A very small and tight location, but the style of the restaurant is up-to-date. The staff is excellent. I was amazed at the performance of the manager named Juan. He is an awesome manager that works very hard and he actually does grunt work too (wash trays, pick up trash in dining room area, etc.). It's convenient that this JITB is open 24-hours in kind of a dead neighborhood. The food is JITB, so you know what you're getting--it's always the same. I pretty much rate corporate fast food places on the service, most often the drive-thru. Not superfast, though not slug-like, this JITB does okay. The service is friendly, which helps. read more

This is the worst Jack in the box. Seriously. Always filthy and it STINKS inside! Can't say anything about the restrooms since I would have to be out of my mind to even consider going in there. I just ordered a Buttery Jack Combo with bacon and swiss cheese and buy one spicy chicken sandwich and get one free with a coupon. First of all the coupons saved me some money. The most important part was the food was fresh and piping hot. The fries were crispy and you could tell they had cooked it to order. I don't usually review but I felt the need to give a thumps up to this location and the people who work there. Also I told the manager or cashier that they were doing a great job and the food was perfect. That's the we it's supposed to be done. I hope you like cold food, because that's how this locations serves theirs. First off, I don't know what it is about the whole Van Nuys city, but both Jack's have issues with getting their orders correct. Sometimes, I get the correct order, but the food is cold, or I'll get the wrong order, and the food will be cooked. You guys want $15 an hour?! Work for that! First experience at this location I got a jumbo jack meal, with cheese and curly fries, at about 2:30pm figured it's mid shift crew, and the food should be good. Wrong... The jumbo jack literally look as if someone tossed it together in a hurry. I opened it and the lettuce was half out, sauce(ketchup and mayo) was everywhere. I ask for no tomato or onions(they put both in). I ask for curly fries, and got some greasy cold fries which looked like curly fries that were sitting in the fryer for too long. Whatever I ate because I was hungry. 2nd, time... Went at about 12:00am as my girlfriend and I were hungry. She got spicy chicken sandwich, and i got the jacks munchie meal, the one with the grilled cheese burger(don't judge me). Anyways it was decent, but that's not why I'm complaining. I asked for iced tea with no lemon. I got a lemonade... My girlfriend asked for Coke... She got a Diet Coke... Oh and no straws... Okay whatever, I'll pour it into a cup no big. Then when I get to my tacos they were literally under cooked. No, I didn't take too long to eat the burger. I literally inhaled it because I was starving. When I pulled out my tacos from the meal itself before I stared eating... they already were cold... First of theyre menu pricing higher that other jack in the box branch. As an example grande sausge burrito here is aroun 3.80ish+tax .. whereas in Santa Monica sepulveda is. only 3.40ish.+tax so when you add it all up it matters esp. if ur getting a combo Second. I ordered through drive thru they charge you additional for side on the brunch fast menu. It said specifically on the platform Make it a combo: choose 1 side dish and 1 drink. So i asked not to get any side only a drink instead. they charge me for the whole combo price. Today i ordered here in Santa Monica Sepulveda and I was charge combo price with side and drink, now im satisfied! Third, i called them to point out my issue they have me on hold pass around keep saying "hello? hold on for a moment" 4 times... I eat here all the time as my work has me driving down Sepelvuda. I have to say this is the best Jack's in the valley. Food is always hot and fresh. I've never had a wrong order or bad/cold food. The employees have to deal with the massive population of homeless/addicts that try to camp out in the restaurant, so it's amazing that it's so clean. Great management. read more

I really hate to rate a place so poorly but this one deserves it. I went to the drive thru and placed my order. When I got to the window the guy just motioned to me to "gimmee money". I gave him a $10 bill as he didn't say how much and he gave me change, eventually my food and a receipt. The change was right so I thanked him and he never said a word the whole time. I did the survey and that is why I am rating them. I got a call from the manager and every time I called he wasn't there. I finally spoke to him and he was 100% disinterested, said sorry and that was that. Then Jack sent me another survey to find out how I felt and the link never worked. There is another one down the road a little and I will go there if I need to. This place used to get high marks on my surveys but I will AVOID them from now on. read more

So I ordered breakfast this morning from this Jack in the Box because I was at work and it didn't sound like a bad idea. I ordered a supreme croissant and a couple bites in I immediately regretted it hearing an irregular crunch in my bite. The crunch was a piece of egg shell. I opened the Sandwich to see a big piece of egg shell right on the surface, easily visible to anyone who actually looked at what they were making. This is just amazing. I've been coming to this jack since 2010. The service that it had can't be compared to today's service. Food is not cooked properly. I know, it's fast food but I got off late from work and to make things easier I stopped at Jack. I would have known my chicken sandwich would be uncooked and my son curly fries half full and no sweet and sour sauce for my egg rolls I would have just stopped by Carl's. How can you charge extra for Large curly fries and only fill it up half way? But regular fries you over load. Ask for sweet and sour sauce and I get BBQ sauce and hot sauce. We went through this JITB via drive thru recently. My Jack's spicy chicken sandwich was dry and they added cheese to it without asking if I wanted it or not (I don't like cheese on it). The curly fries I gotten were from the last scrapings as there were only a few "good" curly fries and the rest were crappy. The first order was WRONG. It was taken right but prepared wrong. Four tacos with NO lettuce , a value fry, and a medium ice tea extra ice. 10 white sugar, 8 hot sauce, and a couple Ketchup. What I received. Four tacos with my nemesis and allergy LETTUCE, 3 hot sauce. What extra LETTUCE. Drive Thur. First time I looked before I am at my destination. I go in and you think they would give my a free I don't know a packet of ketchup (sarcasm ) but giving something because they made an error nor sarcasm. The tacos NOT greasy and some of the best I have had. The cook poor older woman did not seem to speak English. Fault theirs. Why did they not tell her there was a change. this is my favorite Jack, it is like you walked into a real life sitcom. the cashier Jaun, he always seems to be here, he is like a gay latino version of Flo from the 70's comedy Alice, his mood flips are a true delight to behold. the antics of the homeless on the patio always one heck of a floor show. sure the place is a filthy af, the bathroom looks like they stole it from a condemned gas station, and it is jack n the box so the food sucks... but I love this place! read more
