My sister and I wanted to try the new holiday milkshake called WITCH PLEASE which is an Ube Oreo concoction. We went through the drive-thru at this location on my way home from work. It was predominantly vanilla ice cream shake with a hint of ube. Not bad just not enough ube flavoring. It was overly sweet and had a good consistency with lots of Oreo bits throughout. Promos show a purple drink and mine was barely lilac, mostly grey. I tried using the app to preorder and it did not work. The person taking my order was patient as the speaker at the ordering screen does not work well. It's very low and static-y. I had to ask them to repeat what they said a few times. I understand if you've had a long shift and are tired, however that shouldn't spill over to your customers or the drive-through. Tonight going to the drive-through I ordered two tacos and my driver wanted a coffee. I asked her if I could get two straws with my soda and my coffee and some sauce for my tacos no sauce for the tacos and when I handed her my card, she told me it was declined, which is not possible so I handed her my debit card. I saw the look on her face. It said just because it was EBT card and I had tons of funds on it thought that she was gonna have an attitude and not let me have my food. However, I have tons of bank cards and do not rely on Ebt. The person working in Jack in the Box should not try to force someone to use a debit card when they clearly accept Ebt, her behavior was unacceptable. I placed an online order and went through the drive thru as it was late and the inside was closed. We waited in the drive thru for about 15-20 minutes. When it was our time to get to the window, our food was ready. Quick interaction. Our food was disgustingly cold and was unable to eat it. Wasted money and time as we did not know our food was cold until we were out of the drive thru. I wouldn't recommend placing your order online, at least for this location. read more

I don't think I've gone there one time without them messing up my order.The staff are very rude it's like they weren't taught basic customer service skills. I was on my way to the Bay area but before I did, I had the Jack in the box craving for breakfast. I stopped by at a location that I normally don't go to just because I don't drive that way too often. I went inside and was greeted by Kennedy. He took my order and I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of detail, concern and helpfulness that he displayed just by taking my order. So much that I felt compelled to write this review and to say thank you for displaying customer service the way it should be. The food was also modified perfectly. I wrotre an email to the District Manager, Johana Gutierrez, at Johanagutierrez@yadavgroup.net to explain my experience at Jack in the box. Here is my email: "Good Afternoon Johana, I write this as I am sitting in your drive through at the Madison and College Oak location. I have been here for a total of 18 minutes and the staff has not taken my order. Meanwhile, there are no cars in the drive through window. I asked the speaker, "Hello, anybody there?" after 2 minutes after I drive up. The staff member said, "please give me a second". I then waited 11 minutes and said, "Can anyone take my order?" To which the reply was, "No". I asked, "Excuse me?" Then there was no reply. I waited an additional 5 minutes and said ,"hello" 2 more times with no response. At that point, I actually was concerned there was something bad happening in the store so I slowly drove up to the window, which was open and looked inside. It was extremely disappointing to see that there were only 2 employees in the store, tending to both the dining room and drive thru. It is not realistic to have 2 staff members assigned to taking orders - one at the dining area and one at the drive through, and there is not an employee assigned to prepare the food. These poor employees were frantically going as fast as they could and were overworked.  Is this the typical staffing size? At this point I was not concerned about my wait time because I could see how hard these employees were trying to tend to all the duties. They were clearly doing double the work load, however it simply was not efficient for the amount of dining customers present. The employee apologized profusely for the wait and explained there was only her and 1 other employee in the store.  I let her know it was ok for the wait and that she was doing an incredible job, despite the lack of support by her employer, Jack in the Box. So finally, I get home to eat my chicken fajita pita and the tomatoes had soured.  I am not the one to report this issue, as it happens time to time and I understand. On the other hand, I am writing to you about my experience today and wanted to include everything. I hope you are able to give time to your response to get a plan in place to support your staff, which would elevate customer satisfaction immensely. Having a "quality assurance" employee assigned to verify all food products are being stored correctly and not served to customers when they expire would be beneficial, as well. Also, per food and safety code, employees who handle money are not to handle food. Surely that's impossible with a 2-person staff size. Lastly, it was unusual that there was not a manager or supervisor present in the store. Please note, I started this email in the drive though and finished it after I returned home. I look forward to hearing from you." Johanna called my 3 days later to get clarification about what time I was at the Jack N Box and said she would be following up with me once she spoke to the store manager. I never heard back from her. I reached out again via email, stating "Are you going to reply to my email sent last week?" Johana replied, "I was the one that called you last week ans we spoke over the phone !" I replied, "Good Morning, I understand that you verified my complaint by phone, but there was no solution and no follow up.  I was not even offered a refund for the spoiled food I paid for. It is disappointing to see the response of Jack In The Box and the lack of customer relations." To this day, I do not have a refund, gift certificate, and no follow up - just a reference that Johana verified my emailed complaint, via phone. Note to Johana: follow up is when you contact the person again to update on how your company is handling things (and offer me a refund for spoiled food). Johanna - I hope you get the re-training needed to handle your position adequately. read more

