Came in on a Thursday night and the place was completely empty, which I thought would mean a quick in-and-out. Not quite! I waited a while before anyone came to the counter--looked like they were busy handling mobile orders. I would appreciate if they take my order first so that I didn't have to stand there and wait for so long. I had a coupon for the Cluck Chicken sandwich, but they were out. That said, I appreciated that they let me swap it for Jack's Spicy Chicken Sandwich. It was hot, crispy, and hit the spot. Me and my friends pulled up and we accidentally placed one of our orders at the wrong store. We told them our names and they said "We only have Eysia" "Did you just put these in?" We replied with yes because everyone knows to wait to place their orders so their food isn't fucking cold?? He then responds with "For future reference, you can't pull up right away because our system glitches" uhm? Okay, we tell him to give us a second. Before we can even pull up the app to take a look he comes back out "I can't have you placing doordashes or mobile orders in my drive thru". We weren't doing this?? We were literally just trying to pull up our app to see what was wrong. Mind you the drive thru is 1000% completely empty. Well we decided to pull up and grab the first order and then pull back around to figure out the second order. We get that all figured out, we pull back up to the screen and we get "Sorry we can not take your order. Our system is updating. Have a good night" and we all look at each other like, wtf?? I remember going to Jack in the Box as a kid with my family. We finished the fries before we got home and there very few left for mom. Jumbo Jack is still my favorite and with two tacos! I got a combo with fries and a medium coke. Yes I know it's late and I shouldn't be eating this so late but this is the only Jacks in Utah. It's been too long. Dang! I forgot to order one of the great shakes they make. Oh, almost forgot. I got the jalapeño poppers! Hot, spicy, churchy and a velvety chew all in one bite.I only get the small with 3 peppers. Anymore that 3 and it feels like an entree. The Jumbo Jack has fresh cuts of lettuce, tomato, raw onions and pickles. I'm not sure what the special sauce is but it's as great as I remember it being. The cashier was super nice and didn't give me any issue when I asked for ranch and when he delivered the ranch I then asked for ketchup. He gave me a handful and smiles. I went through the drive through so not sure about the vibe inside. Thankfully it's 12 miles from my home so I won't be coming to the best quality fast food in the state. Terrible service, I clearly asked for 4 sausage breakfast jacks during the overnight shift and they gave us ham so I went back just to ask for them to fix it. I'm always so polite and I go here often, the lady night time supervisor grabbed my receipt and food and walked away with no "sorry for the mixup" of any sort. When the order was ready she dropped it off and made the remark "next time double check your order before you drive off." and walked away. I wanted speak to her because I don't believe I should have to check my order if the order isn't even complicated. They refused to come back to allow me to respond. Jack needs to train their employees on customer service as this is unacceptable. Well, Salt Lake finally got a Jack In The Box! My husband and I went in July after most of the hype (no thanks to 2 mile long lines) died down, but even then there was still a 30 minute wait to get our food after waiting 10 minutes in line to order. The staff was nice and helpful with my questions and substitutions/additions to food. The food was good for a fast food restaurant, as expected. I like that they had a sourdough option for the bun. We also tried their tacos which I enjoyed. The restaurant itself felt spacious and well lit. It was relatively clean for as busy as they are. I hope they continue to keep up with the cleanliness. And I'm sure the lines have calmed down by now. I'm sure I'll visit again in the future. read more

The hype around this place is slowly dying down. When it first opened there was lines in the drive through and lines to just even get in. It was shiny and new, people wanted that fast food fix. I finally got to try jack in the box after seeing that suit wearing snowman commercials all my life. But, I understood why the hype died down really quick. Just want to emphasize that I'm coming in with a mind set of this place being a fast food chain restaurant. I will be comparing this place with other fast food chain restaurant. Let's start off with their curly fries. The curly fries isn't really anything special. It's a less seasoned version of the curly fries you'd get at Arby's. The burger meat was dry. The burgers were actually dry in general. Highly recommend adding their ranch sauce to it. (Ps the secret ranch sauce is just a super rich ranch dressing). Their famous taco, I kind of regret getting this. This would be delicious not sober...but I was too sober for this. This place is newly opened but it doesn't look that way. The floors was a mess. The bathrooms already terrible. There was a couple of flies mating by menu. Jack in the box is the perfect late night munchies/drunk food run cause they have everything. That's all folks! read more

