff had to attend to the kitchen. This was the worst fast food experience I've ever had. We visited on Sat 1/10 at 3 PM. No one at the counter took our order so we had to use the kiosk. After waiting 25 minutes an employee announced the system is down bring me your receipts. There were about a dozen of us that turned in receipts. These orders were then filled in order of when the receipts were turned in-not who ordered first. After another 15 minutes, 40 total I received my order. Minus drinks. The chicken strips were luke-warm. The tacos were just above room temperature. Hardly worth waiting 40 minutes. I did receive two coupons for free fries WITH a purchase. Too bad the coupons were expired as of 10/31/2025. The expired coupons really don't matter as I'll never be back. read more

My husband & I went out of our way to Countryside to try this because in the past it was great. The food was awful as if it was taken out of the garbage cans. I took a small bite out of the cheeseburger & it was ice cold & horrible! We did order onion rings & they were just ok. My husband could not eat the food either. The manager was walking around asking how our food was. We told him & he walked away, never came back. I felt like getting our $ back but we just said forget it. As someone from Texas, I've always loved Jack in the Box and have supported this chain across multiple states over the years. That's what made this experience especially disappointing. This location was listed as open and within operating hours, but when I arrived it was completely closed with no notice or explanation. I've always had great experiences with this brand, so it's frustrating to waste time because the hours weren't accurate. Please update operating hours so loyal customers aren't misled. read more

Placed order and waited another 25 minutes for food. Ridiculously expensive California pricing in Illinois, even more than McDonald's at downtown location. Ordered Sourdough Jack Meal for $12.89 + 3 Eggrolls for $4.79, as that is what I read online to be their best items. Burger arrived cold and fries were limp & cold & covered black grit from grill or somewhere. It was not seasoning. Must be another Cali thing. Burger was nothing special, couldn't taste any Sourdough flavor. Too much mayo, spilling out after each bite. Definitely not worth the $17.18 I paid. Fast food is not a concept they understand. Manager was running orders and staff was standing around waiting for something to do. Instead of throwing down multiple burgers at once, seemed they were cooking one at a time and they still came out cold. Manager should have been watching and directing employees... you know Managing. Tons of security directing traffic only to constantly repeat what customers cant do. Cant park in parking lot (employees can but most customers had to park on street, cause you know employees are more important), cant allow too many people (five at a time, with plenty more waiting for food as it took forever to get food) to enter restaurant as only one register was open, Drive through was even longer and slower. Security handed out menus to scan for app, but app did not recognize store because it's too new. So no placing orders to speedup process. FREE FRIES Friday on app was not honored. Kiosk was non operational and covered in plastic bag. Saw staff but no one from Jack in the Box Mgmt. Seemed they didn't care to oversee new opening or properly train staff on how a fast food joint should run. Or maybe no one trusts Gen Z to work or understand. Gen Z staff took no initiative on their own for sure. Should talk to Dick Portillo on how to run a restaurant as it was awesome when he ran Portillo's. Not so much now. When one orders Eggrolls, I should not be asked if I want sauce. It should be in the bag. Not enough supplies (napkins, straws, etc) were available or filled without asking. Disappointing intro to Jack in the Box in Chicagoland leaves me with no desire come back and NOT recommend to anyone. Stay away unless you want to pay for poor service & cold food. Location recently opened but clearly not ready yet. It took 10 min to order inside, the drive through line was long but also moving slow. There was only one employee taking the orders and left the register twice during the time I was in line. Once to refill cup lids and another to put on gloves and bag food , even though I counted at least 10+ people in back. Once we ordered, we sat and waited 45 min, only to receive the wrong order initially. When we finally got our food, both burgers were cold, and one curly fry was half full of broken fries. I go to actual restaurants and get real food in less than 45 min. This location needs more training and management that understands and knows how to run a fast food kitchen.
