Short version: Outstanding auto shop. Highly skilled and very professional. 11/10 stars. Long Version: I have a 1966 Porsche 912 that's been in my family for over 50 years. As long as I can remember, it's always been my dream one day to bring it back to life. When my dad finally transferred title to me, I decided to restore it after it had sat in the garage for 30 years. Knowing how big the project was, I was really picky about where to take it. I came across Jack's German on yelp and after the first phone call, I knew this was the shop. Eight months later I can say with absolute certainty that I couldn't have picked a better team. Apart from being professional and highly skilled, they pulled off a very challenging job. Amongst many things, they swapped out the former 911 engine for a rebuilt 912 engine which included sourcing the engine and retrofitting it into the engine bay since the former was mounted differently. They also rebuilt the transmission, brakes, carbs, etc. They went over the moon to make sure my car was in near perfect condition- both mechanically and cosmetically- before I took her home. No one in my family ever thought we'd see her on the road again, especially looking and driving like this. What also stood out was their honesty. In the auto industry where genuine, honest work is rare, I trusted them with their pricing and recommendations. Also, as someone who doesn't know much about the mechanical side of cars, they always treated me with respect and never spoke down to me and I really appreciated that. This car is priceless to me and they treated her more than just a vehicle- they treated her like family. When you have something this sentimental, you need people who understand what that means to you, and that's who Jack's German is. TL;DR - Jacks is awesome. Bring your German car here for service. Finally came here for the first time after being recommended to them a few years ago for a car I no longer own. Ever since buying my new-to-me Macan a few months ago, I thought the shifting performance was a little disappointing. After getting a 30k service at Jacks this week, the car feels much better. Sure, anybody could've done the same work and I'd be happier with the car. But where Jacks stands out is their customer service (I specifically interacted with Henry and Andrew). I had reached out to three shops, one of which was much closer to my house and also highly recommended. However, Jack's was the most responsive and thorough when trying to figure out what work I needed and getting it scheduled. They also happened to be a little cheeper, which was nice. They called me when the car was ready, which other shops often fail to do (leaving me sitting around all day wondering if the work will be finished on time). Wish they were open a little earlier, but I guess you can't have everything. I'll definitely be back. I first visited Jack's German Auto Service in 2018 and they successfully completed some minor repairs that were triggering a check engine light. Now in 2020, I took my vehicle for a radiator flush and to diagnose another check engine light. After review, he discovered that a valve that his shop replaced in 2018 was perhaps faulty and needed replacement. He honored the part warranty on the valve, and minus the minor upgrade fee for an upgraded valve, I had no additional fees out of pocket. Jack does a terrific job at communicating throughout the day and will keep you updated on the status of your vehicle. He never performed any work unless I authorized it. This eliminated any surprises or hidden fees and I knew what my final cost would be prior to me picking up my vehicle. Jack and his team are honest and very knowledgeable. If he recommends any repairs that need attention while he is under the hood-It's truly because he feels that it's in the best interest of you, your wallet, and your vehicle. Finding a good mechanic is akin to finding a good doctor. I have a 2003 BMW 325i. I have had a regular mechanic for years and I tried another near the office. It was the third try that I found Jack's. They did multiple smaller repairs and advised me on what to do and how to drive, until eventually all my monitors came up I got my car to pass smog. I appreciate the fact that they did not simply do the larger and more expensive repairs first. Jack, Henry and Andrew are all friendly and knowledgeable. I was comfortable dealing with all of them. Highly recommend! I originally called my car dealership where I normally get my car serviced as my check engine light came on. They quickly looked under the hood and said I most likely had an oil leak and would need to bring it in for a diagnostic test around $300 to give me more info and not to drive it too much. The next day the engine light turned off, but I still wanted to get it checked. I called a few other mechanics and a lot of them would not service my car since it's a hybrid (Mercedes s550e) and said they would need special tools to check it. I got in touch with Henry and he took the time to listen to my issue and not try to rush me off the phone like the other mechanics. He was super friendly and extremely knowledgeable, so I immediately could tell he was not BSing me. I took my car in for him to quickly take a look, and he was able to identify the issue right away and also checked other areas that might have triggered my engine light. He was kind enough to explain everything to me, so I understood what was going on. Not only did he take the time to check my car in other areas to make sure everything was good, but he taught me a thing or two about my car and also helped put oil and fluids in my car. I discovered Jack and Henry's auto service shop through yelp, and the first repair experience was great. they really care about your car and give you honest advise. First I went to crevier bmw for harsh shift of my bmw750, they changed the u-joint, and they topped up the transmission fluid, but the shift was still bad, and they blamed the transmission. In jack auto, they fixed the leak, changed the fluid, and now the it was running fine, and they didn't charge me an outrageous fee. I've used Jack's German Auto twice to perform major repairs on my 2007 BMW 530i and had great experience on both occasions! These guys are highly knowledgeable and experienced when it comes to German automobiles! Their prices are reasonable and well below what you would be paying at a BMW dealership. However, if you are really short on $$, you could find cheaper mechanics in the area. But, what you get with Jack's German Auto is peace of mind -- in other words, when you leave your car with them, you will know that you are leaving it in good hands. Just this week, one of my ignition coils went bad and I took my car to some ghetto ass repair shop. The guy gave me an estimate for $475 to replace all spark plugs plus coils. However, the dude didn't even know how to properly work BMW's ignition -- poor guy struggled for one full minute to take the key out . This suggested to me that the guy wasn't familiar with BMWs. So, I made the wise decision to take my car to Jack's, paid $800 and got the problem fixed. My car runs great now and they even gave it a great car wash to boot! Moral of the story: you may pay a little more as compared to other shops in the area, but what you get with Jack's is dealership-level professionalism and experience at non-dealership level prices! I will definitely use these guys in the future for all my auto repair needs and would gladly recommend them to friends and family. read more

Jack always takes the absolute utmost care of my cars. Most shops I go to will do a job and finish without putting all the screws in or they will have broken plastic brackets but never at Jacks.
