this jack is pretty old. the counters are located right next to the front door. behind the counter is the window for the drive-thru orders. eats: 5 chicken nuggets(1.29) -a mix of Mcd's liquified chicken and popeye's real chicken. -pricier than mcnuggets, .26 vs. .20. -5 minutes to prep, nice with honey mustard sauce. -nuggets nice crunch but flavorless crumbs: -pretty good smiling service post noon. read more

Thursday, July 16, 2019!!!!! We pulled up at 1:45 AM and they said they were closed. And they close at 2 AM. There were 2 girls and 1 guy sitting on their ass doing nothing. And they finally took my order 5 minutes later just to tell me that they weren't open at 1:50 AM. They said they were closed at 1:50 AM. This has happened multiple times. If it were possible I'd give them no stars, no rating. read more

This place is pretty much a no fly zone unless you're drunk as heck and dont care what you put in your body. This place is notorious for getting orders wrong, undercooking the food, forgetting to give you the food you pay for, etc. You absolutely HAVE to check your order before you leave. I've been here a few times before with no problems until today. Drive thru service was so rude trying to rush my order after I had asked him that It was rude to have people rush their orders especially when I have a large order for kids. He apologized then threw in an attitude with the remark that it's a fast food industry. I told him I get that but no need to rush a customer through an order for accuracy he proceeded to repeat the same statement with attitude and with that kind of service and response I don't need that kind of service and so I left without my order yet he charged me for it. I went to another jack in the box who kindly and patiently waited for me to finish my order and I got all of my order with accuracy. Simple as that. That transgender with the attitude at the other jack in the box could learn a thing or two about customer service regardless of it being a fast food industry service; customer service is key to having customers. Jack in the Box is horribly delicious. Grilled sourdough, fattening shakes, and 2 for 99 cent tacos...I mean...can you go wrong? Oh...apparently you can. This location seems to just not LISTEN. I asked for no mayo...he asked for no tomatoes...I asked for some ranch...she asked for no cherry. It's in a run down location in a run down building surrounded by sadly, run down people. Although we live around the corner, it's not terribly fun to walk there...except at three in the morning in togas, because seriously...what can go wrong?! They're little things I know (except for the mayo...that ruined my sandwich.) But I go to Jack in the Box because I'm making the conscious decision to eat an heart attack in a bag...I want to enjoy my slow decent into diabetes not regret it. Absolutely the worst Jack in the Box! As other reviewers mentioned, prices are higher (significantly) at this location compared to the one on Winton. Example, large shake is $2.99 at the Winton store, $3.69 at this location. Speaking of shakes, this location must water down their shakes. It's always about half as thick as other locations. Another bad point, this must be one of the few JitB that's not 24 hours. I understand that I shouldn't expect too much, but I would suggest if you really have a craving for those world famous mystery meat tacos, go to the one on Winton in the warehouse district. They are open 24 hours and the people that work there are actually friendly. read more

I went here several times when I had a work assignment, too funny in its own way for me to say what. The work assignment required me to appear at a specified time; besides a restroom was in order upon driving to Hayward. The breakfast food was moderately good and not much overpriced. The restroom was very cramped but it certainly was welcome. The clientele was partly scraggly but decent. The seating is not all that roomy but it was always possible to squeeze in somehow. There is a tv set which plays reports which may or may not be interesting. This Jack in the Box had the right location, and was not overpriced by much, and had a serviceable restroom. I would have found it difficult to park in the lot at this location, so I parked on the little Pinedale street running off to the west from Mission Blvd. read more

Long overdue review. This may sound like an exageration but the drive thru here messes up your order about half the time -worse then any other place I've ever experienced. Literally a 50% success rate in getting your order right despite you verifying if your order is 'correct on the screen'. My tip would be to sit in your car and thoroughly check your bags before you leave. read more

Horrible. I have been coming here for a long time. Three years to be exact. I travel to Hayward and sometimes I don't eat breakfast so I can beat traffic. Yet, I have been rushed at the window for not having my order options ready. I'm trying to find the healthiest option! One large diet coke somehow got coffee in it, and then two iced teas after that were either just coffee or had coffee in them. I don't know how they managed that, which kind of scares me too much to ever go back. My wife Chantrelle and I are huge fans of this "Jack" character from the advertisements we see on our talking picture box, so we thought we'd stop by one night after our blood-spatter anylysis class. Although Jack himself was NOT there, (note : managers should ALWAYS be present, especially famous ones), we had a wonerful time eating our delicious Jumbo Jacks, tacos, and luxurious milk-floats. For dessert, we ended with what we thought at first were small packages of dainty cherry mousse, but found, (after six or so), that is was actually ketchup. How quaint! read more

I'm so mad. I ordered a kids meal, a breakfast meal & and extra order of curly fries. I realized that my order was incorrect on the screen. It showed that I was replacing my hash brown with fries but that's not what I wanted so I let her know at the window that I want the hash brown with the meal and an extra order of curly fries. She said ok. I paid and waited. Then she handed me my food so fast she didn't give me a chance to ask for sauce so I waited. She opened the window looking super irritated and just stared at me. I said can I get some ranch and she damn near threw them at me. I get home and there's no curly fries in my bag. Wtf. I got all the way home and took my 2 sleeping babies out of their car seats I'm not gonna hassle with putting them back in the car and going all the way back over there but I'm so annoyed that I paid for for something and didn't get it and I got an attitude. This is the worst Jack In The Box in the neighborhood. We asked for 2 iced coffees, one with sugar and one without sugar so the lady repeated our order just to confirm and then when we went to pick up our food, both of them PACKED with sugar. The guy who gave us the food said that we can't do no sugar on the ice-coffees yet, the lady confirmed our order and didn't say anything about it. I would rather eat out of a garbage can than go to McDonald's. But it's still just a jack in the box. I am stuck at this stupid bus stop again. I could go to Jack in the Box as I have many times before including many Sundays after laundry while waiting for the bus. It helps to know bus arrival but we are penalized because of Bart strike so the computer does partial predictions and saves some surprises so no Jack in the Box while waiting without an eta. This is a great Jack in the Box though really was intended for Drive Thru but dining room expanded and is a real chain stop. Greasy food is very good and is a specialty. This is as greasy and as healthy as it gets. I get food advice from doctors and I McDonalds is at bottom of the list except for breakfast. Jack is easily recommended because had trouble and are very careful with quality hence consistent good tasting greasy food.
