Firebox and vampirino and quesotaco on the side
Wennie H.

The flavors are there and the service is friendly. I gave 3 stars because I felt that even though the food was good, it was all one note...the same. I got the firebox but it was the same thing just in a slightly different form each time (with cheese, without cheese, crispy, soft, etc.).

Easy to find location - note: street parking only Great service - super helpful staff! The day I went there was only beef and vegetarian options. I want to go back and try the lamb and goat. We got the tacos and ramen (husband starting eating the noodles before I could take a photo.) The aguafresca flavor of the day was "sunset" which is half mango half watermelon. So refreshing, so yum! I didnt know a little umbrella in my drink was the pick me up I needed this week. Highly recommended!

I came to Fire Tacos for a Yelp Elite experience and decided to get a couple more tacos while I was there. The service was friendly and helpful, I went with her suggestion and got 2 Quesataco's. They only had beef and veggie options, she told me the pandemic has made it hard to get fresh goat and lamb meat and they don't use frozen meat. I loved my veggie taco, the addition of radish was great. I love the tortilla that the tacos are served on, the best I have had. Can't wait to go back and try their other options.

My oh my! Definitely try the keto taco. Hearty, meaty, cheesy and oddly filling for its size. The onions, cilantro and hot sauce tie it all together, making each bite better than the last. The shell is made out of fried cheese in a corn tortilla shape and comes bigger than you anticipated. I also tried the taco birria and quesito but my favorite was that keto taco. My only regret is that I didn't buy my husband a couple. But honestly they probably wouldn't have made it home. This taco truck usually opens around noon and close up about 5pm. They close when they sell out. I made the mistake of coming down to try them out at 6:15pm and they were already gone. Visit them for lunch and bring an appetite. These tacos aren't like others you've tried.

I came to Fire Tacos de Birria for a Yelp Elite experience. I arrived at 11 am to find they open at noon. Came back just after 12 PM and found they had special hours that day, opening at 1pm. I ran some errands and then ended up coming back around 5pm for dinner. My persistence paid off! I got the Yelp Elite complimentary taco with the consommé and also added a Quesataco and an Agua Fresca. For the tacos they offer a choice of red or green sauce with the red being spicier. I chose the red sauce and it was just the right amount of heat. Not too hot. The tacos are meant to be dipped in the consommé and are really good and messy that way. The shells are so colorful and especially the Quesataco, which had a somewhat crunchy shell. For the Agua Fresca, I chose the recommended Sunrise flavor (mango & watermelon) and it was super yummy! The cup had the rim ringed with the tamarind sweet/salty gel and it even came with a flower in the drink. Refreshing! When I am back in this area, I will definitely stop by Fire Tacos for great Mexican food. Maybe one day they'll open a storefront location? Thanks Fire Tacos!

Great flavors from this tiny little food trailer.

For a tiny trailer that's about the size of a large closet, Fire Tacos is serving up some SERIOUSLY epic eats in Kent! I stopped in on a recent afternoon when I was nearby and in need of some lunch. Also, birria tacos have been on my 2021 "must do" list as I've seen my fellow Yelpers posting tempting-looking pics of them dipping their tacos into a magical sauce. As a French Dip aficionado I knew I needed to try this south-of-the-border variation. After I (sheepishly) confessed I'd never tried birria tacos before, I was SO thankful that the kind lady at the truck walked me through the menu and made some suggestions. It all sounded SO good, so I settled on a plate o' quesatacos with a side of beef consomme. The wait was short (they give you a beeper in case it's raining and you need to wait in your car), and soon I was shuffling off with food in hand. OMG it was EPIC. Everything you love about a taco, now with added DIPPING! Really, with the exception about it being a little messy, there was nothing NOT to like about this experience. I will definitely be adding birria tacos to my foodie repertoire.

Birria beef nachos

Our interaction was so quick and efficient! The staff is great, very friendly and accomodating to my friend that didn't want cilantro on his nachos. We got two orders of the birria nachos and boy do they give you a hefty portion. LOADED with birria beef meat, cilantro, red onion, cheddar cheese sauce all over every chip, pickled jalapenos, and fresh radish you can't go wrong. I am excited to try their other offerings. I will be back. I would highly suggest coming early during the week so you don't have to wait or call them, they take pre-orders over the phone. The other choices of meat were goat or lamb as well for those of you who aren't fans of beef is my one pro tip for you. Now go get some!

Taco in consommé

If nothing else, heed these words of advice: COME EARLY! Here's why. For me, it's a journey to get to Kent from Bellevue especially as a non-driver. I have been to fire tacos only twice because it. The first time through buses (I don't recommend if you have plans later on) and the other through a friend driving with me. Both times, I didn't get the goat . To be fair, it was on the weekend both times and it was only because they sold out. My first time, their consommé sold out Regardless of that, I always enjoyed my options. Having lamb in the tacos are amazing and they do offer beef options. Though you can get beef in other places. They have Birria nachos and ramen as well. In addition to the food they have great drinks too! Definitely can rely on getting horchata here (sometimes with coffee). They have different special drinks throughout the week so there are more surprises with your order. My advice: Follow their Instagram and Facebook so you can get day to day updates on their operations and what has sold out. Plus you get to know what special items they may have. Besides, you don't want to get all the way there to find out they don't have what you want anymore. If possible, preorder. Also, there was no direct seating from their truck location so take it home or eat it in your car. Either way, you will have a good time!