DO NOT EAT HERE !!!!!!! I literally just went to the drive thru to get breakfast. I ordered an iced coffee and pulled out of the drive thru before tasting it. Once I tasted it, it was nasty so I decided to go inside and ask if they can remake it. Once inside, I witnessed one of the employees putting hash browns into the sleeves WITH HIS BARE HANDS !!! then he would wipe his hands on his shirt. Once I called them out and asked for a full refund, he then put on gloves and had an attitude with me. I asked for a corporate number which they refused to give me but another employee was kind enough to give me the district manager's number. I called with no answer so I left a VM. This place is in a run down area. It is co-joined with a gas station. Ordered a double burger meal. Ate inside. It was a single burger I got. Receipt was hard to read. Could not glance at it to see what I ordered. Fries a bit too crispy. Bun was a bit hard and sold. Not the best place to stop. Server was nice. When I finally got to the speaker, they said they weren't accepting anymore orders because the current shift was leaving and the next shift wasn't there. Asked if I could at least get a refund and they said they didn't know. So now I have to contact customer service to try to get a refund. Curly Fries! Jack in the Box is one of my favorite fast food stops. This location has been good the couple of times I have stopped here. I have only been through the drive through so I can't speak on the inside. The drive through always felt a bit slow, but on my last visit it was a Saturday at lunch with a line and they had it moving right along. The service was quick and the lady at the window was very nice. My order was correct and really fresh. You can tell when the fries have been around awhile but not this time. I have been going to this one at least 5 times a week. I keep giving them another chance, but NO MORE! I WILL NEVER EVER GO THERE AGAIN! I went inside to place an order. There was no one waiting to order. I left after waiting a full 15 minutes without them even acknowledging me at all (even though they looked several times and saw me). They never said anything to me. The other Jack in the Box's let you know that if they can't take your order right away they will be with you shortly. On another visit, I ordered a 10 piece chicken nuggets (with other items) and asked if I could get 3 sauces for the nuggets. The manager said NO. EVERY TIME I GO TO THE DRIVE THRU IT IS ALWAYS EXTREMELY SLOW. They will not take your order until the vehicle at the window leaves. That makes the line back up and get long. They are very rude (especially the manager).They do not give a receipt with your order (I'm sure they don't want a negative response on the survey that's on the receipts). Every other Jack in the Box I have ever been to will either automatically give a receipt or ask if you want it. I have left very negative responses on their surveys with no response or changes made. I now go out of my way to go to other Jack in the Boxes or their competitors.. EVERY OTHER JACK IN THE BOX TREATS YOU RIGHT. In fact, their competitors (McDonald's, etc) treat you better than they do. At this Jack in the Box they never thank you. Other ones (and their competitors) thank you (the great majority of the time). read more

This place is a joint venture with a gasoline station. Bathrooms were pretty dirty inside despite them using the coin method to get in, but at least no graffiti or anything like that. I don't have high expectations for a fast food joint, but this place certainly shines. Both the drive through service and the lobby service is very prompt. The manager is very nice too. Just be warned that this area attracts the tweakers and the homeless. Also 2 am on a Friday or Saturday night there is usually a significant line at the drive through for obvious reasons. read more
