    Abundant peppers whoa NOT

Ordered the Chillin Chili for the Roasted peppers... got to the end of the first half of my sandwich before I hit the tiniest piece of roasted chili. So disappointed. This place is Too Expensive to be so chintzy. Will never order this sandwich again. Ordered through the app and I must say - every time we pay for that tip beforehand our order is wrong, the food is bunk or they've left something out. Refer to photo on zoom to see those delicious roasted peppers (I drew a box around it).

I called in the order and went and picked it up. The gentleman on the phone was very polite he repeated the order back and was patient while I ordered the second one. You can eat in but it's not very large inside maybe 6 tables. You can see them cook the food from the counter. I got chicken peppers spinach and cheese with fries the fries are steak fries they have fountain drinks and bottle drinks. They have tvs to watch while you wait. Everyone was nice the food was excellent and we will go back again soon.

Half hoagie added cheese bc it doesn't come with which is crazy $10 extra charge for cheese Steak fries $4 Kids chicken fritters w fries $10 Juice box $2 So we were craving hoagies since it's been so long! The trust cheese steak use to be a staple so we decided to go. It's def not as good as I remember it. Flavorless, expensive. The meat has no flavor. Steak didnt have salt. Chicken fritter had a rubbery taste. I'm only giving 2/3 star bc the customer service was great! Young Asian guy was nice and helpful. They charged us $2 for a Carpi Sun!!!! We didn't realize it until free we paid and I'm not the type to return anything but capri sun is the cheaper of any juice box that there can be and $2 a pop is insane. Parking is a nightmare on a weekend. I won't return to this location.

One of my fav cheese steaks in the East Bay. I've tried a few in San Leandro, and this is one worth driving a little further for in Castro Valley for me. I usually order a classic Philly and add mushrooms and bell peppers, and cherry peppers for a kick. The bread is a great fresh texture, not too thick and has a good flavor. The steak is tender not chewy, and all the flavors are balanced with the cheese (I usually get American). Curly fries were nice, hot and crunchy. The interior is standard size for a sandwich shop with 4-5 four seater tables. Service was friendly. It wasn't too busy when I got there. I'd go back, and wish they had more locations in the East Bay given they're a franchise. It's not the BEST cheese steak I've ever had, but for the area it hits hard. I'm always looking for local cheese steak spots to patronize as well, but until I find one better, it's TCSS all the way.

This chain is not quite as good as it was back in the day but it's still pretty good. The hoagie sandwich was loaded with meat and the classis philly always hits the spot. If you order the steak fries, I'd recommend ordering them extra crispy.

Philly cheese steak with no cheese????

Seriously so bad. We called in a phone order for 5 sandwiches and 4 fries. Came in to pick up and realized we only received 3 sandwiches and 3 fries. The fries we were given were only half a basket and they were cold. The sandwiches we did get had NO cheese!!! At a Philly CHEESE steak place! Furthermore, we went back to get our 2 lost sandwiches and they said they would make them but not get it for us until thirty minutes and at that point we wanted to leave. They couldn't even refund us because the lady claimed "she wasn't a manager". We left hungry and down $84. I am so disappointed.

Cheese steak, they didn't add my onions or peppers

I tried this for the first time when my husband asked me to order some dinner for us since he had tried this place before. I was excited to try, I called and I had the guy repeat the order back to me and it sounded good. I was disappointed when I got home and found out that my cheese steak had no onions and no peppers. I am willing to try it again because it did taste good . I had to improvise at home and my husband gave me some of his onions and peppers. They just need to make sure they get their orders right.

Food was good, I got the salad with chicken & my husband got the Philly. The fries were bussin! I'd come back for fries. People were nice & enjoyed siting inside while we scarfed it down.

A lot of items to choose from but the midtown trio is really worth ordering. You can select your own pancakes and french toast to make up the trio but I would suggest the cookie butter pancake. It was the best of the three we got. All the food items look really good, so I am sure if you order anything it will be a hit. They have specialty lattes, so ditch the Philz across the street and order a nice latte here. This is a family friendly environment as they will supply kids with stuff to occupy themselves. There is a bar area too which has a tv for the game. I understand why this place gets so busy. I would come back for a celebration or a meet up with friends.

