It pains me to have to write this review, but I feel I would be remiss if I do not. I have been bringing my car to Jack's since 2017, with mostly positive experience. Aside from their archaic bookkeeping and scheduling method, these past few years of service have left me questioning. Let me start with the most recent issue. I brought my 2005 vehicle in for maintenance November 2024 and ended up with a considerable degree of rear tire/breaks/lines work amounting to almost $900. This past Wednesday (March 5, 2025), while driving to the east side of Michigan for a visit, I was almost to my destination when I heard a loud bang or pop and thought I lost a piece of my car; followed by loud piercing whistle and then the smell of burning rubber. I slowed and eased over off the road to find a flat rear passenger tire. Towed to Belle Tire to find out the entire back frame was rusted through. It jutted out and caused a rubbing against the tire, which finally blew. The gentleman who inspected the tire couldn't believe the outcome wasn't worse. When I mentioned the work back in November, he was shocked the condition of the frame did not alarm anyone and said they (Belle) could not, with good conscious, replace the tire to let me drive off when the outcome could be so very dangerous and not end well. Wouldn't you think that this degree of corrosion would have been noticeable back in November? Sadly, I will not be returning to Jack's for service on any future vehicles. read more

Honorable prices, honest work, and knowledgeable. Highly recommend them. I've taken trucks, cars, and vans here over the past three years. I've never been disappointed. Also, I saw the mechanic from my old work place here one day getting something fixed. That's sayin something. read more

I heard good reviews about this place from my apartment leasing manager and took my 2001 Ford taurus here for full service oil change. The lady at the counter (the wife of the owner) is nice and the owner is nice too. However after doing the full service oil change, a week later one of my friends who was taking a ride with me pointed out that the engine heat level is near "H" (hot) and we took it to the nearest mechanic and found that ther was no coolant in the car !! And he checked for leaks but there werent any? So what exactly was done at the full service oil change? I would never go back there, although the people are well behaved and nice at Jack's. read more

My dad and I have been going to Jack's since I was a kid and now as an adult, I bring my truck to Jack's Service Center too. The staff is really educated and can do pretty much anything I've ever needed help with. I appreciate the staffs clear communication and explanation of what needs to be done. I would rate lower than 1 star if possible. I came here because my car randomly died one morning and I paid $100 for them to tell me nothing was wrong... I get my car back and I'm driving the next day and my car is basically falling apart. Over heating, transmission slipping, brakes giving out. SO, I bring it back to them, tell them how ridiculous it is that this happened, and they assure me they will figure it out. The next day they call and have a list of about 6 things wrong with it. This left me to wonder what exactly they did with the "hour" they spent on it previously when they charged me $100. Anyways, they tell me there's a leak in my coolant, that 3 ball joints needed to be replaced, and a control arm needed replacing for a total of $900. I tell them to just fix the leak and replace the ball joints and leave the control arm "broken". Since I had felt I had been done a disservice I no longer wanted to bring my car here; I brought my car to a shop of someone I know, and they kindly let me know that NONE of the ball joints had been replaced and that the control arm WASN'T broken. I go ahead and check the receipt from Jacks Service Center, and sure enough there is no list of parts used to even fix a ball joint. These people left my car in worse shape than before I brought it there TWICE. I will never come here or recommend them. Go to someone you trust and that is not just trying to make money off of you!!! read more

Not satisfied with reply from Jack's regarding my two reviews. Jacks wanted over $500. for repairs I did not even need, according to Lentz, where I did bring the car. I needed brakes and that was not even on Jack's estimate. Jack replied that they use high quality parts which had nothing at all to do with my problem there. Plus, my car is a 2001, how high quality does one need for that old of a car? And, for what? I did not need one thing on his estimate. and he wanted me to pay $20. just for the estimate!!! And, when confronting Jack with all this, all he does is insist he is honest because he is a Christian, and that is why we should pay him for an estimate. And, his wife shot dirty looks at me the whole time! Also, I asked for an estimate on an engine noise, and it was not even on the $20. estimate he gave for over &500. for nothing the car needed. And, I had several issues before I did not need that he said was required. read more
