I tried to resolve this through corporate, but unfortunately, they have been unresponsive. Bad experience 1/21/2025 Store #421 2.51pm El Camino @ 408.515.5966 I used to frequent this location on average about once per two weeks for years. Typically, service staff are quite friendly, courteous and professional. Today, unfortunately I had a coupon that I didn't know had expired due to micro font size. I tried to negotiate with a staff member, whom passed me onto their manager. This manager was very short with me and didn't want to discuss anything other than not accepting a coupon that expired last month, and aggressively demanded I move along for waiting guests when there was no other customers in the drive thru or in store. I asked if I should park and come into the store and was told to just leave. I asked if I should park in their empty lot to look through my other coupons and was again rudely told to just leave. At this point I asked for her and her manager's name and was told "no" whereas she then slammed the window closed on me. I then proceeded past the drive thru and locating an an unexpired coupon in my center console and re-entered the drive thru. When I stopped at the speaker/mic to give my order I was told to just pull up to the window. When I did the other friendly and courteous staff member greeted me, took my new coupon and rang me up without incident and even offered an apology which I mentioned was not her fault. Unfortunately, the sup/manager decided they wanted to hand me my meal. I asked if she was feeling better and she again went into attack mode not answering any of my questions and demanding I leave. I decided it would be wise to thoroughly inspect my meal before pulling away and informed her of this. Next thing we know she has her personal cell phone recording me asking what I'm doing. I repeated that I was examining my meal and asked her what her problem was and having to remind her that the customer is always right. This Sup/Manager resumed demanding that I move once again with no customers waiting. She asked me if I thought the situation was funny, and I responded yes. Hey all, I rarely leave reviews, but if you're in the area and are unfortunate enough to enjoy Jack's tacos, this place does them right! I'm here usually in the morning and once a week, I grab an order before I head off to work. Great crunch, and the right amount of lettuce + whatever kind of "meat" that is. I've tried many Jack's and their tacos are usually ass because children make them. And we all know their generation is cooked. I usually get the meat lover's burrito and they do these right as well. Forgot to write this review from a year ago. First time back at Jack in the Box in a while. Back in college, when the metabolism was much much higher, for a mid-nite snack, my buddy and I would both order Grilled Sourdough Burgers, as it was called back then, now known as the Sourdough Jack, and two tacos. My son loves cheeseburgers just as much as I do. The drive thru here is quick...we usually order a plain cheeseburger and curly fries. The food here is made fresh and served hot. Terrible service, i asked for double cheese tacos and medium fries. When I got to the window I asked for hot sAuce and two buttermilk, I've never been charged for them and she said it would be $.27. I come to find out my tacos did not have double cheese. Went back to tell her that my tacos did not have cheese she had me open my tacos to show her. She grabbed my bag of food and threw it in the trash. I told her she threw away my fries and she said there was nothing in there. She then had to take the bag out of the trash and had me show her tiny taking everything out and she said that there wasn't enough fries in the bag to give me a medium but she could give me a small. So yes Jack In The Box. It was the preferred fast food of my youth. At least my parents were far more willing to stop here than the local McD's. Perhaps it was the larger menu, , perhaps it was because it was much closer to the house, more likely however, it was as it will always be for me at least about the Tacos. (This ode to the greatness of JITB Tacos is shamelessly lifted from my other review) "a legion of fans who swear by the greasy vessels even as they sometimes struggle to understand their appeal" Wall Street Journal article talking about the JITB Tacos Alright its time for a true confession. We all have that one shameful thing we love to eat that we don't talk about very much. In my case its the tacos at JITB. We were a JITB family growing up. I think it was in part because the McDonalds was a town over IMHO and my parents did not want to drive that far for equally mediocre food. . But it was our go to fast food place. We ate frings, we survived the Pita Pocket, heck we looked the other way when they were owned by a dog food company (Purina), we endured the loss and triumphant return of Jack, and despite the changes, despite them actually killing people with an ecoli outbreak, we stayed loyal to the tacos. I have no idea what exactly binds them to me as if it was the ring and I was Gollum. Is it the half slice of American cheese that ratchets up the authenticity factor? Is that meat and bean mixture that is mostly bean and something that if you are lucky, ground up circus animal? Is the overly processed corn tortilla that is fried from whatever huge factory its assembled in and then fried again at the location? Is the lettuce that was shredded sometime in the last moon phase? Is the taco sauce that we used to use to remove the tarnish from pennies? Is it the fact that you can get two of the suckers for 99 cents? Or that it has a bigger version aka The Monster Taco which has two YES TWO half slices of American cheese? lastly is it that after the taco you can tear the wrapper open and eat the fallen lettuce and sauce mixture like some kind of bizarre salad? Bows head in shame.......... YES all of that!!! I love them and I am powerless over them. I know right now many of you are judging, but I'm in good company here with notables like Tom Hanks, Chelsea Handler, Selena Gomez, and Chrissy Teigen. Take that haters!!! This location can be super crowded or deserted. Its really the luck of the draw. The staff is always friendly, and the drive through line moves at a decent pace. Late night snack can't go wrong. Ordered the combo, spicy chicken sandwich with regular and curly fries, 2 tacos and a HUGE drink all for under $7. More than enough for 2 people. Chicken sandwich was crunchy. Exceed expectations, for 7 dollars. Down side. It was not very fast food. The drive thru took a very long time tho. Disappointed! Haven't had an Ultimate Cheeseburger in forever! Wanted something quick and really had my taste buds set on this burger. Came thru the drive thru. Got my sandwich, opened the box and literally the whole sandwich was so hot to the touch, that I couldn't even hold it, let alone take a bite. Part of the bun was crunchy. I'm not one to review fast food joints often as it's likely a 5 minute visit. However been by here for many years when I'm in the neighborhood. But based on drive thru experiences, they have always been friendly at window. Sometimes though, when ordering through the impersonal voice box, the order taker sounds short and curt (but then again, we all know they are multi tasking behind the scenes. But today is a review on the new item, "herb garlic fries" insaw it on the sign on side of building as you make your way to the drive thru lane. I said I just gotta try.... I have to be honest..I LOVE it. I did have the McDonald's "GILROY garlic fries" about a week ago. Theirs was oily like, fries were soggy too, good garlic aroma, but overall it was soggy oily fries (not my thing) . However Jacks version was crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, light golden brown , it had a buttery like aroma, but not saturated, with a nice beautiful aroma of (almost roasted like) garlic and a few specks of herbs. It remained crunchy like throughout the "mini-munch" session. I know, I know...to much reading over the current craze...garlic fries!!! Jack in the Box has basically secured a noble name in America, and this is jack in the Box is no different from basically any other one. However, compared to other fast food restaurants Jack in the box indefinitely stands out. The bang you get for you buck here is often overlooked because of fast foods industries bad quality, but at jack in the box it's surprising good. For less than 2$ I can get the equivalent of a 5$ chicken sandwich at Carl's Jr., and the wait is less. The sandwiches were about the same size, and tasted basically the same, and this applies to almost everything on the menu. Whether it's 1.19$ for 2 (pretty big) tacos or 5$ for a (also pretty big) meal complete with drinks and fries, Jack in the Box really brings the BANG to your buck. read more

