FOOD. Ordered a classic smash burger with a small order of fries. The beef was juicy, thick and flavorful and the bun was soft and fresh. The smash burger was very good and I liked it. On the other hand, the fries were dull, spongy and greasy and I didn't like the fries. So, I deducted 2 stars for the fries. The meal was much more costly than a comparable burger and fries meal I can make in my own kitchen, but it's adequate for a "meal-on-the-go" fast food restaurant. AMBIANCE AND LOCATION. It's a typical Jack in the Box franchise, located near the 5 Freeway. Nothing special. Seating is provided inside the restaurant or you can use the drive-thru service. They do have a pick-up window at the door for any late-night order pick-ups as well as a drive-thru. After placing a mobile order my order was ready promptly. Jocelyn is an amazing employee. She was very pleasant and accommodating when I ordered my special drink. I always get a large water with a splash of either Powerade or Lemonade. Most of the other Jack In The Boxes in the area, look at me like I have two heads for ordering this. They act like they don't understand. Jocelyn on the other hand got it right immediately. She was so cheerful and kind. I told her that I would drive up to this location instead of going to the ones in my area, which is South Orange County. Jocelyn is amazing and deserves a raise! Came through the drive thru like 10 minutes ago and had an excellent experience! The drive thru operator repeated our order and made sure they had it right and repeated it again at the window but not only did they get everything right but they put our meals together in individual bags with the right sauces. It was nice they took the time because we didn't order meals we ordered two Jr chicken sandwiches and two small fries and they had it all ready separated for us. The fries were hot and fresh too! Not a good jack in the box to come too I came for something real simple in order tacos. It took him 25 minutes to get me the tacos. The first time around they were cold. All they did was put them back in the fryer. Give them back to me and then let them sit there another five minutesand get cold again. I'm not happy with the service that I got here for something as simple as two tacos, I don't think it should be a problem. I went to some other ones in irvine and they somehow always get my order wrong. When I come here, they always get my order correct. Only my 2nd time at Jack in the Box in the last 7 years. It took the TMobile freebie deal (chicken sandwich with a purchase) to get me in. A great example of a beneficial collab. I had to download the app to place this order. It's an easy to use app. It had a fantastic feature "make now" red button you click when you're close to the destination so you can have the hottest and freshest meal. The chicken sandwich is small in comparison to other businesses. Kid's size but it's fine. It's enough for a meal. The chicken tasted like Burger King's. The onion ring was very good. Crunchy, not oily, large. Too pricey though for the size ($4). Pull your car up to the drive thru window, and they hand you your bag. Easy peasy. read more

I didn't want to write this, but this is ridiculous. There's some middle-older age mexican lady with red tint hair and omg, every time she's here my order gets fucked up. Whether it's her forgetting sauce that she confirmed she put in the bag, the wrong flavor of coffee, or forgetting my orange juice. She always fucks up, and it's not a hard job. Went through the drive thru the other day and unfortunately was given the wrong meal. Called in and the lady was super nice about coming in to get a refund so I went in and Andrew not only helped me with a refund but went above and beyond and gave me a whole new meal that was what I originally wanted. This particular location is conveniently located right off the 5 freeway and is the nearest fast food location near the Great Park Ice Arena, so it is convenient when you have to feed hungry hockey players quickly.
