I want to preface with the employees have always been lovely to me and I have no complaints in regards to service or anything! Mostly, look, I don't expect a lot from fast food but lately it feels like every time I've gone here recently they're out of something: Sprite, ranch, curly fries, large fry containers??? If they could improve their ordering system it would improve the experience. Also, the fries lately taste overcooked and/or (more likely) like they've been sitting under the heat lamp too long. It's getting to the point that quality/availability have me looking to other nearby locations instead of going to my closest location. read more

I got it home and noticed the sourdough had barley been toasted at all. I thought it may have been because they where busy? Last night I tried again with a sourdough jack. I went to the Jack in the Box in Covington, Washington (16757 SE 272nd St, Kent, WA 98042) on March, Friday 5th, 2021 only to be mocked and laughed at be the employee working the drive through. English is my second language and apparently that is reason to ridicule me. Every time I tried to order she would just laugh in my face. Her laughter was so loud the car in front and in back both stared at me. I have never been so embarrassed. When I asked for another person to take my order she laughed at me more. When I got to the window I asked her about it and she denied everything. I came to the front door to try and get her name. When I asked did you laugh at me she said yes in a real mean tone. I asked why and she said because I don't understand your English. She said her name was Sierra and she was the manager it is was my fault that my English was not good enough. Somehow, they forgot a couple of sandwiches and didn't give any sauce or napkins. Had to ask the staff for all of them at the window. I asked for a number to call about the problem and was given the number to the store. Somebody should probably look at the management and the staff there and clean house. This is a "fast food" establishment with nothing "fast" or efficient about it. People sacrifice quality of food for efficiency. The intent is to make frozen food quickly so people can consume it in a hurry. Expect a good 15-30 minute wait when going through the drive-thru. The staff was friendly, we checked our order in front of them (they've forgotten food before) and they let us know which sandwiches were in which bag. The soda machine is one of the ones where they offer a variety of drinks and have flavored syrups you can put in there. The restrooms were clean, although it did have a particularly bad smell. Clean tables and not any overpowering smells outside of the smell in the bathroom. Slow-ish service, about a 10 minute wait for our food when there was our order and only 1 car in the drive thru. Not too much of a complaint as our food was the correct order and hot. We'd be back. It's a Jack in the Box on a Friday, so keep that in mind. read more

We visited tonight around 10pm and ordered 2 triple jack combos. We sat in the drive through behind 2 cars for quite a long while. After the line finally moved and we got up to the order screen, we sat there for at least 5-8 minutes before we finally said "hello?" And was greeted back with "order when you're ready". The line moved extremely slowly and once we finally got to the window and paid we waited at least 5-10 minutes before our food came out. After driving all the way home and going to eat, we BOTH received the wrong burgers. We received a chicken club and what looked like a regular hamburger. Our fries weren't even warm. The hamburger was black and burnt. The only thing right about our order was the drinks. The staff were nice but the food quality was terrible. We haven't been in in years but my husband and I were craving Sourdough Jacks. They were our favorites for many reasons, all of which are lacking now. I don't know what happened to this place. The burger patty itself tasted nothing like hamburger. The big slice of tomato was missing all together, the toasted sourdough was sub par and it had a small amount of sauce and bacon. Every single thing that made it great is gone. This morning around 440-450 am I waited in the drive thru behind 2 cars for way too long. I at first assumed the first of the two cars was placing a ridiculous long order...second car spends a few minutes and drives. I come up and nobody says anything on the speaker for a good 1-2 minutes so I say "hello hello! And nothing...another minute and the same thing. The third time after I sat there for 5 minutes minimum I drive into reverse out of the drive thru. What do I see? A white lady in her 50s-60s that is a worker smoking in front talking to somebody else in a white Chevy s10/gmc Sonoma (maybe an employee in the truck?). Smoking and Parked right in front of the customer entrance by the way. They see me and I yell out "what the ___ stupid employees!" Because I'm upset at this point. I'm not somebody that likes to complain but this is ridiculous. I won't be coming back here unless I get some type of apology and assurance these POS employees will be dealt with. This restaurant has the worst customer service that I have ever encountered in my entire life. I wish that I could give it a negative 5 star rating. I had a shocking and horrible experience there and instead of being listened to and believed by management, I was told that the manager would have to review the audio and video of that night first. Then, The manager then did not give me the benefit of the doubt on anything that I had said and completely dismissed my complaint and said that if I didn't like it I could chose to not eat there again. I just ordered two of the standard jumbo Jacks with cheese sandwiches fries with no salt and onion rings. Both sandwiches were cold and dripping wet. The cheese wasn't even melted at least the lettuce was crispy. Since I ordered the fries with no salt I was expecting piping hot fries they too were cold although they didn't have salt which was the only bonus about the fries. So I walk into the lobby to put in my order and all the workers were puzzled how I walked in, apparently someone forgot to lock the lobby doors and that's how I walked in. I've always loved Jack In The Box, and I've been to this location many times. It's been a few years though since I've been by, but I've recently dined here twice, once inside and once through drive thru. Drive thru: Came by around 10pm. There were 3 cars in front of us - it took FOREVER. The line was super long when we left too. My boyfriend got one of the late night munchie meals, whatever the grilled cheese one was. It was a huge portion for $6 - the burger, a mix of curly and regular fries, 2 tacos, and a beverage. I got 2 Breakfast Jacks - my favorite and literally the only thing I will eat from here. The food was good, super greasy, but good. If it hadn't taken 20 minutes to get through the drive thru, it wouldn't have been a eh experience. They literally had 2 people working though, one cooking and one taking orders. Dine in: Really dirty restaurant. Lots of tables, a few booths. Took awhile to be greeted to get our order taken. 5 people working. Drive thru line looked long, again. We ordered our food and sat and waited. And waited... Watched 2 people come in with their receipts missing items from their drive thru orders. The girls working in the kitchen area really need to watch their language.....there were kids in the dining area and you could tell the parents weren't too happy about their kids hearing cursing. A "sh*t ton" isn't really a proper use of measurement anyways. Again the food was very greasy, but good. Curly fries sucked, they must have been like the last of the batch - all burnt, tiny little pieces, no actual curly fries. Of course now that I've rediscovered my love of Breakfast Jacks I'll be back. 11/20/2017 Jack in the box 16757 SE 272nd St Kent, Covington, WA 98042 To whom it may Concern This morning at 9:45 am I went to the Covington Jack In The Box for 2 sausage Croissants, a Breakfast Jack and hash browns. When I arrived at the drive thru a voice said hold please and I set there about 4 minutes. There were no cars ahead of me and the parking lot almost empty. The voice returned and asked for my order. I proceeded to tell the voice my order. Then the voice said I am sorry I didn't hear you. Mind you I don't speak softly in any manner. I repeated the order and again The voice broke in before I was done and said I still can't hear you. I then hung myself half out of my window and in a very loud voice I repeated my order only to get interrupted by the voice again. Saying, what croissants do you want? We have several croissants to choose from you know. I repeated my order again in very clear concise words and very slowly. The Voice then says sarcastically "Thank you for your detailed order" I then said if the voice would shut up and stop talking over me, maybe I can complete my order. At that point the voice in the box then says in an abrupt smart aleck voice "I am going to refuse service to you, will you move your vehicle out of the drive thru lane?". The order screen then promptly erased the partial list of my order the voice had listed, and then turned the intercom either off, or just ignored me and when I left, there was no one visible in the front of the store. I find this employees behavior UN-acceptable to any degree. Why do I as a paying customer, have to suffer from rude unprofessional employees like this? I am going to refrain from eating or drinking at this Jack in the Box store from now on till I feel sufficient gains have been made in employee attitude and courtesy. read more

