Best lunch in Sioux Falls hands down. The Torta is bomb. The burrito is also bomb. A must go when in the area.

I really hate to say this, but we weren't super impressed with the tacos. We had the Al Pastor and they were flavorless. The salsa sent with did not help at all, just bland. You cannot eat here it's only take out. The only thing is if you have to eat in your car ask for more napkins and maybe some silverware to clean up all that falls out of your taco. The service was impeccable, we may try something different next time. But for this time it was not the greatest. read more

We agreed that it was the best burrito we have ever had. There were two people working and both of them were very kind. They do not have indoor seating. It is a to-go style restaurant. The food was ready in 5 mins. The food was good. Chicken was dry, but the homemade tortillas and the sauce were really tasty. When combined with a price of $2.50 a taco that is stuffed full, this place is a great go-to for a quick lunch. I'll definitely be back for the burrito. Make sure you bring cash, no cards accepted! Great food and great service! We got pastor tacos and rice! Large portions that are very filling! Staff were super friendly too!

Stopped by and grabbed three tacos to go -- one of each (al pastor, asada, pollo) -- and all were delicious but the pastor was sublime. Flavor, portion size, and price are all on point. I dare you to find a better taco in Sioux Falls than their Al Pastor. read more

Any taqueria that makes tortillas in house is worth checking out. This place is no exception. I had a few asada tacos, and it was as good as any number of spots that serves similar food in Phoenix that I've been to. Very simple menu as well, but simplicity works in this case. The caveats are that it's cash only, and there's literally two chairs in there to sit while you wait for your order. I used Yelp to scan for something delicious as we were driving past Sioux Falls toward the Black Hills. Tortilleria Hernandez definitely hit the spot! We got there late in the day, so they had run out of a few things. So we had the chicken burritos - omg so yummy. Tons of chicken, beautifully seasoned, mixed with extras that blended so well together. Plus a delicious spicy salsa on the side. Warning - it's a huge portion! They do make everything fresh, so it takes 10-15 minutes to cook. We used that time to fill up and came back in time to grab our meals and run. Would definitely return! read more

This has to be some of the best, authentic Mexican food I've ever had. I am from California and we definitely aren't lacking in taquerias, so I was a bit skeptical to try it in the mid-west. I was definitely not disappointed. From the minute we walked in, it felt like home. The owners were very hospitable and friendly. I had the pastor burrito, which was absolutely delicious. The meat was perfect and the veggies were so fresh. The hot sauce was a nice compliment to the burrito as well. I wish we had a place this good near us. Bill I may be from out of town but have family in Sioux Falls. I like this place and when I come to Sioux Falls try to find local places to eat at rather than chains. My brother and I look at places in town and try to vary where we eat. I took a teacher of mine and her significant other to eat there.
