Overall: Americanized tacos, friendly staff Food: Tacos came with lettuce instead of street-style; quesadilla arrived with guacamole and sour cream. Salsa tasted bland and looked like it had just been pulled from a freezer. The main positive was that they don't skimp on the meat, which was a pleasant surprise. Service: Staff were friendly. Atmosphere & logistics: Limited seating -- not good for groups. Bottom line & tip: Not recommended for authentic Mexican; if you want something better than Del Taco, come solo or with one other and skip group outings.

Such a wonderful family-owned restaurant! The food is delicious, the service is friendly, and you can really feel the care and love they put into everything they do. It's a hidden gem that deserves so much more attention. If you're looking for a local place with great food and a welcoming atmosphere, definitely give them a try! Supporting small family businesses like this one is so important. Highly recommend!

Single carne asada combo platter. Awesome!

This place is awesome!! I was craving a crunchy taco and found them on Yelp. I got a combo platter and was blown away by how good it was. The carne asada has so much flavor. The presentation was great. But damn, it hit the spot. Well done !!

Found this amazing little hole in the wall breakfast spot while waiting for our car to be serviced. I've been craving a really good breakfast burrito for the past couple of weeks and Deli Mex did not disappoint !! The chorizo burrito was perfect and fat as fuck pro tip check in on yelp for free chips and dip :) the dip itself was very, very good. There's a sign in front of the cash register stating that all of their sauces are homemade. You can definitely taste the love and authenticity in every bite. Although there's not a lot of seating, it's very cozy and cute inside. The owner/manager/chef (?) was so sweet and accommodating he def made sure we had a good experience :) Will definitely be back even when we're not getting our car serviced lol

Went off a recommendation and saw the great reviews. Order a carne asada burrito and person who takes your order is super nice and really want to give this 5 starts but just can't because I was let down by the burrito. I think it's because my expectations were so high because it's a good burrito it's just not an amazing burrito. I like a ton of meat in mine and didn't taste the meat as much as I'd like. Great place though and my order came with chips and salsa too

Worth every bit of the weight just be patient. You'll have one of the best tacos with all these ingredients ! Fresher that fresh..we had the Carne Asada and chicken. They both are ideal. Skip Del taco ! Skip Taco Bell! Spend a little more money for a fabulous taco.

Great family establishment. Food is amazing and service is on point. Best breakfast burritos in the SFV.

Best breakfast burrito I have had in a very long time!!! Super fluffy eggs with big chunks of crispy (but not oily at all) bacon, delicious homemade salsas AND piping hot super tasty coffee!!! Tiny store front on Magnolia Blvd with street parking in front! The place is nothing fancy (though they were playing great jazz!!) but the taste of homemade food is worth the adventure. Plus, the folks working there just couldn't be nicer!!!

The atmosphere and decor are fun, clean, and inviting. The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and hardworking. The Latin music softly playing overhead was soothing and pleasant. The food was perfectly prepared and delicious! Each dish was flavorful and fresh. My family and I ordered a garden omelette with fruit, a two-egg breakfast, and penne pasta. The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor dining, and the restrooms were clean. As we finished our breakfast, a band was setting up to perform on the outdoor patio. Live music is performed here free of charge for guests several times a week, both during the day and in the evenings. Parking is limited, with perhaps ten spots in total; however, street parking is available. We definitely plan to return here soon.

We asked for indoor so we understood that anyone sitting outside would go first, but what wasn't cool was seeing people who walked in after we had already been waiting get seated inside. It was super chaotic because no one knew how to order since you either have to order via the QR code on your table or at the register, so the manager had to step in and assign roles to everyone. FYI it's additionally confusing because there are no servers and yet they still have the workers run around delivering the food/drinks/etc. No hate at all to the workers since they are overworked and wearing many different hats, but this system just created a very frustrating breakfast experience. We were hoping the food would make up for this but unfortunately when I received my Blu Jam Benedict, the eggs were completely cold. The table next to us also had the same issue with their meals and sent back their food. Really want to give a shout out to the manager, Wilson, who worked very hard to make this experience better for us. He had a new one made for me and when I couldn't eat that one either because it still tasted off, he was able to refund my order. He was also so kind and very understanding to us throughout. My boyfriend thought his Crunchy French Toast and Iced London Fog Latte were fun and I liked the orange juice!