Routinely I'm reminded of the 90's when the E Coli outbreak nearly bankrupted the Jack in the Box in Covington. It has remained in this position for years. As Covington grew, the line kept getting shorter here. Yesterday I came through, simply tempted by the semi-delicious reminder of Jack in the Box from Hawaii. Once I ordered, I regretted it. $27.00 Plus tax for fast food! What. The. Hell. The bread wasn't even toasted, the burger meat was cold, the tacos were so sloppy it was just sauce and I could barely eat them! I am disgusted! Everything here in Covington seems to be struggling. Came to this establishment around 10 pm and there were two cars in front of me. When I pulled up to the window I wasn't greeted by the staff at all until I said "Hello?" I was then greeted by a "Order when you're ready". No hi or welcome to Jack in the box which being in the food industry, customer service is paramount. I ordered two Trible Jack surprises and when I got to the window I had to wait a good 5-8 minutes for my food. It wasn't until I got home that I found out both orders were wrong. Not just wrong but one was in a different category all together. What I received was a regular hamburger with no cheese and just unions and a Southwest Chicken ranch burger. Disappointed with jack in the box as a whole, but this place sums up why jack in the box has such a poor reputation when it comes to service. I definitely stood in line for a solid 10minutes before the lady finally told me that she would help me in a sec. I was literally a few seconds away from walking out before she got to the register. Ordered my food and probably waited even longer. I had intended to dine in but when I got my food it was bagged as if I were going to take It to go. They never asked me. There literally was not one table that did not have crumbs and food all over it...I found the cleanest one and brushed it off myself. If it weren't for the food from being so good I wouldn't ever go to a jack in the box and I'm sure they would not even be in business either because the restaurant has nothing good going for them besides the food. Deserves less than a star. Basically my pet peeve is not being heard or valued as a customer. Let me start off by saying that I've worked behind a Jack In The Box counter over a summer. Basically what happened is I ordered the croissant breakfast sandwich. The lady behind the counter really didn't care, I say this because what she did was instead of giving me what I asked for which was a croissant breakfast sandwich I got the biscuit breakfast sandwich. Don't like their biscuits. I already knew that the croissant sandwich was no longer the 2 for 4 dollars if I had been asked if I knew I would have said that I already knew. When I asked for the croissant sandwich the lady acted put out. Well this incident & something else I saw outside the restaurant was a deal breaker from me ever coming back.
