Great staff, interesting clientele It is what it is, a dive bar in a strip mall behind Walmart (kind of). But maybe it is a bit more, as the simple location and decor hide the fine quality of the food and beverage served here. It really is a great place to eat and drink, no disappointments. This is a true dive bar. I wasn't expecting the food to taste as good as it did. Ambience is a true dive bar. I'll give you a five for that. The food was superb. I had the traditional fish and chips. But the fish was breaded with almonds and cornflakes. It was extremely crunchy and extremely good. I will definitely come back to this place again. The beer was good too. Service was just as good. For starters, you know the chowder is good when they offer it in a quart size, what a delicious bite! I could sit down and eat this all day long if it was in front of me. The only thing that would have made the burger is to order it as a double! I don't ever think to do it but this is a place to give it a go if you can put it down. The fries and stacked high, thick cut, and properly seasoned! Great portion! Bummed that there is no dessert here but gives me an opportunity to yelp elsewhere! The establishment is as advertised; decor on every inch of wall space, entertainment, and 90's mtv music to help set the vibe. Well worth a trip in if you are craving a chowder and burger. I was looking for food apparently after 9pm is considered late-night! This place is divey for sure, but it was full and folks looked somewhat happy, and i was hungry. I walked through a cloud of smoke and i thought for a minute smoking was allowed inside but it must have been the folks hanging outside. I spotted a menu and perched at a seat near the door at a large community table and looked at the sticky menu. A man who was drinking nearby and wandering back and forth between the bar and a high-top came and stood right next to me in my personal space and started playing some game, throwing something on a string that would come back to him... it almost hit me in the head! I stood up to try to order and was greeted by a friendly waitress, and guided to an open seat at the bar as all the tables were full. I ordered a bar pie. There is kino and a game was on. When i checked-in Yelp i was offered a free sticker but they were out. I ordered a wine and was given the last of the bottle - about half a glass. By the time my pie was ready a table had opened up so i moved away from the bar commotion. The pizza was good enough, sauce on the sweet side and just enough cheese. I'm not sure about the ground "beef" as it had a porky smell but it could have been the oil as they cook linguica there as well. Not sure i would eat there again but if you're looking for a local divey experience you will not be disappointed! read more

Hubs wanted some fish and chips while we're visiting the Cape, and we read the amazing reviews on Yelp, so we just had to try! So happy we did...that may have been the best fish and chips he's ever had. I'm not sure what kind of breading that was but it was delicious! And such a unique texture! A very generous piece of very fresh fish. I ordered a BLT with fries, and probably should've ordered something more interesting since the menu was pretty diverse. We are on holiday, so I was worried about not being to finish my dinner...so I ordered something small. The sandwich was okay...but what was lacking in the sandwich was made up for in the fries. Wow...our order must've come straight from the fryer straight to us because the fries were super hot! Delicious flavor, perfectly fried and yes, we both finished our plates. On a little road trip through the area and my friend had a craving for a lobster roll. Definitely is a dive bar setting, big TVs for the games. My friend opted for the smallah lobster roll which was a good decision because it was still a very large portion of lobster. Comes with fries which we love this version. I had the lobster grilled cheese which had delicious buttery grilled bread and a perfect amount of melted cheese. There was a good amount of lobster meat, I just wish that it was cut up a bit more for single bites. It's tough to eat a sandwich with such giant chunks of the meat that come out all at once. This is place is a rough diamond, and intentionally. It's a local spot and I loved everything about it. I sat at the bar and got amazing service, as well as a great of conversation with a local gentleman about the book he was reading. I couldn't have asked for a better stop at for my rainy afternoon. Cute decor for a hole in the wall, and a great play on words with the name "dive bar." ‍ I only had the stuffed quahog, and it came out hot, crispy and in a shell. I was pleased. It was tasty! I've been coming to the Cape for 44 years and only recently discovered QR Dive Bar. It's been 5 years now and it's still one of our favorite places. The drinks are fun- The Boat Drink and The Shark Bite, and a great Bloody Mary. It's always hard to choose from the menu, but the lobster grilled cheese is filled with huge chunks of lobster and gooey- cheese goodness. I tried to be good this year and hv a side salad instead of their awesome onion rings, and the balsamic dressing was tangy and wonderful. The lobster roll is full of fresh chunks of lobster with a touch of mayo and clarified butter. I hate over- mayo seafood and this was perfect. The spicy quahog lives up to its name with a crunchy texture and just the fight amount of spice. The chowder is thick and creamy, could use less potatoes and more clams, but fresh-from-the-sea flavor. Anyone who has had a bad experience must have been there on an off day. It's a dive bar, it's in a strip mall. There is no water view folks, but the food is worth it! Service is friendly and prompt. read more

Not only do they have excellent...and I mean EXCELLENT bartenders HEY Casey and Katlyn I am taking about you! But they have fantastic food. Fun night out. Super friendly service. Great menu selection for food and drinks. I had delicious sangria with a cup of the tasty quahog chowder and the truly monster lobster roll and my husband enjoyed the bar pizza. We were both very pleased with the food, nut must note the monster lobster roll was $74. They had a DJ tonight and bands other nights. They have an adjacent game room. Grabbed takeout last night. Everything from their seafood to comfort food dishes is of quality and creativeness. Chowder was amazing. One of the best burgers in town. Definitely the best pair of buns in town for a burger. Perfectly buttered and toasted Although I do the miss charm of the old Dive Bar it still by far the best spot in town to get together for a drink and bite, and Falmouth has a handful. Keno is all you need. Can't wait for them to open to dine in once this covid pandemic is over. Comfort at its best. Great beer selection and mai tais. I forget if they added a arcade game.
