I've been a customer of Jackson Home Appliance for 25+years. I have nothing but very positive things to say about their customer service. They're exceptionally pleasant to deal with and responsive to customers needs. I have used Jackson Home Appliance for repairs on gas stoves, dishwashers, refrigerators etc. They cover it all! Even when the issue cannot be fixed the same day they will try to leave you in a situation where you can continue to use the appliance until the full repair can be completed when parts arrive. The repair person that showed up today even asked if there was anything else they could take a look at while they were here. Nothing but great things to say about service received over the years. Our furnace stopped working sometime yesterday afternoon and I called about 6 pm. Jackson had a service tech over in about half an hour and he was able to replace the igniter and get it working again quickly. Terrific prompt service by Merlin. I called in on Christmas morning with no heat and 58 degrees. He had 4 appts ahead of me but diagnosed the problem with a couple questions and then walked me thru a simple process to clean off a small sensor. Got me up and running on Christmas morning. Shane kept us updated on the time frame of arrival, he was super nice, knowledgeable, efficient and I highly recommend requesting him if you need repairs or maintenance. I was extremely impressed with the service and price. I got 5 bids to replace our furnace and cooling unit. Jackson came in $2000 to $3000 less than the top 2 highest bids and they included more product. The other companies had sales reps come out, giving long presentations. I called Jackson and he emailed a quote in less than 10 minutes. I was kind of skeptical because of the price difference and not seeing the layout our our home. I have called Jackson Appliance twice. Once for an oven repair. Which was $300 for a new electronics board and heating element because the tech said it's impossible to tell which one is causing the problem. Replace both was his fix for the issue. So we did. To his credit, it's 2 years later and still working well. Then this week I called to schedule a repair for my washer that won't agitate. The lady on the phone says tomorrow is the soonest and that the tech will call in the morning to set the time. So I have to take the entire day off of work because they won't give me a time frame the evening before?? Ok... Then I get a call the next morning... Ooops, they're overbooked... How about tomorrow instead? So now I have to take 2 days off work?? They didn't know they were overbooked last night? What a horrible way to run a business. Completely unreliable. The woman on the phone only had an insincere "Sorry". No offer to knock off a few bucks for the repair for their mistake. No thanks, lady. I'll take my business elsewhere. read more

Had a service Tech out this morning 06/25/2021 for AC inspection. Having been in the business in my younger days most of the checks on his check sheet were not done, there were no numbers such motor/comp amp draws, sub cooling, etc. because the checks were not done. He was here for 25 min and was told by the office it's a two hour inspection, which would be the appropriate time frame for what they advertised that they do. He did not wear a mask and or social distance as I had requested due to respiratory issue. I did call tJackson HVAC shortly after the Technician Left to express my concerns and do feel I should not have to pay for this service. I do hope the company can address this issue by giving a refund or sending out a good technician to complete the checks. read more

I have Jackson inspect my HAVC system every year. Their techs are polite, professional, and do great work. It seems like a family type company where they will work with you. This summer I thought I would need to replace my AC unit. Rather than costing me $5,000 for a new one they made repairs and said I should get another 3 to 5 years out of my 34 year old AC. I have been a loyal customer for YEARS; however, this is no longer true. I was charged $96 for a 10 minute visit. I "assumed" (my mistake) That a service call would be more in the $70 range. (Yes, I should have asked, but they didn't offer the information.) When I stated my concern to my tech, (who was very gracious) his statement was that $65 got the tech to the door. Lesson learned. I called to talk to the manager, as of 2 days later, she has NOT CALLED BACK. SO MUCH FOR LOYALTY. The good news is that I found the part on Amazon. read more

This company not only is unprofessional on the phone, but also doesn't back their work or parts that they use. I was told on the phone that the heating element only has a 90 day warranty. I had this replaced back in October 2018. Just yesterday, guess what broke down again? That's right the heating element. The woman who answered the phone was far from helpful and couldn't care less when she found out the 90 days expired. She also said 90 days is industry standard, which I have come to find out is not correct! read more

STOP AND RETHINK! The tech came out several times to fix the ice maker. The "manager" pretended to be the manager and told me to stay home 8 hours to wait for the tech-cuz could not possible schedule morning or afternoon . Our A/C went out a week before our wedding, so I was a little on edge, I called Jackson Appliance and they had a guy out to my house 20 minutes later. We needed a new system, they called me to let me know the price (which was about 1/2 what another company quoted me) and they did the installation the next day. I contacted Jackson Home Appliance Heating & Cooling to do a warranty repair on my Electrolux over the range microwave. I was given 3 choices by Electrolux of appliance repair companies in town. WRONG CHOICE!!!!!! The technician called me to find out what the problem was, and said he would order parts. A few days later he called to set up repair time. Everything good so far. He shows up for the repair and the first thing he asks is if I had a stepladder so he could unplug the unit in the overhead cabinet and remove the screws holding it in place. AND THEN asked me if I had a blanket or something to protect my glass top stove. I freaking lost it. He told me if I was unhappy I could have called some other company. After installing the new circuit board and sensor it still didn't work. He said he would reorder the part and expedite shipping. I called 3 days later and the other ratings are correct. The woman who answers the phone is extremely rude. She said Brandon called but we weren't home. I said I have voicemail on all my phones. And she yeah so. I told her all I wanted to know was if the part was in. And she said I should have asked that. read more

