Honestly, if it wasn't a part of the Fukumi Group Passport promotion, I probably wouldn't have known about this location. It's a small spot where you can order to go, or there is some seating available for dining in. I ordered the two-plate combo with two sides. I chose the Spicy Thai Chicken and Honey Chicken, along with rice and broccoli. I was really impressed with both chicken options. Neither was dry at all, and the portions were generous. The Spicy Thai Chicken was barely spicy to me, but the flavors were still really good. The Honey Chicken was also delicious and had the perfect amount of sweetness. One scoop of rice definitely wasn't enough for me, and I contemplated ordering more because I still had plenty of leftover chicken. I believe they make their own teriyaki sauce, but I didn't get a chance to try it. The girl working at the front was very nice. Even though I ordered my food to go, I decided to eat there instead. Teriyaki place off Zinfandel that's a little hidden gem. It's in a shopping center that a few of the big businesses are closed down so a bit more hidden then we expected. We came here because Young's is part of the Fukumi group's restaurant passport promotion. I'm glad we got to try this place because it's honestly one of the better teriyaki places we've been to in the Sacramento area. New and clean inside and the front counter girl was really nice and helpful. This spot had a vibe of a takeout place but had nice tables to sit and eat in if that's what you choose. Menus were easy to follow and had good choices. I only wish they had shrimp as a protein option but I like seafood. My order was the teriyaki beef with spicy Thai chicken with rice and broccoli. The beef was tasty, I enjoyed it a lot. I'd return for that. The spicy Thai was good but very very slight salty, like borderline only so it's a slim knock if anything. The rice helped with that and honestly I think the rice was so perfect here. I love rice that's a bit on the stickier side and not too dry and Young's makes it great. It made me regret not ordering more rice for my plate. The broccoli was broccoli lol but it helped break up the richness from the chicken. Their teriyaki sauce was pretty good as well, slight fragrant gingery taste but had good flavor to dip the broccoli. All in all I do like Young's I'm sure if we're in the area and wanted a plate lunch we'd be happy with one of their options. Great teriyaki! The staff was very friendly and helpful when asking questions about the food. I ordered the plate with teriyaki chicken and spicy pork. Both really good. The pork has good flavor with a little kick, not a lot. The teriyaki is good cause it's not the super sweet American teriyaki. This is more about flavor and not sweetness. Ordered with rice and the stir fried veggies. The veggies were crisp and tasty. Came in during lunch hour and it was almost full. It took less than 10 minutes to get our other, which was fast considering everything is cooked to order. Nice quiet place, staff very friendly and you can hear music playing but not super loud. I'm pretty sure I could've just turned right in to the parking before the tracks. But now I know. Also, you can't really see their sign while driving, so just be aware that it's a bit hidden. But it's worth it! The person working greeted me as soon as I walked in and was very friendly. I actually ordered online, so I didn't get to talk much. Now on to the food. I like how the teriyaki plates are customizable. So many combinations to try haha. Below is what we ordered: Plate 1: Chicken Katsu, Beef Teriyaki, White Rice and Macaroni Salad. The Beef Teriyaki didn't look that good, BUT don't let looks deceive you. It was the best beef teriyaki I've had haha. It was very tender and flavorful. The chicken Katsu was juicy and not too much breading. The Mac Salad kind of caught me off guard. I was expecting it to be like a Hawaiian style mac salad. I guess I should've known it would be different considering this is a teriyaki place haha. Once I got over that confusion, it was actually pretty good. Seemed a bit watery, but maybe that's how it's supposed to be? Either way, this plate was very good. Plate 2: Honey Chicken, Spicy Thai Chicken, White Rice and Macaroni Salad. The portion size is pretty big. It can be shared if not too hungry haha. The flavors between the 2 chickens were very distinct. The Spicy Thai did have a bit of a kick, so just be aware. This establishment has a shared parking lot so there's plenty of parking spots. It's a bit hard to spot as this is on a corner but GPS should lead you to the right location. Walking in, the vibe was relaxed and also warm. The staff was very kind and insightful on the menu. They were attentive on bringing utensils and bowls to share considering that I came with another person. I got a plate where I chose chicken katsu, chicken teriyaki, macaroni salad, and rice. The chicken katsu was crispy and decently portioned (1 cutlet). The katsu sauce lathered on top was a great add on! We dined in so it didn't ruin the crispiness of the chicken katsu. The chicken teriyaki was smoky with a hint of sweetness to it. The meat was not dry but it wasn't like a burst in flavor so you do get tired of it after a while. They are cut into tiny irregular pieces but that wasn't a problem to eat. The macaroni salad with bell peppers and corn was delicious! It was an extra dollar which I still thought it's worth. Rice was fresh and there's not much else to it. The shrimp tempura roll was solid and what I expected. Fresh rice with imitation crab that was at a good slightly cold temperature and a slightly crispy shrimp inside. The yum yum sauce wasn't too overpowering but you have the pickled ginger to refresh your palate if needed. On a side note, your fukumi points from other restaurants still works here. Overall, I would give this place closer to a 4.5 stars. I'd come back especially during weekday lunch where it's ~$9-$10 for a bowl (1 entree and 1 side). read more

Was contacted by management (nearly 2 months ago) who wanted to make our last couple of bad visits up to us. He said he wanted to make it right and then left me on read. Pretty crappy thing to do, why even reach out if you're going to lie? Even after all that, we decided to give it another go. Our food this time was very spot on and customer service great as usual. The location is horrible, people are usually smoking fentanyl mere feet away from the storefront and there is zombie druggies everywhere. Tonight was the worst yet. A man which seemed to be dead, was overdosing on fentanyl, surrounded by other druggies that were trying to revive him, one even robbing him. It was graphic and raw and quite horrible. Not that its Youngs fault, but just be warned, its in the middle of a craphole. Your food may be inconsistent, management may promise to fix it (and then ignore you) and you will have to deal with druggies outside the establishment. read more

The TikTokers made it seem like plate came with certain items at a base price, but in reality, extras like noodles or beef cost more. I've been here twice now.
