The quote immediately raised concerns because it listed two cabin air filters, even though my car only takes one. That is not a minor detail. It is a basic error that should have been caught before handing a customer an estimate. Then came the pricing: $749.81 for parts and $554.40 for labor. I called Audi Norwalk and confirmed I could buy the same parts that same day for $403.09. That is an 86% markup. I also got another quote from Doctor J Automotive across the street for $450 in parts and $600 in labor. At that point, it was obvious the pricing was inflated. What really sealed it was the attitude. When I called Marc to ask about the quote and try to get to a more reasonable number, he rudely asked, "What do you want me to charge then?" After I told him the quote I had received from the competitor across the street, he said he would take my car off the lift and that I could come pick it up. Does this place really need another 5 star review? Absolutely. I got a nail in my tire, and the tire place told me I needed new rotors and brakes, that I had 2mm left and was nearly metal on metal. (They wanted 1100 for new rear pads.) So, I called around and brought it to JP's, on a recommendation from a friend at Chimera Motors. As it turns out, I had 35% left on my brakes. They didn't do the work, and said I'm good, come back after the holidays. I was fully prepared to pay for new brakes! What a Christmas miracle. I couldn't think of a better shop to deal with then this one. I called in to have my new car inspected. This shop is so knowledgeable that they found the motor mounts were compressed out of spec. If that doesn't tell you that these guys have high standard's for there work I don't know what does. They continued to assist me and answer all of my questions over the phone. This time I took 'em a challenge...rear axel bushings needed to be replaced...leaking fluid on the driver side. Parts had to be special ordered. Then the rear axel had to be dismantled, the bushings' removal was like pulling wisdom teeth and the whole thing had to be reassembled. Whew! How long do you think it took? I'll tell ya...3 days...and they had plenty of repair jobs going already. As usual, Marc was equal to the task. The work was flawless, very high quality as well as high value. Gotta give a huge shout out to Marc Monteverde! I came in to the shop because my AC wasn't working properly. With a trip to Palm Springs right around the corner, I had get my AC fixed. I called and spoke with Marc to schedule service and brought the car in at the end of the week. When arriving , Marc explained he will first take a look at my car to determine if service is needed and will also inspect the car for any possible issues.