I had an excellent experience with Jackson Appliance repair when my top load Kenmore washing machine needed repair. I had no trouble getting an appointment scheduled quickly and the tech arrived right on time and was incredibly helpful both in fixing the machine and in explaining to me exactly what was wrong and how to help better maintain both my washer and dryer into the future. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Jackson Appliance, and have done so many times, if you need appliance repair. My parents also use them and have been very happy over the years as well. read more

The people who answer the phones are rude. Every single time we call them a guy named Jeremy calls and whines and asks why our maintenance guy can't fix it. Our refrigerator wasn't cooling properly and I've had good luck getting repairmen from Jackson before. This time, the luck ran out. Brandon determined the gasket sealing the refrigerator door was at fault, allowing cool air to escape. He suggested he would research the subject and see if there was a fix. He called the next day to say there wasn't. We knew the seal wasn't tight but couldn't believe the leak was the full cause of the loss of cool air. So we called All Appliance and they sent out Steven. He said we did indeed have a door problem, but the door problem also caused an ice problem which was choking off some vents. He cleared the vents, took off the refrigerator door, put in a shim, and replaced the door which now seals tightly. Steven's bill was 1/3 more than Brandon's, but Steven fixed the problem; Brandon just collected a fee. read more

Recently I witnessed one of Jackson's HAH&C (JHAH&C) drivers/techs speeding and driving erratically on N. 90th. He had to slam on the brakes to avoid plunging into the back of a car moving into the left turn lane. I pulled to the side and confronted the driver, asking why he was driving so erratically. He looked "wired" as he began swearing at me profusely. I told him to watch his mouth--that I would not be disrespected by him. I reminded him that he's supposed to represent the company he works for and think about its brand. Needless to say, that conversation ended poorly. I later called JHAH&C a few times to report the matter--but no one returned my call. My last conversation was with Barb, who asked me what happened. I relayed the story and asked to speak to the owner, Mr. Claborn. Barb angrily replied, "Mr. Claborn has no time for this and he doesn't want to hear it! My driver said someone hit him, so YOU'RE not telling the truth!" Bad manners, foul, blame-shifters, unable to accept feedback and unwilling to properly demonstrate behaviors that would draw new customers...that's the makeup of JHAH&C. It would be in their best interest to go back to the drawing board and find ways to retool how they do business and treat people. read more

As a local Realtor in the Omaha area I will NOT be recommending this company to anyone, and be sure to let clients and fellow co workers know to not use Jackson. I recently needed my AC serviced, and possibly repaired. I called around for rates and found Jackson to be the most reasonably priced and willing to work with my schedule. They scheduled an after hrs appointment on a Friday, only to not show up or call me. I then called on the following Monday and rescheduled for them to come out the following Friday. They verbally stated I would have priority since they no called/no showed previously. On the day of the appointment Josh called me and asked to reschedule claiming they were too busy. I voiced my concern stating that the lady who scheduled my appointment promised I would not get rescheduled again. But I did allow him to come out the next day. The morning of the appointment came and Josh called me 35 min after my appointment time when I was just getting ready to leave for work. He claimed that the previous appointment ran late, to which I know what not the fact, bc when he scheduled the appointment with me the day prior he mentioned that he would have to get up early to make that 8:30 appointment time. He also sounded like he just woke up when he called. I'm thankful that this is not the middle of summer with the heat and that I hopefully have time to call someone more reliable to come out and simply service my AC. read more

Unethical. Gave us a quote for an appliance repair of between $225 and $250. Showed up for scheduled repair, never mentioned a price change from quote, made repairs and gave us a bill for $404. Said the parts cost more than expected. They knew the actual part cost more than the entire quote before they performed the work and added labor, never said a word.,, read more

Jackson put an new ac/furnace in my mother's home in 2012. Had them out repeatedly to add Freon. There was a slow leak that evidently they could not fix. This year my mother's ac unit was not working again and called because was sure it was the Freon issue. Called Friday morning was told they were booked and was led to believe they would be out Saturday. Did not show or follow up. Called Saturday afternoon got phone service and was told someone would call. They did not. Called the final time Saturday evening and asked them to at least let us know when or if they would come. Was told that someone would call me shortly to give us expected ETA. That call came Tuesday morning! Every call made to Jackson I explained that my mother was elderly with breathing issues and COPD. Evidently that means nothing to Jackson Home Appliance. I could never recommend a company that can not fix their equipment, contact customers, or a company that shows so little concern for our elderly. read more

I was refered to Jackson for a warranty repair. The technician said it would take three days to get the part, and he would need extra help to move the appliance. Three days later, I called about the repair and was told it would take seven days to get the part. So, no working refrigerator and since it was December, I was storing food in my car. Checked again on the part and was told it was still back ordered, and it would be even longer. After almost three weeks,I was told the part was in, and since my appliance was on a platform, they were sending two technicians to move it. The next day, the technician shows up but said the other guy is behind, and he's going to lunch and wait on him. He then calls me about an hour later to say the repair may not happen today because the other guy is still behind. I have been without a refrigerator for three weeks, and now I need to continue waiting? I spoke to Jackson, and now they tell me I would need to "hire somebody" to move the refrigerator to do the repair. Really? Are you kidding me? Why was I never told this? After putting me on hold, she comes back with we will send two techs, but it's going to cost you $60.00. This is the worst experience I have ever had with any repair company. Jackson was clearly holding me hostage to pay under duress for the repair aware that I had NO options and had been without a refrigerator for weeks. Never again will I deal with Jackson Home Appliance Heating and Cooling. read more