Watermelon drink! With gummies

Randomly found them on Yelp when trying to find a quick bite. They are right next to the train tracks behind the Kent Station movie theater/parking garage. If you blink you'll miss them! Pros: Short menu so quick ordering Very nice staff Food came out quickly Ordered 3 beef Barria tacos with cilantro + red onions in them (no cheese) Watermelon drink: fresh pieces of watermelon on top with Gummies Cons: No sides like rice or beans or desserts Really pricey (for my 3 tacos and a drink $19) The meat in the taco was some of the juiciest meat I've had at a taco truck, but the price is way too much to come often. But I would come back later down the line if in the mood for tacos.

Strawberry Mango Agua Fresca with cucumber & Tajin topping

This is some next level shit! I love Mexican food. I can eat it every single day. I stumbled upon this place during a simple google search for "tacos near me". I saw that there was a food truck in kent and a brick and mortar in West Seattle. I went to the food truck today and at first, I almost talked myself out of trying this place bc the location of the food truck. The location is difficult to get to. There's street parking but it's completely full which I am assuming is due to the shopping center being located near by. The food truck is also near railroad tracks and a fenced-off site. But I really wanted tacos so I decided to still go and I am so glad that I did. I got the Beef Birria Ramen and a strawberry mango Agua Fresca with topping. The Beef Birria Ramen is LIFE CHANGING !! Omg it was sooooooo good. Beyond belief type good. It is a little pricey at $12.99 + tax but totally worth it. I didn't even get the tacos because the ramen just spoke to me lol. I will be dreaming of that damn soup. The agua Fresca was good but was a little bit too sweet for my liking. They asked me if I wanted fruit topping and I said yea so I thought I was going to get strawberries or mango's since that's the flavor I ordered but I received cucumbers covered in Tajin. I wasn't mad at it though. I absolutely love cucumbers so it was like a crunchy little healthy snack to go with my meal. I will have to make it a goal of mine to visit the Alki restaurant. I saw on their social media that the Alki location has a lot more options. 10/10 I recommend

Food was okay, got the firebox and the tacos were kind of dry. The consome wasn't super flavorful, I'm used to seeing a more red, more chile flavor and full of spices. It really just tasted like broth, so maybe it's a personal preference. Went on a Sunday at 4 pm and unfortunately they just ran out of pork which was a little disappointing. The food took about 10-15 min and that was with 2 or 3 orders ahead, so not too bad. I appreciate the time and care they take to plastic wrap the consome for the ride home. The staff was nice, not too much interaction to be honest. The location is right by the train tracks and boy can that train be loud. Not super pleasant but also doesn't really last a long time so it's really just something to note, not hold it against them. To note, they prefer CASH. There is a 3% surcharge for card users and a 3% discount for cash.

Melon Agua Fresca

Pros: - Fast and friendly customer service - Food is decent - Lots of free parking nearby - May or may not return; would not go out of my way to eat here Cons: - Not the best location--located by Kent Station near the train tracks - Didn't like the nachos--way too much meat, not enough chips, and the cheese tasted just like melted store bought cheese - Didn't care for the melon agua fresca all that much either--it was decent but not as tasty and refreshing as I hoped - My friend ordered goat/lamb tacos and thought it lacked flavor; she was also charged an additional $0.50 for a "goat/lamb upgrade" which she was not made aware of - We were both unknowingly charged bag fees - There is an additional charge if you do not pay with cash - The first time I went they were closed even though the website said they were open; the staff said they stay open until they sell out, so that's something to be mindful of

The first time I've been jump by some hood rat for my flip phone and the last few dollars I had in my purse was at this Kent station transit center, I could have sworn to never come here again. I lied, these tacos made me came here. This is probably one of the few places that serve birria tacos with consomme(beef soup) that you dip your tacos into. It gets kind of messy with the dipping part so I like to have it on the side and slurp onto it after every few bites of the taco which is very generous on the meat by the way. They have drinks here that are very photo worthy with the fruits hanging out, but I recommend demolishing it right then and there if you order it since it will be a bit hard to pack in the car. I got my roommate the ramen, didn't got to document it before he destroyed it, but he said it was good. Service was very friendly. I was satisfied with my meal, went to a food coma afterwards and nap. Thought about getting a cat, but I realized that I already am a cat. Tell me about your experience if you've been here or is going to after reading this review:)

I thought this place had shut down but when I sent my husband to buy tamales, he came here. He said…read morethe place was up and running with customers. He only came here because he thought that if the tamal cost $6 then they had to be good. They were not. When I asked him where he got them and he said here, I looked it up on Yelp, who was saying they were permanently shut down. Little to no flavor. Traditional Guatemalan tamales have a slice of red bell pepper, and an olive in it, giving it more flavor but this one just had the meat and let me add that the amount of bones that were in the tamale was just absolutely unacceptable. Everyone knows that you don't put bones in tamales. The amount of times I bit into a bone or had to spit them out, made the eating process so unpleasant. I had told my husband to not come here anymore since it's so overpriced but I guess he forgot. It was just another reminder why I don't come here anymore

When we walked in we weren't exactly sure of the process, but it was clear we were supposed to…read moreorder at the counter first. The restaurant is big, spacious and super clean. We ordered the churrasco chapin (grilled steak with rice, black beans, sausage and house salad) and dobladas (tortillas with beef, cabbage and onion and homemade tomato sauce). The dobladas were yummy and hefty but not too heavy. The churrasco wasn't bad, lots of food. Food comes out relatively fast and is a little more on the pricey side.
