This was easily the worst drive-thru experience I've ever had. Even places like In-N-Out (with consistently long lines) move faster than this. I got in line at 2:00 PM, and by 2:43 PM I was still stuck with five cars ahead of me. The line didn't even look that long when I pulled in. I placed a mobile order, but the flow of cars and order-taking felt really inefficient. At the pace things were moving, it seemed like both the ordering process and the kitchen were struggling to keep up. I'm really looking forward to the Jackson location reopening. I will say my food smells amazing. If I had gotten it even ten minutes sooner, I probably wouldn't have felt the need to write this review. This Chick-fil-A location does not disappoint! Their outdoor seating is covered for shade, which is needed here in San Diego. We did a mobile order pick up inside. They were quick to take our name and bring out our food. We checked in and they gave us our drinks while we waited. When we picked up the food it was fresh! They even asked if we needed more sauces. My issue was not with the food. The food here is always delicious.!!!! My issue is with cleanliness. When I walked into the front door, I could see that the glass was dirty the the handles look dirty as well and I chose to sit outside, even though it is pretty warm and sticky outside. But when I sat down, I noticed that the cement was dirty nasty. Yes, it's outside seating but that reflects on the restaurant. Sometimes by being a creature of habit you might miss out on an eating opportunity. Today was the first time I've tried the grilled chicken nuggets which were well-seasoned, flavorful and low calorie. In fact, the flavor on the nuggets should be on the grilled chicken for salads. And I actually like the kale salad. But who wants to pay $4.45 for a palm size side salad? In fact, I could buy a whole bag of kale, poppy seed dressing, throw in slender almonds and voila. And it'll be just as delish. I will no longer get the breaded chicken nuggets because the grilled ones were so good, and it also saves some calories around the tummy. Extra shout out to Alyssa for her pleasant and meek spirit. And congrats on college. I have been coming to this chic restaurant for several years, and it seems to only be getting worse. Food orders are always wrong. The young folks taking your order put on FAKE smiles and act as if they are entering your order correctly. Every time I have been here? For some reason, they cannot get extra pickles on the sandwich, even when asked. Other times, I have gotten a stomachache after eating a sandwich from here. Today I elected to take pictures. Lettuce had black pigments on it ? And the tomatoes look days old? WTF! Who is managing this place, and why would you serve blackened lettuce and old tomato? Other times, when I have walked in the front doors are filthy in appearance with grease look and handprints on the doors. The kids' area has a smell, and an appearance of an infected pitri dish waiting to get your child sick. I would be curious to see what a city health inspection of this place would reveal. I don't even know what to say about this Chick Fila. I never write reviews about fast food places because what's the point? However, this location has such outstanding customer service I had to comment on it. Normally, Chick Fila treats you well no matter the location, but this one was above and beyond. We had a little wait because there was a long line, but everyone that helped us couldn't have been nicer about it by asking if we had been helped yet and apologizing for the long service time. It was nice to know someone cared. Most fast food places they could care less. Been to chick fila 3 times The last month. Each time they have messed up my order. Today, I was shocked when grabbing my chicken strip container. We ordered 3 salads because their salads are delicious. We picked up our order and it didn't take long at all. They only gave me 2 of the salads I ordered. I usually check my order before I leave but in this case I forgot to. I tried calling 3 times to let them know and the call took me through an automated system and then it hung up on me. I ordered on my App and was rewarded a free chicken sandwich. This Chick-fil-A was only a block away from me that's located on Mission Gorge rd. The App was easy to order from, and you are given a choice to pick it up at drive thru, pick it up inside, or have it deliver curbside. I chose the drive-thru, and the wait was about 15 minutes. I think curbside will be faster to use, in my opinion. You just park in a marked stall, and food is given to you. The customer service was good. The chicken sandwiches were delicious. Recently posted on IG, is the glorious invention of Buffalo Chicken Mac n Cheese. No one has actually thrown a trade mark down on this name, so I may end up going down to county records and filing for myself. There's a goldmine in my future when this takes off. Thank me later! After winding our way through the drive thru equivalent of the Spacemountain line at Disneyland, we finally arrived at the menu and speaker to order. The ingredients to this concoction are simple. There are only three. Doubt they'd even consider this a "hidden menu" item like other fast food joints may say. But here goes... order whatever size side of Mac n Cheese along with some fried Chik-fil-A nuggets. When asked about sauce for the nuggets, grab the Buffalo sauce. Combining said sauce, nuggets AND Mac n cheese could get rather messy. So also request an extra bowl. Salad bowl worked wonders on this trip! Separate the Mac n Cheese in approximately half. Drop in how ever many nuggets you prefer. Then carefully pour that Buffalo sauce until your hearts content. The more the merrier. It's not "hot" but more tangy. Mix and enjoy! You're welcome. This visit was unexpected because we just got done eating those birria tacos and ramen, but my "entrée compartment" (you know, the one that's completely separate from the dessert compartment?!) still had some wiggle room so I remembered a post I saw on IG and had to dupe it! This Chick-Fil-A location is located in Santee at Mission Gorge Rd. (at Hazeldon Dr.). Just like any other location, the line inside or out is always long, but they move fast. Since we were just wanting to sample the Buffalo Mac, we ordered the 8 oz. Mac 'n Cheese, 8 piece nuggets, and of course the zesty buffalo sauce. Ask for an extra bowl because the mac container won't be big enough! We split it into 2 servings, which was perfect! Constructing this was quick and easy. Simply bust off the cover from the mac, throw a few nuggets on top, and drizzle both with that zesty buffalo sauce. It's not a fancy meal, but it surely filled the tiny void left in my entrée compartment!! I was satisfied but not full, which is a good thing. Damn the gram for showing me what I didn't need to see...but who am I kidding?! I liked it, lol! Chick-Fil-A service is pretty quick. We asked for extra utensils and still only got one. Luckily we had extras in the car. Thanks to Janet M. for posting the mac, I never even knew they had it! This magical little twist made for a nice upgrade on a typical side dish! 4 stars for not including the extra utensils we asked for, and the mac 'n cheese we got included some burnt pieces which clearly came from the bottom of the pan.
