Solid 4 stars overall. The dining area is spacious, which made it comfortable to dine in. Parking is a bit tricky though. The front lot is very small, but there's a slightly larger parking lot in the back, so keep that in mind. Service was a plus. The server was friendly, greeted us right away, and got us seated quickly. He brought out the menu promptly, and the food came out fast even during the lunch rush, which I appreciated. Prices are still somewhat reasonable, and the food was pretty decent. No major complaints there. That said, aside from the food, the restaurant itself has some room for improvement. The chair we sat on was old and didn't have any cushion, and the table and chairs felt a bit sticky, which took away from the overall experience. Pattaya Thai is still a gem in San Bernardino. My team and I come here for lunch all the time because the food is always fresh, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. The drunken noodles are absolutely delicious and honestly some of the best I've ever had. My team members tried the Tom Yum soup and said it was amazing, and the avocado curry was another favorite at the table. Everything we ordered was spot on. It is a little hole in the wall spot with limited parking in the front, but we recently learned there is a parking lot behind the restaurant. If you go through the entrance behind the Chevron gas station beside the restaurant, you can pull right in and it makes parking so much easier. Whether you are local or just passing through, you really should check this place out. Pattaya Thai continues to be our go to whenever we are craving great Thai food. read more

Ordered a seafood dish: Suki Hang that was supposed to be part of a delivery through Grub Hub. I called the restaurant as soon as we opened both dishes and it was clear neither dish was seafood. Called the restaurant, they would not replace unless we brought in, so we got a refund from grub hub. Not the issue, that's their policy. The bad customer service comes from the fact that there was so much background noise I had a difficult time hearing the woman who answered the phone. I could hear in the background what sounded like an older female yelling at the woman who answered. I had to raise my voice to answer questions bc it was so loud and she seemed not to hear what I was saying bc of the argument. The young female snapped at me, mid argument, to "stop raising my voice at her" before I could explain that it was loud and I was trying to speak so she could hear me, she placed me on hold. When she came back she said there was nothing they could do for me and hung up I was NOT expecting so much drama going on or to be scolded for the fact she could not hear me and was too busy with the argument .I called to ask what could be done if anything about the mix up and was met with rudeness and indifference. Cane in to try this place. Not much customers when i cane in possibly because they are closing in an hour. Place is clean and can accommodate about 70 customers. Ambience was good with some thai decor. Parking is limited at front but have sign more parking at the back. Ordered Coconut Shrimp, Shrimp Tempura and they both taste good and moist inside but crispy on the coating.Sizes are bites and if you have a larger group, i recommend to make 3 orders. The mixed veggies was ok same with the combination fried rice. One thing i notice is they served water with straw in it instead of providing a wrapped straws, in which some customers preferred like me. A little pricey when it comes to combination fried rice and the mango sticky rice. Place worth a try for some. read more

It didn't look very safe at night and we didn't know what to expect so we started backing out to leave. When we were on our way out and made a right at the light, we found the front entrance, which was bright and inviting. So we drove in. There are only a few parking spots in the front. We were immediately seated since there weren't many people. The owner is very friendly. Food came out pretty quickly. We ordered pad thai, pad see ew, broccoli beef , papaya salad with shrimp (total of 2 shrimps only with extra charge), and mango sticky rice. 15% service charge added to check. I ordered on line and they substituted my tempura shrimp and gave me coconut shrimp which they could have told me when I was picking it up. ( how would they know I'm allergic to coconut. My wife and I stopped in to this place for lunch today. We have eaten there many times over the years, but it has been a while since our last visit. The place was clean, and the service was good. The food was not nearly as good as I remember it being in the past. Until the check came, I was just OK with it for a quick lunch. Then, I looked at the bill. The receipt stated that a mandatory 15% 'Service Charge' for parties of ONE OR MORE was included, and any questions about that should be directed to the manager. After giving this some thought, I determined that I could not conceive of a party of less than one. So, effectively, everybody gets stuck with a forced tip. I normally tip 18% to 25%, and with smaller bills I tend to leave higher percentages. That said, I was offended by having the 'Service Charge' shoved down my throat. The server ended up getting screwed by her manager's BS policy. We will never return to this restaurant again. This place is in a crappy part of a crappy city, and I suspect that the clientele probably doesn't tip well. I get it. That said, I've always believed that restaurant owners should pay their employees a fair wage, and not low ball them and pass the burden off onto the customers. It's not right. read more

They don't tell you and say there's a sign in the front but the sign says nothing about a service fee. Taking money from customers in a sneaky way. Food is 15% above the menu prices with that fee. Our food came out relatively quick. I ordered the tofu curry. The curry was a little thin but I've never ordered curry at a Thai place so I don't know if that's the norm. I'm used to Indian curry so idk. Anyway the flavor was good. I asked for mild and it wasn't spicy. My mom got something with pork, sorry don't remember what it's called but if u show the server the pic he would probably recognize it. She said it was nice and tender meat and had a good flavor. The portions are just enough to satisfy you. I could do with bigger portions but Thai places usually don't have large servings. Anyway it was good and would like to go back to try other food. Our recent visit had us kinda meh about Pattaya now.. They shouldn't have felt rushed either.. there was still an hour left till close. The pad Thai was super mushy, that the noodles melded together. The wonton soup was funky like it was sweet and a dark brown broth vs. the light broth I've always seen it come with.. , and the insides were a weird bitter pepper flavor. Ive eaten here many times prior to this and it didn't taste like this. The yellow curry was fantastic tho. Loved that.
