I'm driving my parents back to MN and they like Jack's. I ordered the Breakfast Burrito with bacon but received sausage instead. Also had some hash rounds and the yummy fried apple pies. These are like McDonalds had in the 80's. The Mardi Gras shake looked interesting. I ordered it to go. It is a vanilla shake with sprinkles and a blueberry moon pie on top. We have really enjoyed having a Jack's in our area and have never had a bad experience. However that changed today when we ordered a Country Fried Steak dinner with the mashed potatoes and gravy & green beans. The green beans was the only thing that was good. The country fried steak was terrible, it first of all was some sort of meat that was thinly sliced, no flavor and a little gravy. It was not country fried steak. The mashed potatoes were not prepared correctly, they were ok just on the top but the bottom was dried mash potatoes, There was just a very small bit of gravy on the potatoes. I don't know what to say other than this was the worst meal we have ever got at this restaurant since it opened in Loxley. read more

Food tastes great, but could be bigger portions. Service time was average, the server with tattoos, dropped 2 orders on the floor while being in a hurry. Nice ambiance, pleasant servers. Kind of expensive for chicken sandwich and fries. More like a restaurant atmosphere than a fast food place. read more

My wife and I are frequent visitors and see noted improvements in service. Wait times have been greatly reduced. It's a great place or a quick quality meal. Our only critique pertains to the order not being prepared as requested. The receipt is correct, outside of charging for cheese, but when it says no mustard and you get lots of mustard, noted disappointment on the expectation. NOTHING SPECIAL! Well we braved the parking lot... And the line... And what we got didn't amaze or even tickle the taste buds... It's a burger... Not a great burger... Not an awful burger... Just kind of gas station two hours after the lunch rush still left over in aluminum foil burger. For what you pay and the crowd you fight to get in the place it's definitely not worth it. You will get the same quality out of Burger King - no joke! If you want a great burger try Hammered Cow in Mobile or Goo-Roo's in Robertsdale. read more

Service is horrible. Arguing between staff and just rude to customers. It's really managed poorly. Waited almost 30 minutes for a 3 piece chicken dinner. We came in on 8/5 and the service here was awful. We were waiting in line and they didn't even bother to check who was next in line. It was supposed to be our turn to order and they took the people behind us. When I said something they said "well it's busy so I just took whoever." The workers were messing around with each other the whole time which made the service so slow. I went up to ask for some onions and 2 of the workers were playing around with the onions and they wouldn't give them to me. I had to ask 2 more times before they finally gave them to me. We had already waited about 30 minutes for our food, so this was really frustrating. The food was good. But not likely to return due to unprofessional service. read more

Very disappointed today. We have been multiple times and usually very satisfied with our experience, but today was really bad. The picture is of what they offered as hamburger steak, it's a couple hamburger patties with gravy, and the chicken fingers we asked for come back sauce and when she handed me the bag I asked to be sure the sauce was in the bag and she confirmed it was in the box. When we get home, no sauce, it was in the ticket taped to bag. Very aggravating after a long day at work. Y'all have done much better, that's all I ask. read more

It was our first visit, and maybe our last. I had chicken and slaw and mashed potatoes with my wife's green beans (she hates vegetables). I thought my food was pretty good. She didn't like her chicken or her spicy mashed potatoes or her strawberry turnover. The biscuits were hard and I had to beg for butter for them. They ran out of Diet Coke! Who runs out of Diet Coke? The wait inside for someone to wait on us was unbelievable! We were the only one in line and it still took 10 minutes to give our orders! Then another 10 minutes to hear our name yelled out! The staff was ok, they just distant to pay much attention to inside the building. They had 4 people working on drive thru! Inside the restaurant was clean, as well as the restroom. IF you have lots of time and don't mind waiting, I would recommend giving Jack's a try. Half of our group liked it quite well. The other half won't be coming back. read more

Heard so much about this place, we tried to come here the other day night but it was busy and the dining room looked like it hadn't been cleaned since they opened, by came back for lunch and still doesn't look clean, had the fish dinner, fries were ok normal crinkle fries from everywhere, the fish was terrible, my wife had the fried chicken she said it was fine, the other thing is it's hard to get in and park only one way in and out, not impressed read more

Have come to Baldwin County from the Birmingham area, we were thrilled to have a Jacks this far south. I have loved their chicken fingers and biscuits at breakfast. I just hope they can maintain the quality I've come to know and love. read more

I ordered two bacon and cheese biscuits with extra bacon. I was charged for bacon, egg, and cheese biscuits. I was also charged for the extra bacon (which was fine). I worked the breakfast shift at a competitor. The customer would not have to pay for the egg. We would have entered a bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit with extra bacon. Then, enter no egg. The customer shouldn't have to pay for something you didn't order. I tried to speak to manager/shift lead but to no avail. Disappointed at this restaurant. Would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. I have tried it on 3 different times and it was terrible, the chicken had know favor taste like stale flour, hamburgers are small and have know taste. If you order online you will wait for and extra 20 minutes when you come to pick up your order because know one knows what's going on. The restaurant was so nasty and everyone was standing around doing nothing. There real know need to say more nothing going to change . I think they should just close, l want ever go back it's minus 5 stars. Please leave you not anything about the south.