We went here around 4 on a Saturday . It was pretty busy but we got served quick . We decided to go inside since the drive thru was super busy . They have lots of choices on their menu . The inside dining area was clean & the workers were friendly . I ordered the sourdough Jack . This is a hamburger with bacon, tomato , Swiss cheese & toasted sourdough bread . Delicious! I got the onion rings these were so good & crispy . They have full size onion pieces . We also gott the bacon Swiss buttery Jack. This was a good burger . We ordered fries . They were good but could have been fresher . They have Coke products . We ordered a chocolate shake because they looked amazing but were disappointed when ours was lacking most of the whip cream & no cherry on top like everyone else had . But it was still very good . My friend order an ultimate burger and got a single cold burger. The soda taste like dirty water. I refuse to drink it because I didn't see her get. When I asked her for the fifth time that I wanted onion rings she said it's a up charge I told her ok I always get onion rings. Service was extremely slow and unorganized. I waited about 10 minutes before being acknowledged and being able to order my food. And around 25 minutes to receive our food. My family placed three separate orders and all were incorrect. Staff repeatedly ignored us and responded with attitude when we asked for help. Multiple customers were also frustrated by long wait times. The manager even mentioned she "was supposed to be with her family and wasn't supposed to be there," which reflected in the poor attitude and service. I was looking for something quick on my way to the hospital to visit family. I noticed Jack in the Box and decided to pull in. The drive thru wasn't too packed, but it did have a couple cars, so I opted to go inside. I stood at the cash register to wait for service since no one was up front. There were a frenzy of workers towards the back. Near the drive thru and prep area. A gentleman walked up to the register. Avoided eye contact and even an acknowledgement that I was there. Continued to do something on the register for a minute or two and then walked out. I'm guessing he was clocking out!? It must have been five minutes I stood there. Just curious how long it would take for someone to help me at this point. Within that time 2 people stared right at me with full eye contact and continued on they're way. At long last I had to get going, so I ended up walking out empty handed. I've had Jack in the Box before, but not from this new and only location in Salt Lake City. Oh my gosh, it is so hard to get into this place! But get into it you must ! You have never had tacos like their two for $1.49 tacos! I used to get them all the time in Seattle when I visited there ! My son thought me crazy because that's the only thing I ever ordered, especially being a hamburger place!!! This place is so busy that one night I came ,They literally had an hour wait to be able to get a product. I was considering waiting, but had another venue to go to! I came here at 2 o'clock today. Went to the only JITB drive-thru in the SLC area...at least for now (JITB's website is stating that a new store is opening in March in South Jordan at The District.) So, my wife and I decided to try this original spot just off State Street @ 2100 S. We've been patronizing Jack for years...with the first one being at the corner of Los Alamitos Blvd. and Farquhar Ave in Los Alamitos, CA...'68-'72 (it used to be on the north side but now resides on the south side of Farquhar...yes I'm that old!) Since then we've patronized various franchises back east, Illinois, Colorado, and California, and even helped put one out of business in Flagstaff, AZ ~1999 (yes, the place was a literal pig sty, and after we contacted Jack Corp HQ, we heard they shut the place down...) But I digress... This restaurant was OK...very busy inside and especially in the drive-thru. We waited some time for our burgers, fries, and their infamous tacos but it was worth it. But it just seemed that my burger was made hours before I got there and wasn't fresh. However, it did taste good, and being as hungry as I was it went down fast. The regular fries were unremarkable. My wife and I enjoyed our visit but may not be back any time soon. The manager there needs to focus on cleanliness, restocking of consumable supplies (putting straws out where customers can access them,) and faster service. We'll patronize the South Jordan one next.
