Well I have had better experiences here. This experience was not that great. The burgers were not warm at all!!!! The cheese looked as if it was heat lamped on the meat. The tacos were ok. The fries were the only thing that was in point. The service could be better as the staff just seem on auto-pilot and could show better friendly service. It took nearly 30 minutes for them to acknowledge me. 3 different employees walked by the counter, backs turned, ignoring all customers until having to actually take their orders. This was a weird visit today. I walked in late afternoon, the first thing I noticed as I walked in, an employee was sitting and eating having a loud conversation with an employees behind the counter. Paola, the manager, was horrible today. I don't plan to come back. I had a 5 dollar coupon for the Buttery Jack combo, the drive thru guy asked what size. I told him medium. So Paula takes over and I guess she was saying coupon was only for the small size , which then I agreed to. My wife asked if I get or have the receipt. So, not only is the drive thru staff (either Patricia or the other heavier lady), extremely rude over the loud speaker, they completely fuck up my order by leaving a hamburger out completely. I had surgery today and my husband has pneumonia so we were trying to grab something quick and easy for dinner. I really dont rate many drive thru places unless it was horrible or they did something to go out of their way. The night crew works as a team to provide everyones meals on time. The representative Patricia stood out with her excellent communication and smile that can brighten up the rest of your day which was my situation. Five big ones for The Box. I see no reason to hate on The Box or Jack for that matter. I was more than pleased with the friendly and helpful counter Jack lady and equally so with the food. I ordered the Jack Munchie Box which was cheap enough for me. I opted for the Grilled Cheese Cheeseburger Stacker and two Tacos and Fries and a bev. All food was freshly made and hot AF -even the fries. Jack allegedly makes all food to order. Not sure if this is an urban myth but that's the word. The tacos were hot n' tasty and the "meat" was well seasoned. The burger was a sourdough grilled "cheese" sammy used as the top bun for the burger for a stacker sitch. Again, hot n' tasty. The "cheese" was Monsanto/DuPont nacho-type goo/slime push-button dispenser cheese. The fries were a curlie and straight fry combo. Mind you, this area is not Beverly Hills so expect a high ghetto component to the "clientele" as numerous bums "dine" here and often cause a scene. We stopped in the drive-thru last night (12.27.18). Whoever was running the drive-thru at that very moment was VERY rude. We ordered two curly fries, And they gave us regular fries. When we tried to correct the order the girl at the drive thru window was so mad she got the order wrong, She slammed the two screen doors in my face very aggressively. She then recharged us AGAIN, which is fine because we kept the original fries, but she wanted to take the original fries back. I am pretty sure that might be against health code to take back after a certain amount of minutes (and we waited at the window for a little while), but if you are charging me again for fries, you cannot take the original back?? As soon as she corrected the order she only gave us one fry instead of two as we had originally asked for. She then wanted to charge us again (and she was charging us wrong). Wow.. She was extremely frustrated over the order of curly fries and backed up the entire line. To top it off, she stood near the window, while giving us an extremely rude attitude, and started cussing us out in Spanish. Little did she know we speak Spanish. She offended us and our mother. Ordered two tacos, plain chicken sandwich and small fry. 1.) Tacos were cold and hard. 2.) Bun on chicken sandwich completely burnt. 3.) Fries were cold to touch. I go here all the time and the ONLY reason I do is it's the closest fastfood joint near my house and my kids love their breakfast food for dinner. I cannot tell you how many times I will get home and my food is made wrong, food is missing, or I got items I didn't order. I have gotten better about checking my bag to make sure I got all the items I ordered but more than 50% of the time they are made wrong. And when I have pulled away and noticed an error, I park, walk into the restaurant and tell them, usually the response is "oh, ok" not "sorry" and they never offer anything for my inconvenience.
