    Boneless Ribeye
    George M.

Review: Jack's Restaurant and Bar - A Tale of Two Temperatures If you're looking for a spot in Falmouth where the vibes are high but the Celsius is... conservative, Jack's Restaurant and Bar is your destination. I went in with high hopes and a healthy appetite. Here's the breakdown of our culinary "Goldilocks" experience--except nothing was actually hot. The Order The Boneless Ribeye: This steak was seasoned to perfection and tender enough to make a grown man cry. It had the soul of a five-star meal, but the temperature of a brisk October morning on Old Silver Beach. I'm convinced the chef cooked it beautifully and then gave it a pep talk in a room-temperature hallway for ten minutes before sending it out. The Scallops: My companion's scallops were seared wonderfully. They looked like little pillows of heaven. Unfortunately, they were also roughly the same temperature as actual pillows. Delicious? Yes. Did they require a scarf? Possibly. The "Lukewarm" Mystery It's honestly an impressive feat of physics. To have a crust that crisp on a ribeye and a sear that golden on a scallop, yet have both arrive with the thermal energy of a glass of tap water, defies the laws of thermodynamics. Pro Tip: If you're the type of person who always burns their tongue on the first bite, Jack's is your safe haven. You can dive in with the reckless abandon of a seagull hitting a discarded fry. The Verdict The food at Jack's is legitimately tasty. The flavors are 10/10, the bar scene is lively, and the service is friendly. We didn't even send it back because, frankly, we were too busy enjoying the flavor to care about the lack of steam. It's the only place I've been where the "warm" welcome applies to the steak, too. Final Score: (Four stars--would have been five, but I had to check my ribeye for a pulse to see if it was hibernating.)

The chicken parm and pizza are our favorites. The cocktails are plentiful and served by a wonderful staff. Jack is a great guy! You may even be luck enough to catch him sing a tune or two when there is entertainment. Always a great time!

We were visiting the area and as always were looking on Yelp for a place for dinner on a Friday evening. Thought we'd try Jack's Restaurant. Made a good choice. Nice clean friendly restaurant. Looks small from outside but it's big inside, We ordered the crab cakes, lobster bisque n beet salad as appetizers which were all v good. For entrees had the seafood trinity, seafood casserole , egg plant n chicken parm and steak tips. They were all delicious n the right size. Plates were all cleaned. To top it off we had the cannolis, chocolate lava cake and blonde brownie. Oh my the deserts were heavenly . Tx u 4 a great meal.

First time at Jacks and I don't know why I didn't come here sooner. It was date night and my partner knows I like options, so Jacks was the spot. There are plenty items on the menu. We started with the Mediterranean sampler then had the Hatch Mac and ended with the Katarina salad with salmon. OMG it was ALL so good. The best part was our waiter Mac who was friendly, attentive, and gave personal recommendations. Can't wait to come back.

I came to Jack's with family and loved the food and the vibes. We had stuffed quahogs as appetizers and I had the chicken piccata as my main. The quahog was tasty but the pasta was the star IMO. The chicken was tender and flavorful, while the sauce was savory with just the right amount of tartness. My family got the pizzas and loved what they got. The drinks here are also strong and delicious. Overall a great spot for get-togethers!

This place used to be decent but has been going downhill consistently. Uncooked pizza that looks like a 3 year old made.. never again. Paul's pizza will always be better.

Great evening and a new find for my husband and I We started with the soup and stuffed clam Both appetizers were very tasty. I got the eggplant and my husband got the seafood medley I had enough to feed four on my plate and my husband ate all of his but that portion also was a big one We would go again Jackie S

We enjoyed Jack's pepperoni pizza. The place has a local, friendly vibe. Easy pick-up for ordering to go.

We were so excited when we arrived, however that quickly changed to disappointment. What used to feel so cute and cozy, now feels so cold, plain, and nothing special. The bar area is really cute but that's about it. The food was fantastic and cooked to perfection. The young man that was our server was wonderful, but the new atmosphere is not at all what it used to be. Sometimes not everything needs to be changed all the time. This new owner should have thought about that before making such drastic changes, especially in a small town where people have their favorite places, even if they are only hear in the summer. I miss Simply Devine. Also, one quick question, why do they close so early in the summer on Main Street?

The place is pretty big, but they don't blast the music. The seating is clean and comfortable, and is spaced a bit - but not like back in the COVID days. Clean too. From the onset, seems like a townie pizza house. In actuality, they serve some great dishes while not complex they are a bit more sophisticated. I had the Chicken Madeira, and it was fantastic. My bride had the pan seared salmon, which was prepared perfectly with a lemon sauce, delicate mashed potatoes, and broccoli. Prices are very reasonable too. Parking... you know the score, it's downtown Falmouth. Hint: park by the library. A nice surprise, compared to the stuffy fancy-pants restaurants with their hour long wait. I'd say the Simply Divine is a hidden gem in downtown Falmouth. No negatives whatsoever.

We started with the chips & salsa and I added the queso, and we added the street corn. We both ordered the birria quesadilla My wife had chicken and I had beef. I'm not a fan of "Mexican food" places mostly because they tend to be generic. Not here. There's a lot of creativity in their dishes and they take advantage of the availability of local seafood, which makes for some delicious dishes. Even their apps. My daughter (almost 20) can't get enough of their queso dip. The lobster bisque was also spot on. Honestly, it might be the best bisque I've ever had. They add corn and spices to it and it's soooooo good! My standout dish was the lobster enchilada. Wow! Service was also very good, despite being very busy. And it's a beautiful restaurant. So, the dessert. I'm a huge flan snob. And any time I go to a Latin restaurant, I usually try their flans. After the amazing dinner we had, I assumed their flan would blow me away. However, it was hands down the worst I've ever had. It was dense and dry, almost like a cheesecake, but without the flavor. There's no way it was made fresh, that's for sure. It was honestly disgusting and I couldn't take more than a couple of bites. If I hadn't taken it to go (we were so full after dinner), I would have said something. But, frankly, that ending to our meal was so disappointing. I hope they remove it or fix the issue. A place like this should have extraordinary desserts.
