The most horrible experience ever. I went to get breakfast on my way to work this morning 7:30am 2/26/26 and I stop at Jack's on North Highland in Jackson TN. First the lady working the window was rude and appeared bothered to wait on me, second, she tells me to park in the first spot in the parking lot to wait for food. The parking lot and line was full of cars waiting for their food. It took 20 minutes for me to get mine and they forgot my coffee and orange juice. The lady says let me go get that then. I waited another 10 minutes!! Finally I just leave because she never came back out. I will never go back to this restaurant and I will inform all those that I know to stay away at all costs. I had never been to Jack's before and I was on a road trip and I always like to try places that I haven't been to so I stopped by. Place was dead, which gave me a little reservation about going and the reviews were kind of mixed. The girl who rang me up was friendly enough but the prices for the portion I got is what was a really good deal. The chicken strips were very good. I would drink them right below Chick-fil-A and Raising Cane's. I also got a burger because it was free when I signed up for the Rewards and the burger was very good. This was my first time eating at this chain of restaurants. I stopped by around noon on a weekend, was greeted promptly, and received polite service. Upon the recommendation of the manager(?), I ordered the Fried Chicken Deluxe Sandwich. It included a breaded chicken filet with mayonnaise, lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles on a hamburger bun. The piping hot sandwich arrived a few minutes later, and it was delicious! The men's restroom was clean. They even had electrical outlets in the booths and I was able to charge my cellphone! I went in to get the $5 cheeseburger meal and I was told it wasn't available but I could get a chicken meal for $5. I told the manager and the counter lady that it was all over the TV and they just looked at me in silence. We left and my wife looked it up online and it was still advertised. I got 2 plain burgers with nothing on both of them, no even cheese, food was cold. 2nd. day, ordered 2 chicken sandwiches & fries, sandwiches had pickles only, sandwiches & fries were cold. 3rd try, ordered 2 two pick chicken dinners. Terrific hand-scooped milkshakes (yes, hand-scooped) This review may be a bit different - but we did not go to Jack's for the food. We went for the Shakes. My wife and I had been told how great the milkshakes are at Jack's. It's true - they are hand-scooped (not a frozen slurpy-type shake) made with real ice-cream. Real ice-cream makes for a better shake, in my opinion. I went the with Chocolate Fudge milkshake, and my wife enjoyed her Strawberry milkshake almost as much as I enjoyed mine. Since we didn't get any burgers, chicken or fries, I cannot comment on those. They did look inviting but we only wanted a shake. I'm not sure how this place has been opened, but my rating is solely for the food. It seems like it's low quality breakfast items that is served on a styrofoam plate. The styrofoam plate is what got me, like they actually do that? Anyway, the food is cheap and sadly, lacks flavor, but will get you full. I ordered the combo that comes with everything and choose spicy chicken as my meat. I was happy that the chicken seemed fresh and wasn't old and soggy. The only thing that I was impressed by was the fact that they served real orange juice and not that watered-down cheap stuff that they serve at McDonalds. The guests that dined with me weren't happy with their food either and probably will not return. Last time my wife went in, man literally stood at the counter for over 15 minutes before someone took his order. We went there on 8/18/2019. Got an order through drive through and they left out the biscuits. Made the 35 minute round trip back to get what was left out. I pulled up to the window and told the person "y'all left out the biscuits from this order". Her reaction was "I just got here so it wasn't me". I clarified that "y'all" meat Jacks. However, tonight there were (besides those cooking) six employees behind the counter. Two of them were working, while the other four spent the entire time I was there (about 20 minutes) playing and laughing. I never saw any of them do anything productive while I was there.
