Barely half full! What a waste of money!
    Charlene G.

BEWARE! This location is super shady on their portions! Peep my picture, but on this first visit I tried the loaded fries and when I got home the container was barely half full! Not worth it; what a waste of money! Other than that ....you can count on Jack to fulfill that craving after a night of drinking. Being that it's open 24/7, that craving can be met at anytime of the day. Also, they serve breakfast all day?! Yup, I said all day! The drive thru is a little slow during after hours so be prepared to wait. Go to items are: *two tacos, extra lettuce $1.29 If you're really wanting to spice things up, add sour cream, taco sauce and bbq sauce to make the perfect concoction to glaze your crunchy taco! Enjoy!

I came this evening to this location and ask for some tacos WITHOUT SAUCE I asked the guy 4 times no sauce and extra lettuce and guess what?? Yes that guy on the fryer put sauce on them, no lettuce well just barely put some SMH, there's two times I ordered at this location and always mess with my food, there's no control over this employees that are earning 20$/h and still doing mistakes Cmon

My deliver by times on doordash and the current time that I finally have my food
    Josh H.

Did you think that because the dining room is open during the say that you could actually get served in there? Well think again! Watched as myself and 2 other customers waited 20+ minutes only to never even be acknowledged by the employees. Finally had to leave and go through the drive thru to get any service. If you want to spend less than an hour getting "fast" food

They left the cheese off of the tacos that I ordered. This is a staple to their tacos.

It's a nice restaurant, with seating on the inside and the outside. That's good, because they can. get busy. The employees are very friendly It's a very large menu, ranging from things such as your standard tacos, tortas, and burritos, to things such as seafood cocktails, molcajete, which is a Mexican stew, to posole. They have Menudo on the weekend, and also on the weekend, they have a person right in the dining room, making fresh, hot , tortillas on the spot. There is a small chips and salsa bar. The chips are very good, as are the salsas. My favorite has always been the avocado salsa, creamy with just a little bit of a kick to it. Today, I decided to go simple. I had a shredded chicken, super nachos, and a cheese quesadilla. The quesadilla didn't look like much, but it was very big. There was a lot of delicious Monterey Jack cheese in it. They were very generous with the cheese. The nachos didn't look very big, but they were. The chicken was tender. And delicious, and I loved the guacamole and the sour cream. The salsa had a nice little kick to it And as I mentioned before, the chips were fantastic, not greasy at all. For all I got, the price was very reasonable. I will continue to come back. Thank you.

They have odd hours closing at 7pm but worth it to stop by! Since we came in so close to closing, they were out of beans and al pastor but they even offered to make a new batch of beans for us!! Extremely nice of them to offer. We declined seeming it was our fault for the timing. I got their taco salad with steak and my husband got their California burrito with carne asada. I loved my taco salad and the crispy shell was soooo good. We also got their side of chips and guac. They give you a choice between corn and flour tortilla chips! We got a mix of both and they definitely make them in house and fresh to order. They were amazing. The flour was our favorite actually! Guac was great as well. The building is pretty unassuming from the outside since it's in a business park and the inside has a good amount of seating but it is a walk up and order type of restaurant. They do bring the food out to your table, but we were also the only ones there. Majority of the people coming were grabbing it to go. Lastly they have a salsa bar with a good variety of salsa's which I always love! I'll definitely be coming back and trying more of their options.

Complimentary corn tortilla chips, salsa, and refried bean dip with cheese. I loved the REFRIED BEAN DIP! I ordered the Steak a la Chicana. I didn't read or listen carefully enough that the skirt steak with sauteed onions and bell peppers are covered in Spanish sauce. The sauce is actually quite tasty with a little kick. I used it and the salsa to flavor the black beans. However, I really just wanted grilled steak. I should have ordered steak fajitas, a grilled steak burrito or quesadilla, or a carne asada plate. The Steak a la Chicana was a generous portion, which is definitely 2 meals for me. Cilantro rice wasn't anything special. The SWEET CORN TAMALITO is yummy comfort. Choice of beans: refried beans, black beans, or pinto beans. I suspect refried beans is the tastiest option. El Tapatio would be a great gathering place for friends and family. I was headed to Burger King but changed my mind when I eyed Taco Express across the parking lot. Well I spotted a large inflatable shaped as the Taco Express character waving his arm. As to wave us over. He was so darn cute. It definitely caught my attention and peaked my interest. Next thing I know I was in the drive thru looking at the menu. It was Tuesday, the special of the day was $1.50 crispy tacos. The meat choices were chicken, ground beef, and beef. I ordered four of those, a side of rice, and chips n salsa. The total with tax was $12 something. The green salsa had a spicy kickyness but without the heat. The red salsa had a lingering, bold hot spiciness. I tried it and it burned. The tacos weren't bad at all. The meats weren't greasy. The taco shells were fresh fried, without the greasiness. Also for the price I was envisioning small or mini sized tacos, but pleasantly surprised that they were regular sized. No skinny minis. Plus they didn't skimp on filling the taco with the proteins. They were topped with shredded cheese and lettuce. The person taking my drive thru order was great. Patient, helpful, knowledgeable, and kind. Now here's what made it even better--this used to be a Taco Bell back in the day, so let me just say... the taco energy in this building is deeply rooted. The tortilla spirits were already working overtime before I even walked in. I stepped inside, got greeted right away, and placed my order for carne asada tacos and a drink. Simple. Efficient. Exactly what the pre-movie mission required. But here's where things got impressive... I swear the second I paid, my food was basically already waiting for me like it had somehow known I was coming. And unless I missed someone hiding in the back doing ninja-level prep work, I'm pretty sure the young lady up front was running the whole operation. She was taking my order, working the drive-thru headset, handling everything, and still keeping it smooth like it was just another regular day. That kind of hustle deserves respect. Now let's talk tacos. These carne asada tacos came out hot, flavorful, and straight-up comforting. The kind of flavor that doesn't taste like "fast food trying to be tacos"--nah, these tasted like somebody's grandma would absolutely approve. And if the food gives "abuela would nod in silence and keep cooking," that's a compliment of the highest order. Every bite hit. The meat had flavor, the tacos were put together right, and for a quick stop before a movie, this absolutely overdelivered. The place was easy, the service was fast, and the whole stop felt like one of those hidden little wins you're glad you trusted. In all, Taco Express did exactly what it needed to do... Quick. Flavorful. No nonsense. Strong taco ancestry. And honestly, if this building was once a Taco Bell and has now evolved into this... that's character development. Will I be back? Yeah... because movie plans and tacos are a dangerous combo.