She grudgingly took my money and did not acknowledge me when I said thank you. She looked/acted like she was angry that I was even there. I did not like giving her my money. I ordered a bacon/egg biscuit. It was awful. I could barely choke it down. Besides the lack of any taste what so ever it was slopped together on the biscuit. This is the Jack in the Box I usually stop at on the way to work for breakfast. Bring back the hash brown sticks!!! I don't like the one big piece like McDonald's does. My breakfast rotation usually consists of the breakfast croissant, steak and egg burrito, and the grilled breakfast sandwich. Jack in the Box coffee is also the best coffee out of all the fast food chains that I've tried. I am not a great big fan of Jack in the Box I only like it when its late at night coming back from a party or something and it's a quick fast food to grab. I ordered a jumbo Jack with french fries and a soda and I asked the lady at the window to give me an extra ranch and she seems as if she was getting frustrated. when I finally opened my hamburger to eat it was as if the the sauce in the tomatoes and onions or just slapped right on there it was very messy and my french fries seemed as if they were soaked in oil. but I guess that's kind of the type of food you would get going to a quick fast food joint. read more

This is the best JITB on El Camino from Palo Alto to Sunnyvale. No shit. The older workers seems to be more contentious about order accuracy and they always give you enough napkins, especially if you order something messy like the mystery meat tacos or the bigger multipatty burgers. I really like the fact that I can order "real food" (as in not breakfast food) in the morning. I had a temporary relocation to Ann Arbor, MI and there are no JITBs there! Is there no justice in this world? (Cue looking at sky shaking clenched fist) I usually go for 2 to 4 tacos, a value chicken sandwich or two, and hot coffee for "The Breakfast of Champions!" Large ice tea for other meals... Get your lazy asses out of that pile of rolling junk and get your food. Omg I love Jack in the Box!! The tacos and the breakfast sandwich's are amazing and delicious. Forget McDonald's and Wendy's if you like fast food go to jack in the box. It's cheap and delicious. The curly fries are to die for and the staff is nice. Definitely recommend jack in the box! read more

This is a particularly good Jack in the Box. Jacks Spicy chicken is crispy and fresh, the tomatoes and lettuce were fresh.

Generous and helpful staff. Clean bathroom and tables. Speedy service and good cheap food. I've stopped here a few times now when visiting the area and each time has been a good experience. One of the better fast food establishments I've been to. read more

okay so i went and got some food in the morning before work and as i approached the drive through the person that was speaking was being kinda rude but i didn't let that bother me at all.. after ordering my food i pull up to the window and this person was still being a little rude. he didn't tell me how much my order was at the speaker or at the window. so he just took my card and swiped away. at the time he asked if i wanted any ketchup or sauce and i asked for three ranches and he wanted to charge me after asking me. and then when i said you're really going to charge me for three ranch he gave me a dirty look and an attitude. this place needs new management and better respectful employees. read more
