My Go To's: - 6 Tacos (99 cents for 2 in the app!) - Churros - Curly Fries LOTS Of buttermilk as my dip sauce for tacos and fries. have no complaints with getting food here because it satisfies cravings! The tacos are fried and then lettuce and sliced cheese is placed and the shell is just greasy crunchy! Dip in buttermilk and ooooo weee! The churros are delicious coming from a fast food place - stuffed with caramel - These are delicious when eaten freshly fried! The curly fries they are seasoned and cooked perfectly all the time- No sogginess here. Love JITB - Florida should be opening up one soon! Had terrible service 08/27/25 I went through the drive through @4:55 pm today and I asked for a second at the drive thru and she came on the mic aggressive 10 seconds later.The hispanic lady with the mole kept rushing me and there was no one in line. Zero stars! Absolutely horrible experience. Its fast food so im not asking for anything but basic however I do expect you to get my order correct after I tripple checked while placing my order. Good grief, what has happened to my favorite Sourdough Jack? It's not what it used to be. What's next? Veggie Burgers? This is the Jack-in-the-Box (JITB) that's across the street from Chabot College in Hayward. It's on busy Hesperian Blvd, and just south of the shopping mall. I went thru the drive-thru at around 10pm, and service was fairly speedy. I ordered a Sourdough Jack and a large curly fries. The hot fries were great, but the Sourdough Jack was nothing like it once was. Maybe they should just remove it from the menu. read more

For years I've ordered good good sauce with my food but recently they've started getting lazy and putting sauce cups on the side instead of inside the burger. There's no reason why they can't put the sauce inside claiming it was a health safety hazard when they've done it in the past. I don't want to have to open a wrap or burrito and waste time adding the sauce myself. Literally just spent 15m arguing with them and they had no good excuses other than we can't do it. Chef is this Indian mf whose name starts w a P and his just as braindead manager that run night shift on weekdays or at least Fri night-Sat morning. I really don't know what to say about this place... there's definitely nothing special about it, but I admit to continue to go here from time to time. Well, one instance is when they state they're open from 5am-10pm but when I attempted to open their door at 6am today...the doors were locked. I then decided to call the establishment and the lady on the other end told me they were only open for "drive through only". Another incident was the "drive through"... I placed my order beforehand (waited patiently with all the cars) then when I arrived at the window to pay and retrieve my food, the man in the window would not let me add a cheesecake to my order! It was ridiculous! Just because there was another car in back of me and this man couldn't perform "under stressful conditions" customer service was "out the door"! I am not surprised that this place received the rating it did. A lot of work needs to be done here, especially in the area of customer service. read more

The woman at the window gave us major attitude and tried telling us we were wrong. When the four people in the car were telling her otherwise, she was not helpful nor polite about it at all!!! With the Chicken Strip Combo she tried to tell us that she never heard us say that that's what we wanted when again the four people in the car were telling her otherwise. Then with The CLASSIC Buttery Jack she tried telling us that we ordered The Bacon and Swiss Buttery Jack WHEN EVEN ON THE RECEIPT IT SAID THE CLASSIC BUTTERY JACK!!! Today is Nov 08. I stopped by there to use the restroom after getting some supplies at Smokey's shop. I took care of my business, washed my hands, and was heading out the door when I saw it was chained shut with a padlock!!! I thought "oh damn, is there a robbery happening here". I was stumped for a bit when another customer from outside attempted to open the door unsuccessfully. An employee came up, asked the customer if he's coming inside, undid the chain, and I got out. Aside from the awkwardness, this is a stupidly huge fire code violation!!! To lock the single exit out of the building while people are still inside. There's a location really close to our house, but I had wanted to go here again for over a year (I went here a few times about 20 years ago, and again a few years later). I went through the drive with my wife and ordered breakfast sandwich with scrambled eggs , picked up order with shell . I pulled over came to the counter to complain and was told they do not scramble eggs. When I told them all other Jack and the Box do it , the young Hispanic guy he his well we do not hear . I asked for the manager and told to call the number on the wall. When I called the number it did not work . It seemed that all the staff in the kitchen spoke Spanish with guy that took my order and could care less about taking care of the customer . As I sat there for over 5 mins to get an answer if they were going correct the issue and told they could not do scrambled eggs . I then asked for a refund and since my wife paid with her card the hispanic guy asked her to come in and then asked why . I was told since she paid , so I had her get out of the car after having hip surgery and wall into the store and to make matters even worse they did not ask her for her card just the receipt I had already when I complained . This is a very small Jack in The Box establishment for dining in, very comparable to the one on Mission St in Hayward but did not seem to be busy when going in there for lunch. Had the craving for their new Smoky Burger and it was awesome. They had Wifi in there which was a plus and 2 TV's to watch, should you be the lucky one to find a seat since there is limited seating.
