We were floored by the robust flavor of each of the homemade gravies. They have a tomato gravy, a sausage gravy, and a redeye gravy. The texture of the gravy was not too thick and none of them were greasy. We each ate a plate of homemade biscuits and in-house made gravy. Although the biscuits and gravy seem like a small serving, the dish is really an adequate meal. Overall, the flavor of the food and the friendliness of the staff solidified our making this restaurant our breakfast place when we visit Mobile.

I had the cathead chicken biscuit, well half but the second half went down later at home. We split the coffee cake and Mrs scooped up a Creole omelette. Food was everything it could be and more. Oh, I almost forgot the added blueberry jam I put on the coffee cake, and after the ride home the cake soaked up the blueberry jam liquid, OMG let's just say that's how it should be served. All in all a great experience piloted by our capable server and guaranteed with nice size portions of really good food. This is on the rotation now.

It seems that they are cooked in batches early in the day and added to dishes as needed. So I would personally avoid the "jumbo" shrimp dishes. Side note on the shrimp they are the same one that was added to the bloody marry cocktail. I think the biggest hang-up is the price to quality ratio. If you are in the area and want an eggs benedict you may want to give them a try. For me however I think there are better options to get full in the area.
