    Nice and peaceful place.

If you want excellent NY tasting pizza you have to go to Jackleg! I would rate it more than a 5 if I could. I had a NY style cheese pizza. Nathan hand grates the mozzarella for each pizza. The crust is perfect. A hidden gem. The ambiance is so peaceful. I have stopped eating pizza in Virginia because most of it is so awful. I am in so much trouble now. I don't know, how I can stay away from Jackleg. The answer is- I won't.

This place is awesome! After seeing reviews and posts (and drooling over the pictures) I decided to stop in to Jackleg and I'm so glad I did. The gentleman at the counter was very helpful and friendly. I told him it was my first time and he helped me select a pizza to my liking. I ordered the Mamas favorite pizza on Chicago thin style crust, wow it exceeded my expectations. The whipped ricotta dollops with aged mozzarella, bell pepper, fresh sliced mushrooms, and quality sausage is a winning combination of flavors, AND THAT CRUST! So good! You can tell it's fresh dough. I also ordered their Kale Caesar salad, holy moly that is what salad dreams are made of! The baby kale is tossed and lightly coated in the dressing then topped with a generous pile of fresh shaved Parmesan and crumbled toasted breadcrumbs. (Pictures attached). The restaurant has tables for eat in, a cute little cozy couch and table in the corner too, just a really cool vibe. I ordered ToGo this time, but will definitely eat in on the next visit. Jackleg is serving quality food with well thought out flavors. I highly recommend this hidden gem!

Jackleg Pizza Company is located just next door to Old Bust Head Brewing Co. I believe Jackleg has only been open about 3 weeks or so. I attempted to place my first ever order from them online via the web, but for some reason, their web site ordering system was not working. So I drove over and placed my order in person. Jackleg has an option for Detroit Style pizza. A friend of mine had recently tried it and gave it the thumbs up. So I ordered a Detroit Style with bacon, pepperoni, sausage, roasted red bell peppers, red onion, and mushrooms - to go. Paid with Apple Pay. With their Detroit style pizza - one gets six slices. Pizza was tasty and filling. I especially enjoyed the crunchy well done edges of the pizza! Good service (other than the online web site ordering system being offline). #JacklegPizzaCompany

I ordered a thin-sliced 'Mama's Favorite' with extra olive oil, aged mozzarella, roasted peppers and ricotta cheese for pick up. No complaints at all! First off - that website looks wonky. It says 'under construction' but it's serviceable. That said, it looks awkward and hard to navigate. I hope that gets fixed ASAP. The location is a bit out of the way from any real populated area but I was visiting Old Busthead next door so that was no problem. No indoor dinning; everything is to go. There were a lot of options to choose from (plus a build-your own option). Not that I'm complaining about what I got, but with so many good choices I'll try something else the next time around.

Luv the Detroit style pizza!Very convenient (great) service from the oven to the OBH brewery tables. The sausage is the most delicious, flavorful that I've had in quite a while! Looking forward to trying more menu items next time (soon).

My personal favorite is the meat lover New York style don't get me wrong. The thick quest is delicious only too

Best pizza in town. I absolutely loves the pizza and the customer service. Order you won't be disappointed.

One pepperoni and one cheese, both NY style crust

Amazing pizza. Both the Detroit and NY styles crusts are really good. The little whipped herb ricotta cheese on the side was a nice touch.

Been eyeing this spot for awhile. Finally got there and the pictures lived up to the hype. Very good pizza

Easily best pizza within a 25 mile radius. Got a half and half Detroit and a pepperoni cracker pizza. Would love to try a New York slice. Place is only 10 mins away from Gainesville.

The flavor was good but the crust was so thin you can practically see right through it

Unfortunately, tonight I found the pizza underwhelming. I will give it another chance in case tonight was just an off night.

I'm usually not a white wine drinker, but my fiancé ordered a glass of Terre d'Abruzzo Pecorino, and I was pleasantly surprised. It was incredibly crisp, bright, and refreshing--one of the rare white wines I'd happily order myself. For dinner, we had the Il Misto in garlic sauce and the Linguini Vongole in garlic sauce. A fun touch was that they come around with freshly grated Parmesan and will keep sprinkling it until you tell them to stop. The Il Misto was loaded with a generous variety of seafood, and the garlic sauce leaned creamy without feeling too heavy. The Linguini Vongole was equally enjoyable--the clams tasted fresh with a pleasantly briny flavor that wasn't overly "fishy," and the pasta was cooked perfectly al dente. Overall, this was a satisfying Italian dinner with quality seafood, attentive little touches, and a wine that unexpectedly won me over. I'd definitely come back to try more of the menu.

I wish that San Marzano sauce was on those balls, though! The atmosphere was more "Italian diner" than "nice restaurant", but the food was good enough to please everyone. Tables were kinda jammed together. Service was great though as the waitress was always stopping by to see what else we needed for our meals. Our table got a bit crowded for 3 of us, but that's probably because we're pigs.

I'm also a big fan of prosciutto and arugula pizzas, and Licorice Pizza's version is my favorite. Somehow all the ingredients are arranged thoughtfully so the whole pizza can be eaten bite by bite, rather than getting large pieces of prosciutto or arugula that slide off. A drizzle of oil makes all the flavors shine. We were taken care of by Cheyenne, who did her best by us despite it clearly being a busy night. I appreciated her checking on the pizzas for us unasked when they took a little longer to arrive. She also had a great sense of humor that delighted our whole table. Despite the record-themed decor, something about the ambiance does seem lacking, although maybe I'm just remembering the way the Black Bear looked when I visited in the past. That's worth overlooking for such delicious pizzas. The daily specials and happy hour deals are worth looking into when planning a visit, too. Last thing I want to mention, I came here with my parents, who tend to get cagey at "hip" places, especially at bar areas that can get a little loud. They were totally on board with everything, and as locals I expect to hear them come back soon for more pizza.

After hours running up and down the parade route, I noticed lots of people constantly going in and out of Licorice Pizza, and decided that was my goal for Post-Parade dinner. There was booming music playing as we entered, and our server met us at the table we selected to get us oriented. She was very personable, brought menus, and was attentive as we worked through our long overdue desire for food and drink. The drink menu wasn't huge, but had a nice, safe selection of beer and some festive holiday drinks. For food, lots of appetizers and mains, but we focused on their tasty-sounding pizzas as calzones. Our beer, cocktails, and pizzas came out quickly. Hot. Delicious. Our server checked in frequently and was very high energy. Cute place with solid food and drink choices as you take a break from shopping on Main Street.
