There can be a really long wait sometimes but the food is absolutely amazing and the works are always coming out with a smile and know what to say to make your day, they are all super friendly. They provide everything you need and have a variety of different places to sit with different numbers of chairs running from very late groups to sitting alone if with a partner. read more

Terrific food. No other diners when we arrived but after we were served a bunch of people showed up so I guess it was just good timing. I got the breakfast wrap, my friend ordered an egg sandwich, & side order of home fries, which we shared. I LOVE home fries & these were about the best we'd ever had. Very well done, crispy & delicious. I love the decor, there was a shelf of free books, some free zucchini on a table outside & funny signs all over the walls. We enjoyed the decor almost as much as the food. All in all a wonderful experience. read more

Solid breakfast spot. Quick, friendly service, yummy food, and reasonable prices. We called ahead to get a table as we had a larger party of 6 people, and we were glad we did! There were only a few tables left when we arrived and when we were done the line was out the door, so I recommend going earlier in the morning. We had omelets, stuffed French toast, corned beef hash, and lots of coffee. All of the plates were happily emptied and we left satisfied. Definitely recommend if you're in the area! read more

These are the fries I was served. Smelled of nasty old fryer oil. Like seriously?? Wtf is wrong with this place? Wtf is wrong with the "chef" to plate this and what's up with the waitress to even serve this to me?? You can not ignore the smell of that and then to ask if I wanted a box? Yea. OK. This place is shit people. Just don't waste your money. They can't even make fries. Also, the breaded mushrooms were disgusting and frozen obviously, their mash must be from a box, turkey dinner was just bad... like the best thing was the store bought chips people. We visited Jackie's Diner twice while we were vacationing at a nearby ADK town. The first meal I had (pictured) was perfect. I asked for blueberry pancakes with 2 eggs over medium, bacon and potatoes. Husband had a cheese omelet. Delish. No complaints at all. Went back a few days later, got the same exact order and you'd think we were at a totally different place. They forgot to add the blueberries, some of my bacon was still rubbery/pink and the potatoes were cut so large they were undercooked as well. I told our waitress (who was wonderful btw) and asked for some blueberries on the side. To my dismay, they were not fresh blueberries. I received very small pea-sized frozen ones with almost no taste. Pass. Kind of surprised she'd even considering serving them as acceptable but maybe that's just me. Apparently "Steven" was the cook that day and that was his third mistake already (as overheard by the waitstaff discussing the issue I made them aware of) . My husband had the same omelet and said it was fine but his potatoes were undercooked as well. If I were to rate Jackie's based in our first experience, it would be totally different than if I rated it purely in the 2nd. All in all, it really comes down to who's behind the griddle that day I guess. Besides the food inconsistencies, the waitstaff is attentive and considerate (I was not charged for the blueberries) and the atmosphere is small town, laid back and welcoming. I'd go back and give them another chance if we're back in the area again but Steven needs more training. read more

My husband and I tried Jackie's for the first time last Friday evening on our way home from work. We were NOT disappointed. Jackie's dishes remind me of my mother's home cooking when I was a kid. My husband had the fish fry and I had the homemade chicken and biscuits. Dare I say Jackie's chicken and biscuits were as good if not better than my mom's! Delicious! My husband's fish was fried to perfection - light and flaky. It is very obvious that this was not some frozen fish that had been delivered some time ago. I also had the turkey noodle soup - clearly homemade and terrific! We cannot wait for our next trip to Jackie's. I am already fantasizing what I will order next! We have family visiting from out of town in a couple weeks and I cannot wait to take them here for breakfast! A cool thing about Jackie's - on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month you are treated to a live blues jam session. We are very much looking forward to checking that out! read more

I was meeting-up with my parents for a Sunday breakfast. I almost drove past the place because I thought it was a car seal ship (there were so many vehicles in the parking lot!). Even though the place was packed we were able to find a seat without any wait. The place was hopping and we sat ourselves as the sign directed us to. The wait staff was friendly and kind. She took our order and our food arrived quickly-great home cooked meal. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a home-cooked meal that's fast and piping hot. read more

My Wife and I stopped for dinner and I have to say ":Hands Down", THIS WAS THE WORST MEAL WE HAVE HAVE EVER HAD. My wife ordered a fish dinner and the potatoes and corn were cold. We told the waitress and she took it back and microwaved it. I ordered a strip steak with fries, which arrived 20 minutes after my wife's meal. The fries were raw and oil soaked, the steak was heavily grizzled and nasty. I complained and was told that the cook threw out the first steak and that's why it took so long. Jackie told me that the cook was new and he wasn't doing well. I showed them the fries and the steak and they said they would take the fries off the bill. They apologized and said next time they would cook mine personally. NEXT TIME? Are you kidding? There will be NO NEXT time. I would tell anyone thinking of going here to think twice, you would have a far better dining experience at McDonalds. Very, very disappointing! read more

We have been going to this restaurant since they were on RT 107. Over the years their quality and service has declined. We had not been there in a year or more due to the decline in food and service. Today being a holiday, we decided to give it a try again and at the end of the meal we went to use our punch cards (buy 9 get one free) and were told since it was a holiday they refused to punch the cards, They don't seem to have a problem charging full price for the meal so I fail to see why they don't honor the punch. I understand while they may not honor the free meal on the holiday as there quite busy but that has nothing to do with taking 5 seconds and punching a card after all you have the 2 mins to take my money. So this establishment has got the last of my hard earned money it is really sad how places take there long term customers for granted which is one of the reasons we stopped going to this restaurant read more