Today, I ordered a flat white and a short-rib hash and my wife had a crab cake benedict. One of the protips here is that if your entree comes with a bread option, you are able to choose a slice of their coffee cake. Ive been here four times this year and I never had a bad dish. Service was good although the food took a little while to make it to us, it was a Saturday morning and the place was packed. If you are able ot get here around 9-930, you should be okay but be prepared to wait if you come after 10. Their menu selection has a good variety and they have some good Latin and Asian inspired dishes. I do appreciate their extensive drink menu which different coffees and lattes, juices, alcoholic and non-alcoholic options. If you can get over the price, Id highly recommend this place. Remember, eating our in general is expensive so if you go somewhere else, sure you will be paying less however, the quality here is worth the price.

I love the New Orleans food scene and therefore had a pretty high bar for Cajun food outside of Louisiana. I came in a little hesitant because I've been disappointed too many times by the options we have in the bay for Cajun food. But after I opened the box and took my first bite of that blackened shrimp Po Boy I could've sworn I thought I was sitting in the French Quarter again. The nice young lady that took my order recommended the blackened shrimp as an underrated choice on the po boys so I had to try it out. I came stuffed with a Red wine coleslaw, tomatoes, pickle slices and a drizzle of their special sauce (that I can only describe as spicy cajun mayo). 12/10 and I'm not exaggerating I also had a side (and when I say side take it with a grain of salt cause this feeds like 3 people for being a side) of the fresh Crab fries. Not overdone with the ingredients yet what a powerful hit of flavor, the Cajun seasoning usually comes out a bit salty on fries but these guys figured out how to balance it with the fresh shredded crab on top, garnished off with some green onion and more special sauce, this thing made me look around the room to see if anyone else was reacting like this over the food. (And they were! People were sitting there talking about "last time I tried ___ and ___ and it was fire") In the end I saw a guy that looked very proud to be there and was helping around the place while running back to his computer, that was Brett, the owner. I had to go and shake the man's hand and pick his mind a bit. He's a born and raised in New Orleans guy and you could tell by his kindness and southern hospitality. (Dude gave me a delicious carrot cake to go) Unfortunately in the end I had to walk back out into the reminder that I was in Castro valley and not New Orleans but for minute I was able to remember everything that had previously experienced from my trips there and that's what a great meal should do for you. His city should be proud of what he created here. I will absolutely be back to work my way through the full menu and add more pics to this review.

Place is spacious, lively, dimly lit with music playing at a level you can have a conversation. Table ordered a steak sandwich with salad, cheese sandwich with tomato soup and a five-spice pork ragu over polenta. We all enjoyed our dishes. Food is 3.5-4/5 stars and would like to see a bit more to keep it interesting but know their kitchen setup is limited. No wine with this visit. Dessert: Orange brownie was simple with orange zest and the Hawaiian bread pudding was different and flavorful. Good to see the place bustling and look forward to future rotating pop up events. Got a chance to talk to the owner, Stacey as I recognized her from the Eats by E event the week prior. My bad, didn't know she was the owner of Cordial Cellar & Lounge but all good as she was super welcoming, friendly and was very accommodating when asked if we could pay for our own dishes separately. At the end of the evening perused the Olive & Finn Boutique and quickly welcomed by Jackie who was explaining items like the handmade jewelry and some hand stitched clothing. They are a great snack while you wait for your meal. 9/10 - The ube pancakes: These were pretty solid. I didn't think that the pancakes themselves had a very strong ube flavor, if any. I think all of the flavor was in the ube coconut sauce that they come with. However, there is only sauce on the first layer so you might want to get extra! It is an additional $2.75 or so to get the extra side of ube sauce, though. The pancakes themselves could have been a little more moist and fluffy, as they were a bit dry and dense. I loved the fruit and sauce, so that definitely made up for it! I'm glad that I got to try, but I don't think I'd get them again. Instead, I would get a regular pancake and a side of the ube coconut cream! 8/10 - The chorizo burrito: My bf said that this was also a pretty good option. He thought that it could have been a bit more flavorful, but was still satisfied with his meal! 7.5/10 - The side of hash browns: These were good, as to be expected!
