I can't give half stars so I rounded up. It's a solid 4.5. First you walk in and the menu is on the wall. Recommend studying the menu on here as the choices on the wall don't give the ingredients. The guy behind the cashier was friendly and listened. Sometimes hard when there is a language difference but not here. Ordered the pork marinade burrito and chips and queso for the wife and I had the chipotle wings and chicken burrito. We sat down and they bring it to you. The chips were good and the queso was ok. This is where the half star deduction comes. It was too runny and not very flavorful. We added some tapatio which made it much better. The wings arrived and looked awesome. They were crisp and tender and what made my mouth sing was the chipotle sauce. Wow. I wanted to put that on all my food. The burritos were great and very filling. We went to the newly opened burrito express on 41st street yesterday. It was not very good and the table was sticky. My husband loves the restaurant on 12th but said this was so different. They overcharged us as we recalculated on a to go order just to see. The beans and rice were good but the enchiladas were the worst I've ever tasted. My husband had tacos and said they were okay. My daughter liked her smothered burrito but with a $55 bill for lunch for 3. I will not go here again. read more

Wow that was the best Birria taco's and consume I think i have ever had!! My wife had the Taco Salad with carne asada and there was not one fork full that she took that was not chock full of meat! And the homemade flour tortilla bowl melted in your mouth after the salad was consumed. We were served 3 types of hot sauce and each had a different distinctive flavor that was different and delicious unto itself. Our server Rebecca was so sweet and kind she made sure we lacked absolutely nothing and helped us with our terrible Spanish as we tried to order in the restaurant's language. She was very accommodating and attentive to all our needs. We also had a chocolate cake for dessert and oh my goodness it was the perfect end to a marvelous dinner!! We went to the 41st Street Jacky's Express to try it out. We love the one on West 12th. Wished we would have gone to the West 12th one. The service was terrible. Our food came quickly and it was nice and hot, but it went down from there. I had the Shrimp Wet Burrito, my favorite usually. It wasn't at all like it had been when Jacky's downtown was open. The cheese sauce was awful, tasted like out of a can. The filling in the burrito was mediocre at best. My husband had the special - Jacky's Burrito. It was so bad he said he'll never go back to the 41st Street location again. No flavor, the burrito was "slimy", and the green sauce was terrible. In addition, they ran out of forks by the silverware. He asked for one and never got one. Finally he just used a spoon and knife. About 15 minutes after he asked they finally put out some plastic forks. They basically are using all the things that Fuddruckers left behind. Did no decorating inside at all, so there is really no ambiance. We would not recommend the 41st Street location at all!! Go to the West 12th Street one - it's excellent! read more

This is my second time going to Jacky's and I am thoroughly impressed with the service and quality of food that they offer. I love the Birria tacos with the cilantro and the onions along side the consume beef broth they offer with them. I also ordered a breakfast burrito alongside my birria tacos again this time around, my first one was steak and this time I got one with chicken instead and wow they taste great and the hefty amount of egg and hashbrown added with just a little bit of beans makes for a very filling burrito. Super tasty, enjoy this type of breakfast burrito much more than Gilberto's or taco johns of the sort. The only thing I experienced that could be better is there could certainly be more than one register/order placement option, as the venue in the front door area is small for people to gather and wait in line to order considering it seems this place is very poular amongst the locals; Yet, you can actually order online or call in a pick up order over the phone to eliminate the waiting process if you don't like waiting which is why it's not that big of an issue for me but I figured it's worth mentioning since it can either be packed when you walk in, or only one person in front of you in line when you walk in and it doesn't appear busy but others can flood in right after you making it feel crowded quickly, although that's just for the entrance, they do have a large dining area so you don't have to wait in the front but if you are waiting to order that is something to expect when you're there. The birria tacos are my favorite right now, love how it comes with lime slices and sliced carrots, such a nice touch. And the broth adds a beefy juiciness to the tacos that are great. I'm definitely coming back to try the chicken chipotle burrito aswell as many other items i've never eaten before. Great spot to pick up authentic and genuine hispanic food. read more
