We've typically only done drive-thru at this location. The other day, after a doctor's appointment nearby I didn't want a regular sandwich, or a burger, or a salad. What I was craving was a breakfast burrito. Since I can't handle dairy cheese, and they make the burritos to order, I suggested JITB to Dear Hubby as our meal stop. Their Meat Lovers Breakfast Burrito is a decent choice if you can't have dairy. So many other things, especially burgers, just aren't the same without cheese. Sure, that burrito would have been extra lovely with some cheddar cheese mixed in, but you go with what you can handle in the dietary realm. I'm still looking for a vegan cheese that can fool my taste buds into giving feedback that I'm not missing out. To my surprise, the interior of this location was nicer than expected. All of the tables were spotlessly clean. The floor also had a clean sheen. The woman who took our order was welcoming and helpful. She let us know that their Coke-Your-Way machine was out of order at the moment, and she'd get us whatever we needed, even refills when we were ready. I'm so shocked at how rude the lady at the drive through was. This is the WORST customer service I've ever experienced in my life. Clean surrounding and adequate lighting. I'm not sure about the staffing that I read about in the reviews because this hasn't been my experience at this restaurant. Very friendly staff, even when they are working Christmas night. The food was good and accurate. We were asked if we needed any condiments and they included plenty of napkins in the bag. Order # 873. First Norma was taking orders outside in the wind, was so nice and sweet felt bad she had to stand in the wind . Then at the window the gentleman, i didn't catch his name gave me the wrong order . I glanced in my bag as i was leaving checking for my sauces but i did t look at the food. While i was driving in circles around the gas station attempting to get out, the super nice window clerk came running out with my correct order ! The dude with a beard and green hair was at the counter, stood there with a certain stare, took our order and spoke in a very condescending manner as if rushing us to order, that he has better things to do... not the friendliest guy in town for sure. At best they can get your order partially correct. Then to correct their mistake I have to drive thru twice, just to accomplish what I order. Better yet when you actually go inside they basically ignore you, I waited at the counter for almost three minutes, long enough to pull out my phone and start the timer, cashier was embarrassed when she saw the timer running. Soda fountain has been consistently dirty, I have actually had to ask for it to be cleaned before I used it. I think it is best to avoid this particular location, food is up to standard but never comes to you as ordered. Skip this Jack and chalk it up to staffing. read more

Update: Went by one more time, should have learned my lesson the last time. The sourdough breakfast sandwich wasn't awful. So I go by to get it, I get home and my sandwich is entirely different and not what I ordered at all, and nothing I would even eat. What a waste of time and money. Really disappointed in this place lately. I'm a breakfast at night kinda person and this is the only place that does it. I got the breakfast sandwich and suddenly it's taken off, yet it's still on their menu online? Fine. So I stopped coming here for a bit and tried something else, a breakfast biscuit thing. They also were out of the syrup for a drink I wanted. At that point I said "forget it." The lady is rude, too busy talking on the intercom when I was trying to place my order. At the window music is blasting and the staff are giggling while I'm trying to ask here why the items are listed online and no longer available here. I get it, it's not her fault. I think this Jack in the Box has been here almost three years without a review! It used to be a Burger King. I've only been through the drive-thru at this location and it has always been pretty good. Tonight I wanted to try the Bonus Jack and it was okay. It's a Big Mac without the sesame seeds. This location plus Del Taco in town are both open late in Moorpark. This place is always nice and clean when I visit. Our family likes their sourdough chicken breast sandwich. Yesterday I tried grilled breakfast sandwich which has fried eggs, bacon and ham.
