The staff at this Jackson Cafe the absolute sweetest. While I was waiting for my sandwiches to be made the staff was chatting me up and making me feel welcomed. SURELY A chid of twelve could look at the layout of the store and come up with something more convenient for the dozens of people who have to mill around their vaguely-marked store while waiting for their food? 1) There are two cash registers, each staffed arbitrarily at any point in the day. If you think you're next in line at one register, think again because that staffer will just move around randomly. They say the second register is for phone/web orders but AFAIK they haven't enabled that yet. TIP: remove the register that's directly facing the door to cut down on confusion. 2) Order Forms: The order forms are oh-so-conveniently placed right in front of one of the registers. During the lunch rush, you have to shove your way through two lines of waiting customers just go create your order. Then, if you're like 80% of people, you fill out your order right there at the counter because who cares if anyone else is hungry? TIP: place order forms and pens near entrance. I usually bounce between customer sandwich and custom salad. Really quality meat and veggie ingredients, including boar's head meat. The cutest cafe! I love that the options are endless in customizing your own sandwich and everything is fresh! I've had the tuna melt (got it 4 times in a row because it's so good!) and caprese sandwich (added sundried tomatoes- delicious!) so far and they were both fantastic! This place has gone so downhill since it opened... well it opened horribly too but they finally got some quality staff for a while but hey are all gone now! The service is an absolute nightmare... but the worst part is they don't even care because they basically have a monopoly on lunch for the building and have kicked out all of the food trucks that used to come! Bring back the food trucks so you will actually have to compete for business and serve people well. They are constantly out of stock on items. When they actually do carry something worthwhile it never returns. On top of it to call yourself a cafe where your employees don't even know how to make a latte. The problems obviously start from the top as well because I've seen the owners in there and stood there for 10 minutes before even being asked if I would like something. They also can't keep consistent hours, they will randomly be closed at 3 in the afternoon on a weekday. Please do not patronize this business and let's get back the food trucks! read more

I got food poisoning from drinking their Ice Coffee this week. I'm still sick with yellow diarrhea, chills, stomach aches, fever, fatigue, migraine. The Latin lady handled the money from the other customers and then got the cold coffee from under the cabinet and ice from the ice bin. She didn't wash her hands in between handling all that money, so she probably doesn't wash after using the restroom. I started feeling pain in my stomach 15 minutes into drinking this coffee and it's been over two days and I'm still suffering. I hope they didn't pass on the Mexican virus or hepatitis to me.
