Deceptive pricing, they will charge you more than the menu price.
    Robert P.

The food was good the ambiance is what you would expect, but the pricing is deceptive. We ordered a Super Burrito with carna asada, the menu on the wall says the price is 12.99 but was charged 14.41. When I called back to question the price discrepancy I was told it's a dollar more for carna asada and because I used a credit card there is an additional charge. I ordered three burritos so you're telling me a credit card surcharge is on each burrito. This information is not displayed on the menu nor do they let the customer know. I won't be going back until they can be honest to the customers.

    Super Burrito and Ceviche Tostada

This place is a staple of our trips back to California. The food is incredible, not matter what you choose. I always grab a burrito with a ceviche and it never disappoints. The burritos are packed with flavor and they nail ratios of ingredients so that each bite is pure perfection. The ceviche is well balanced and not overpowering with the citrus. The staff always greet you with smiles and the service is very quick. The unassuming decor and easygoing ambiance make this a chill place to hang with friends and catch-up or zone out and relax after a long day. They offer beer, but no hard alcohol. Parking was easy and getting to finding the restaurant is no problem.

Kitchen seems to be dirty just look at their last city inspection report on their yelp account, and do we know what quality of meats they are using?

Asada Wet burrito with green sauce

Wow, this is now my favorite Taco and burrito place. The prices are pretty good too. I tried the Al Pastor,Carne Asada, pollo(Chicken), Chile verde and Carnitas Tacos and all of them were really good. Full of flavor and the salsa's they put on each one was spot on delicious. I think my favorite was the Al Pastor taco. I do wish the tacos were a little bit bigger when it comes to the corn tortillas. But still good. I also got a Carne asada Wet burrito with green sauce and it was super good. Highly recommend this place.

It was somewhat of a Mexican-style interior. Nothing flashy. So when I was told what type of food they had they had Carnitas. And that's all they had. I was asking if I could have it with eggs or in a burrito and they said all they were offering that day were tacos. Don't get me wrong. The meat was very good very soft tender, but that's all it was. They said they couldn't make burritos and they couldn't put eggs or anything else with the meat until the following day. Which made no sense. However, the meat was very good and they put plenty of meat in the taco which was the equivalent of 2 1/2, it was a lot of meat. This is my opinion, and you will have to go there to form your own opinion. But I probably won't go back in the future.

I ordered the enchiladas de mole negro. I'm Peruvian, and the flavor wasn't quite my personal preference, but I took the leftovers home and my husband who is Mexican and a big fan of mole absolutely loved it. So if you enjoy traditional mole, you'll probably appreciate it. My friend ordered the mole negro with rice and completely devoured her plate. She said she really enjoyed the flavor. I also ordered the Oaxacan horchata, and that was a highlight for me. I loved it so much very refreshing and delicious. The customer service was alright, a bit slow, but understandable since there was only one girl working the register and serving tables at the same time. The restaurant itself is cozy, and the bathroom was clean, which I always appreciate. Overall, it was a nice experience trying a traditional Oaxacan spot.

I go out frequently and I cook at home a lot so I think I have pretty good perspective. We consume a fair amount of "authentic" Mexican food, and we travel to Mexico frequently. Recently we went to La Katrina and Manny's. Each has their own style but I wouldn't say one is hands down better in terms of food quality. But where this place sucks is atmosphere. Yelpers are being kind when they say it's a "hole in the wall". People, it's a dive. It's hot and stuffy. It can accommodate maybe 20 guests. 90% of the male patrons wear baseball caps. Parents entertain children by blowing up balloons then releasing them to make buzzy noises. Hahaha funny, NOT. People play their phones on open speakers, all while a soccer game is going on a tv high on the wall. There's one restroom, albeit immaculately clean, but still just one so you better be quick. This is not a quick serve restaurant. Wait service, such as it is, is slow and unobservant. I.e. we had to ask for chips, and when they arrived, no napkins, so we had to wait for the rest of our order to be able to wipe our hands. Our burning question from the menu was WTH are "glass" drinks? We asked and the waiter gestured towards the refrigerator with bottled drinks. Ok? So how are they different from "bottled" drinks on the menu? I'll post a photo so you can maybe decipher its meaning. We never got a straight answer. But what was crystal clear is, they don't offer fountain drinks. And no iced tea. If there was water, we weren't offered any. We arrived 10 minutes before a table next to us, with three guys. Within just a few minutes they were enjoying their lunches while we sat there. Finally when ours arrived, yeah it was fine, but nothing to do two huzzahs and a backflip over. And definitely not something I'd go out of my way for. I ordered the "regular" (as opposed to Oaxacan) enchilada plate with green sauce. I have a pretty good tolerance for "hot spicy", but this one made me sweat. Luckily, with their apposite of drink offerings, I had horchata, which helped to put out the fire. My husband ordered the chile relleno plate. He enjoyed it and said the sauce atop it was uniquely good. Their rice and beans were pretty good; needed a little salt on the beans. Maybe we'd return for takeout, but if you're considering this establishment for date night... don't.

And they have some great servers there. Tonight we were treated so appallingly that we may never come back. It was busy for taco Tuesday when we put our name in, and two female severs were directing traffic... the owners daughter basically yelled at us, if you're waiting for a table go outside so servers can get through with food... ok ya, totally understandable but don't yell at your customers. Her tone was annoyed. Then we were skipped for our seat and when I asked the other female server was super rude saying that wasn't the case (but we watched it happen). But it was really the way she spoke to us, more than the situation. Just really disappointed in how they treat their customers, we own a small biz and wouldn't dream of speaking to people like this. Later when one of the guy survers we know well noticed what was happening he came over and immediately apologized and offered to take care of us himself - but we were so turned off I didn't want to stay... he said we should tell the owner who was working the taco stand... So I did tha and she was apologetic but as we walked away her daughter said "I'm the owner too and I don't care". Alright. Good to know, we won't be supporting your biz any longer. 10+ years... we come twice a month.... But we can definitely take our biz to other Mexican restaurants in town (Luna Llena and Lalos) who appreciate us every time we visit, have amazing food and something called respect... Bye bye!!!

Service was slow, and our waiter made repeated mistakes. My husband asked for a taste of a particular draft beer, and was presented with a full schooner instead. He likes to squeeze in lemon and had to ask multiple times for that side request. Then our young granddaughter ordered the kids' burrito, but the brought the adult version and charged for it. I didn't pay the bill so I didn't realize it right away. Not until it was too late, actually. Dear Hubby and I ordered the shrimp fajitas to share, which had an underwhelming number of shrimp. Whole lot of grilled onions, though. The taste was just so-so. The best item I had was the virgin mango margarita. Otherwise, it was an overpriced meal in chilly surroundings. Kudos to the restaurant for having colorful, festive Valentine's decor. That was a plus.