Sit on the patio to enjoy the full effect of the fairy lights, fireplace and cozy spaces meant for an intimate date. I had their Old Fashioned which was banana flavored for summer. The banana was a more subtle finish, not sweet, but I still prefer their peach version and wish it was also on the menu. The deviled eggs are just the right bite for drinks. We also had the flatbread and hummus, made with green garbanzo beans and served with watermelon radish and pita bread. TIP: if you like biscuits, order theirs! Put your order in right away because they're baked fresh for you and they take a while. With the honey butter, it's perfect! Service is consistently good! It feels like the setting of a perfect romantic comedy, the kind of place where people accidentally fall in love over coffee, old friends reconnect, and writers fill notebooks on sunny afternoons. The moment you walk through the garden gates, the city seems to disappear. The outdoor patio is beautiful year-round, with twinkling lights, mature trees, and an atmosphere that feels both elegant and completely relaxed. The food is consistently fresh and delicious, the bakery case is impossible to resist, and the market is filled with thoughtful finds that make every visit feel special. Whether you're meeting friends for brunch, having a business meeting, or simply enjoying a quiet morning, Sweet Butter has a way of making ordinary moments feel memorable. And if you are an east coast transplant like me, you will see a lot of friends here. What I love most is that it has heart. It's charming without trying too hard, stylish without being trendy, and welcoming to everyone who walks through the door. The owner dresses the place up every season and holiday and has a collection of amazing gifts to purchase from books to chotkes. It's a magical place and the entire menu is literally all good. It's a can't miss. It does have a rush lunch crowd from about noon to 230 pm so plan ahead for street parking as they don't take reservations. They do move food pretty quickly however. Personal faves: Kale salad, Cobb salad, any breakfast items and anything from the pastry cabinet. Fresh towering birthday style cakes. Amazing drink selection. They have a cute outdoor patio and also a semi open indoor patio (it's the best way I can describe it). You have to order your food inside the cafe but you cannot sit in there, it's too small and they do not have tables. I did not order food so I cannot give an opinion about it. I ordered a large English breakfast hot tea with steamed oat milk on the side. Technically it's not a latte but on my receipt it says latte and they charged me $6.50 for it. Then, they added $2 for large. I am guessing for the large cup? For the oat milk I paid an extra $0.95. After tax I ended up paying $10.37 for a bag of tea and some oat milk which is pretty HILARIOUS!!!! The owner must be pretty delusional but also rich! I have never paid such a ridiculous price for a simple tea but maybe they sprinkled it with some gold dust which would justify the exorbitant amount! Anyway I sat outside on the outdoor patio and I realized that the patrons there are special people (or at least that's how they see themselves). The vibe is pretty pretentious but I was just minding my own business and enjoying my peace which got quickly disturbed by two wannabe actors who sat right next to me and started speaking so loud because you know how they like for others to hear about their impressive resume. LOL So to sum up I won't be returning mainly because they rip you off! They should rename the place sweet butter & sour bill!

I wish I had read my last review from 9 yrs ago before revisiting this place today…read more Let me tell you about the good things first... this won't take long. Kelley, our server, was a sweetheart. And the glass of wine was a nice pour and a decent wine. I like that they let you in for something to drink before officially opening for the day. Cue record scratch... now about that food. No, we did not order the wrong thing and no, IMO, they were not just having a bad day. Look at these Huevos Rancheros with "house hash, tostadas and 3 eggs"... those are chips (I think from a bag of tortilla chips) so not really a tostada, no way there were three eggs in that thing (from what I could see)... not sure what the "house hash" is but nothing I could identify on the plate. I know a lot of people might leave a restaurant and say "I could have made that at home" but there is no way I would make something this crappy at home. LOOK at this Avocado Toast with "avocado spread"... that is some thin smear of something green but when you are calling something "Avocado Toast" there should be a substantial amount of the hero ingredient (and maybe not call it "avocado spread" on your menu description. To me, that says, "Look we don't want to call this a "rustic mash of avocado" or "Hass smash" or "hand-crushed ripe avocado" because we know you are actually going to SEE it in front of you in about 15 minutes and "avocado spread" won't lead to a major disappointment." But it did. And this slab of dry plywood that they were calling toast. I turned to my wife and in my best Sebastian Manascalco said, "Why would you do that??" This place mostly failed on food. The food at the other tables looked equally pathetic. Gotta say... all of the cooked egg components of each dish were decent but the rest of the items were like WTF? Ambiance? It's OK... I mean it was a bar with a ton of TVs going. Semi-nice vibe for a sports bar... lots of room. Just can't get over the food. We ate about half of our sodium bombs and left. But parts of the eggs were lovely... as was Kelley.
