So glad Jacks Shack has expanded from a food truck even though that was excellent too. We stopped for lunch at the new place and I had the best portobello sandwich I've ever had. The selection of local and healthful groceries is also a great idea especially up on the point so you don't have to go into town. The compostable takeout containers are reason enough to patronize this spot! But now with dinner several nights a week, Jacks takes on another whole feeling. With an terrific eclectic menu with lots of veggie options everyone will be happy here. And the ambiance is just right, cozy, casual, special, hip all rolled into one. Presentation and ingredient quality are top notch. We wished we'd eaten here every night! read more

Wish I could give Jack's Shack more than 5 stars... Their fish tacos are just too good, feel good in the tummy and are full of flavor. The best fish tacos I've had in Puerto Rico for sure. Their iced tea and fresh watermelon juice are also a must if you come eat here! Love how they are environmentally friendly and use papaya tree straws! Awesome! Wait! Don't drive by! You owe it to yourself to check out this unusual eatery. It might not look like much (and that's because there actually isn't much to it) but our first lunch in Puerto Rico and I think this is going to be our 'go to' spot. Best fish tacos in Rincon. I was hoping to find a tasty fish taco in town but had been disappointed up until today. A great combo of ingredients and perfectly grilled fish made for a perfect lunch. The chocolate chip cookie for dessert made Jack's deserving of sixth star but I guess five will have to do. read more

Fish Tacos! These fish tacos are seriously good. The homemade hot sauce puts it over the top. We also loved the breakfast wrap, iced chai with homemade almond milk, the green & the mango kombucha, watermelon juice, vegan cookies, power bars, basically everything is great here and the service is very friendly. But what you should really care about are the food and service, which are both terrific. Yummy fish tacos, delicious huevos rancheros and the best darn vegan cookie there is. This place was great! We had trouble finding it, but the location is about .5 miles south of where Apple maps takes you. It's just south of Marias beach next to a yellow bar. We got the fish tacos and they were aaaammaaazing! Best fish tacos we've had yet. Also tried their gluten free banana bread and it was surprisingly delicious. read more

I visited Rincon last week with my girlfriend and 2 out of 5 days we ate lunch at Jack's. The veggie burger was so delicious! We both ordered the veggie burger each time. The quinoa salad was great too, with fresh fruit. We got a vegan cookie to go and it went perfect with our PR coffee the next day. Nice people and nice sitting area that overlooks the surfers on the beach. I would definitely go back. Recommended to all vegans looking for a yummy lunch! read more

We ate here twice during our six day stay in Rincon over the holidays. Everything we had was fantastic. Fresh and tasty! We had veggie burgers, chicken burritos, veggie burritos, fish tacos, shrimp tacos, egg burrito (for my son the picky eater). We bought chocolate chip cookies to go both days but the second time I bought a few more to have later! They are awesome! We also sampled smoothies and iced coffees. Great vegan options!! We tried the veggie burger and veggie burrito and both were delicious. Also watermelon juice hit the spot on a hot sunny day. Very helpful and friendly service. Only (minor) complaint is that the hot sauces had no heat to them. Food was good enough not to need it but it's always nice to have the option of a good hot sauce! Also the vegan cookie- so good we had to get an extra to take home. We can't wait to visit again! read more

Good food with awesome vibes. All organic, not as flavorful as expected. But overall it a little bit above average for been a food truck. There are not a lot of tables which you should take into consideration when eating here. The staff was very friendly and food came really fast and I mean really fast. I live across the street from where they park the food cart at night, and I see large rats running back and forth to the food cart literally every single night. It's disgusting. So good we came back for lunch and had fish tacos and a large vegetable burrito. We bought several chocolate chip cookies to take back to our room. Check this place out, you won't be disappointed! I think this is the best veggie burger I've had, or at least one of the best. We were really craving something fresh and healthy, and this hit the spot. Also, I am vegetarian/pescatarian and we had just come from San Juan/Ponce, where it was harder to find meat-free dishes, so Jack's Shack was a welcome change. Prices comparable to other food stands in PR ($7 for burger, $6 for quinoa salad). Owner (not named Jack) very nice. When we went, it was cash only. That might change in the near future, but have some cash on you just in case. read more
