We had 6pm reservations for a party of four, arrived about ten minutes early and were seated immediately. The other couple in our party had previously been here and were curious if what they ordered then would be on the menu again. Apparently, the menu is updated weekly. Starting out with cocktails, I know everyone was happy with what they were served. I certainly enjoyed my pint of Coffee Stout, and my wife was pleased with the lavender non-alcoholic cocktail they concocted for her. Because the servings being delivered to other tables appeared to be quite large, we decided to pass on appetizers, in spite of some of the apps sounding rather unique, e.g., Crispy Deviled Eggs, Open Faced Fried Pork Wantons, and Fried Carbonara. My wife was tossed between a Beet Salad with Scallops and the Pistachio Encrusted Chilean Sea Bass. At our server's recommendation she chose the Sea Bass. It was served with corn puree, confit potatoes (which my wife especially enjoyed), and roasted tomatoes. I'll get to enjoy the leftovers. I was trying to make up my mind between the Duck Pot Pie and the Chestnut Mushroom & Boursin Stuffed Tomahawk Pork Chop when our sever alerted us that there were only two servings left of the Pork Chop. I promptly claimed one of them! I am so glad I did. It was an amazingly delicious and well prepared dish. The pork had a slight pinkish color, just as I like it, the meat was so tender and flavorful, the stuffing had a crisped surface from the oven or salamander, everything was wrapped in tasty pancetta, the smashed potatoes were creamy and delicious, a white wine truffle sauce added another level of flavor, and even the carrot spears had the right level of firmness. I can affirm that my leftovers were equally enjoyable. We were not as lucky in having advance notice of the limited availability of a limoncello pie dessert, so my wife and I shared a slice of Banana Cookie Dough Pie. OMG! That was sooooo delicious. It was light, creamy, and not overly sweet. A real treat with the good coffee they serve. That pie along with something from their Lighter Menu, like a burger, would send you home in ecstasy without putting much of a dent in your wallet. Our bill for the party of four having one round of drinks, entrees, and desserts was about $250. Taking the whole dining experience into account, it was a very fair value. But wait! I have more to share with you. On Saturday nights live entertainment is provided by an excellent keyboard player adding to the inviting dinner experience and atmosphere. Great live, unobtrusive, background music is always a plus at dinner. Got a request? Art Mozeik will likely oblige. Even if you'd like to hear a song on an accordion instead of his keyboard. Find your way to Broadalbin, N.Y. for dinner. You won't be disappointed.

Living a portion of my time in Gloversville NY, it pleases me to have found an upscale restaurant that fits my personality and style. I like elegance, good food, great classy drinks and a NYC feel ambiance. I absolutely love the Saturday entertainment (Art) and the fact that the lead chef and sous chef make it a point to come out and greet the guests when able. This high end restaurant offers high end meats, and seafood products that are exceptionally prepared for a fraction of the price compared to high end restaurants in NJ and NY. I walked around to check out some of the other spaces outside of the restaurant area and I love that they have kept so many of the historical facets and spaces alive. In the meantime, I really had no idea that a "taco Tuesday" in Broadalbin would actually be something to talk about! First thing to note is portion size. Gigantic. We all had leftovers. A LOT of leftovers. And while it might not be real "traditional" Mexican food, the quality was excellent. Food was nice and hot; our server was very friendly. The only glitch we hit: the iced tea tasted terrible. Not sure what happened there, but the rest of the meal made up for that. I have no idea what the rooms are like or how it is as a hotel, but if you live nearby, you might want to stop by for a nice meal. We could tell that lots of regulars go there. Hopefully whoever the new owners are will keep up the quality of food.

My neighbor mentioned they got a new chef last summer and reportedly creativity & quality has notched up. Based our most recent experience, I would agree! I tried the chicken parm which was very good. As usual, service was friendly and prompt. Also notable is that the Hotel typically has a nice selection of draft beers.

Staff was on it like sunscreen on a bald guy -- fast, friendly, and always smiling, even in the heat. The food? Classic bar fare with a little extra zip. Wings, burgers, wraps -- all hit the spot after a long day pretending the boat isn't low on gas. Nothing fancy, just good, satisfying lake eats. Perfect for when you've been in the sun all day and your diet went overboard hours ago. Now let's talk drinks: Their beer list is huge, and if you know what's good for you, order the GSL Juice -- an IPA that's only found at Lanzi's and tastes like summer in a glass. Cold, hoppy, and smoother than your uncle's boat docking attempt (and that's saying something). You can't leave without having at least one... or three. The vibe? Laid-back, dog-friendly, and always buzzing in the best way. You've got indoor and outdoor seating, live music some nights, and always someone in flip-flops dancing like they're at a Jimmy Buffett concert. You know who you are, and we love you for it. This place is a staple on Great Sacandaga. Whether you're boating in, driving over, or just coming to watch the sunset and eat something fried -- Lanzi's is always a good time. Plenty of dock space, cold drinks, good food, and that sweet summertime energy that makes you forget what day it is. If that's not a 5-star lake day, I don't know what is.

I've been coming to Raindancer for years and I honestly can't remember ever having a bad meal here. It's one of those dependable restaurants where you know you're going to leave happy. Back before COVID they had a legendary salad bar and I REALLY wish they would bring it back. I'm not even a huge salad person and I still looked forward to it every time I came here. It was fresh, loaded with options, and honestly one of the best restaurant salad bars around. Raindancer, if you're reading this, bring back the salad bar!!! The ribs here are excellent. Always tender, flavorful, and they give you a very good sized portion. I've brought several friends here over the years and everyone has always enjoyed their meals. The restaurant has a nice rustic feel to it that fits the atmosphere perfectly. The food is consistently great and the staff has always been friendly and attentive whenever I've visited. Small negative is there are no free refills on soft drinks. I believe it's always been the case here atleast as far back as I can recall. For me it should be a big deal because I live sodas it's an integral part of my dinner. But yet i like it here a lot so I forgive it. That says something. Keeping my soda filled is one was I rate servers. If they do it without me asking they are ontop of their game to me. But Ike I said that's not applicable here. Just keep it in mind. But for me, the crown jewel here is the chocolate mousse pie. It is fantastic. Light, fluffy, rich without being too heavy, topped with whipped cream and little chocolate morsels. It's absolute heaven. They also have a peanut butter mousse pie that I keep telling myself I'm going to try someday, but every time I come here I can't bring myself to pass on the chocolate mousse pie. Maybe one day... although probably not. It's just too good. They have a take out window. Sometimes if I'm in the area I quickly pick some up for desert. It's so worth it.

It does look like they may have tried to spruce it up at some point but not well. Prices are up there, and the food inconsistent. I had the French onion soup and it was delicious, I followed that with the copped chicken salad and it was awful. Cold pre frozen chicken and absolutely no taste whatsoever to the salad base. Even slapping on salad dressing didn't help. We also ordered the prime rib, now this dish came out perfectly, hot and just as described. It had great flavor. The drinks, soda and ice tea were a ridiculous price, nearly $4 each with no refills. All in all a disappointing meal for almost $100 and nope, no return visit, I believe they are just resting in their laurels of past days.
