The person who is allegedly the manager was a lady probably in her late 20s to early 30s long black hair with tattoos acted as if I were an inconvenience for even standing there placing an order. Standing behind her was an African-American gentleman who was wiping his nose on his arms while he was serving fries. I come here a lot while working since I work graves and it is usually the only place open in Tumwater besides Taco Bell (gross) and McDonalds. The employees working the drive thru are always polite, friendly, and efficient. I seriously have not had a bad experience. This is the best Jack in the Box in Thurston County. read more

It's really hard for me to believe that the owners of this Jack in the Box truly care even one iota about their customers, despite the responses to negative reviews on Google suggesting that they do. If they did, they WOULD NOT allow the awful woman working night shifts on Tuesday/Wednesday am to have any contact with customers. I'm assuming she is a manager since she kept referring to the drive thru as "hers" and threatening to call the police if we didn't get out of "her" drive thru. I got off work late Tuesday night and was starving. My friend brought me to Jack in the Box so I could grab something to eat before heading home. There were a couple of cars ahead of us. A nice young man took our order over the intercom. A few seconds after we had placed our order, a woman's loud voice came over the intercom and yelled at us to move forward. No "please" or "thank you" just "PULL FORWARD!!" My friend and I looked at each other startled and then my friend politely informed her that we could not move forward because there was a car ahead of us. A couple of seconds later, the same woman yells over the intercom, "YOU DON'T HAVE TO GIVE ME ATTITUDE!" At this point, I was truly dumbfounded. I have worked in food service myself and can't imagine treating a customer this way. She was so rude, so combative and hostile to my friend who is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. Not knowing that she could hear our conversation inside the car, I said to my friend, " Wow! What a b!%$#." Well, that did it. Her voice comes blaring back over the intercom "DID YOU CALL ME A B!%$#?! I'M CANCELLING YOUR ORDER AND YOU CAN GET OUT OF MY DRIVE THRU!" To which I responded "Um, I don't think so." You see, there was no way for us to get out of "her" drive thru. There were 2 cars in front of us and 2 behind us. At this point, I wasn't interested in eating anything from this Jack in the Box and just wanted to go home. (Btw-- it was also my birthday!) So we sit there waiting for the cars ahead to get their food. When we pull up to the window, a disheveled, tweaker lady who appeared to be in her late 50s comes storming up to it and proceeds to yell at us, threatening to call the police if we didn't leave. She recognized my friend who had previously frequented this particular Jack in the Box and informed us that we were not to ever return. We left with no food and a bad taste in our mouths. My friend told me that this woman is always like this (?!). How do they still have customers?! I for one will never eat at Jack in the Box after this. And I recommend this location hire a new manager or whatever she is. This woman cannot be easy to work with and I feel for the other Jack in the Box employees who share a shift with her. She appears to hate her job, the customers, and is incapable of providing even the bare minimum of hospitality. And she should probably lay off the meth. read more

They are not open 24 hours, like they claim. Late nights/early mornings are the worst. Decided to give it another try. I placed my mobile order, my card was charged for said order, but when I got there to pick up my food whoever was working blocked off the drive thru with old frying oil boxes, and refused to answer knocks on drive thru window, knocks at door, and telephone calls. We just moved to the area and we're excited to try out a new fast food chain. We were not disappointed! My husband eats meat so he quickly decided on a burger and fries but I'm a vegetarian so it took me a second to decide. We told the woman working the cash register, Melanie, that we just moved here and I wasn't sure about the menu so I was sorry it was taking me so long. She welcomed us to the area then preceded to explain all of my options as she deduced I was a vegetarian. She even made sure I ate eggs and cheese and then spoke about how I could sub chicken/beef for other items. This was also pretty early in the morning so her being so friendly was more than expected. Then when I pointed out that I have received the order without bacon before, they doubled down but also decided to tell me that everything I ordered had bacon on it. This was 100% a lie. I asked because I have dietary restrictions for religious reasons and cannot eat bacon. Their stubborn refusal to do something simple, like remove bacon from an order, was both poor customer service and, frankly, insensitive. read more

This place is horrible. The girl that was on shift who took my order wouldn't even make eye contact and was so nonchalant and just quick to not speak to me that I almost felt offended. To add to the negative experience, I ordered a grande sausage burrito, and I couldn't finish it it was that bad. Jack in the Box is a chain yes but also was my first experience with them! Well this was my second disappointing visit. Thought the first was a fluke. Today started off with a quick visit to an easily accessible JnB. But I ordered through the drive thru and got my order, about to head back home SB I-5. Luckily I double checked my order only to see I was missing my Double stack grilled cheese burger. Good thing I didn't just hop back on the freeway....went Back...thru the drive thru and the cashier was apologetic and admitted his fault,The biggest thing was the burger was still wrong. I order it w/o veggies and it looked like a small nibble was taken out of the patty. Along with this burger and the other sour dough jack I ordered. They were both not hot despite the custom order...sad face when the hunger monster is in full gear! The fries were hot and drink was good. Tried to back up, because 3 cars inline ahead, but another car came into drive thru. We asked kindly to let the people in front of us pull around and park, so we can get out, but no help on that. We were imprisoned by Jack in the box, then harrassed by the manager and threatened by the manager wanting to call the cops. What is wrong with these people? DO NOT go here anytime between 11:00pm-6:00am!!! I work nights and need to get food late. More times than I can count I have been turned away or told a random excuse as to why they can't serve me at this time of day. I was just the only one there at 1:00am and was told at the window: "At this time we will only serve door dash and Uber orders." When I asked why I was told because of low staffing. The employee then told me if I go home and order from an app they can serve me! This made no sense. When I drove by the window after being denied service I saw three employees standing there talking to each other in the kitchen. Seems like more than enough employees to make a burger for me. For a burger, definitely since I live so close. Burger King disappointed me by smashed burger with half filled, oil wilted sweet potato. Mac Donald also disappointed by serving me with quarter pounder with no bottom buns. So far any close location burger joint, this place is it. Its a hot day and they turned off their fryer to cool the restaurant down so...no sandwiches of any kind could be ordered plus other items.
