My son received good care from PA but the staff kept dropping the ball and when I called them on it, I was told to find another doctor. I love this office. The staff are so upbeat and have smiles each time I see them. It's almost not a chore to have to go to the doctor! Please do not come here. I came for a service for when i used to have acne and also had lasers done. To start with the lasers didnt do a single difference for me. He also gave me creams that were so harsh on my face that my skin would constantly be peeling and red. I didnt know these treatments where bad until i decided to go to a professional who told me these creams where damaging my skin rather than helping. Not only was he unprofessional he charged me a wooping 5,000 for it. This guy shouldn't have a business open. I tried looking for there location where I had the service on google but I noticed it's not there anymore. I think this doctor started a new Yelp page because he was getting so many bad reviews, but if you google him, you can be linked to the older, more accurate reviews. I received "treatment" for my acne scars at his office about eight years ago, and not only did the $10,000 go to waste then (resulting in little to no visible improvement), but my scars are even worse now. I don't remember exactly how many treatments I received at the time, but suffice it to say, it was all a waste of time and money. I am currently looking into scar treatment options so wanted to advise anyone out there seeking the same to avoid this doctor. Dr Jacob Rispler, Md - Laser & Dermatology Institute Would not go there if it was free. The front desk women were nice. Dr Rispler assistant, who does the QUICK COLD consultation, was nasty and rude!! The advertising on 640AM KFI Radio leaves you thinking this office does some treatment that is exclusive. Not the case, most Dermatology offices do the same Laser treatments. And it's not a ONE time treatment as you may believe from the 640AM KFI Radio Ad. Both of us were told it would take at least 3 treatments at the price of $7800.00, with no guarantee. Hmmm for what I want done $10,000 ($2200 more) with a Cosmetic Surgeon, I can have guaranteed results. I left Ripler's LDI office with that "turned around stomach" feeling that tells you to Run! No matter how impressive their Ad sounds on 640AM KFI Radio, it's not worth your time and gas to go there. Find a Dermatology Office, or Cosmetic Surgeon near you. FYI - if you want to get rid of that fat under you chin, liposuction will run you around $3500, by a board certified surgeon, one time office visit, totally awake. Going to Dr Rispler's LDI Office for this will cost you more no guarantee. BTW - This office could use a Face Lift, and Dr Rispler's assistant needs a attitude adjustment, he's the worst "used car" salesman you can imagine. I just finished my 3rd treatment, and I am so pleased. With each treatment, results are more noticeable, and recovery time quicker. Nicki administered my last treatment, and was wonderful: thorough, patient, sweet. Jessica has always been sweet and helpful. Since my husband is in the medical field, I am always aware of how other offices are run, especially when it comes to appointment/wait times. I have been seen on time for every appointment, which I so appreciate. So my experience, and results, have earned Dr. Rispler and his team 5 Yelp Stars, and sincere gratitude and resounding endorsement from me! When I was in High School I had really bad acne which turned into acne scars. It affected me really bad, I had self esteem problems and was bullied by everyone in school. I would watch Dr. Rispler on tv and could not wait until I grew up, got a job and had enough money to go see him so he can fix my problem. "Free" means it is done by a salesman, with no medical training...no physician, no nurse, no physician assistant...just a complete waste of time. The salesman offered me another "free" consult. The prices are like stealing....the salesman pitched an exorbitant price stating that they combine the use of multiple lasers for a single condition (rosacea) whereas no other reputable physician would suggest this. If I had the choice, I would give Dr. Rispler a "0". I spent $5000 just to have my skin look worse than when I came in. Every time I went in for an appointment, I was told, "oh you just need to wait for the collagen growth." I waited and waited. Nothing! Instead, I now have pits on my face something I never had. I hate looking at myself in the mirror because it's all I see. Dr. Rispler has no manners. I was right on time and pleasant. I was there for a consultation. I was sent 6 reminders to be there at 12:30 on Dec 11 2017. I was told when I arrived that the appointment was at 1:40 pm. I showed her the email and was led to a room. A nurse came and went quickly, THEN a very rude abrasive " physician assistant" came in with his clip board. He was arguing with me each time I asked a question (I had three questions). He scribbled on a diagram talked over me each time I opened my mouth. He says the process is "half as good" as a lift, requires three, 3 hour treatments and costs $7800. He never examined me so I have no clue why I couldn't get those three sentences by phone(I drove from Oxnard). Avoid the wasted time. They had no patients in the office and staff sitting around. I am really amazed how Dr. Rispler has taken the time to really assess the best way to address surface veins and pre-cancer. I am pleased with initial results, but had another treatment today. I saw this "doctor" at his Covina office because I relied on his massive advertisement efforts on the radio and the salesman that tacks onto you like a leech to get you to sign the papers. PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH AND LOOK AT THIS "DOCTOR'S" OLDER YELP PAGES WITH DOZENS AND DOZENS OF WARNINGS FROM OTHER EX-PATIENTS. My experience: Dr. Rispler is rude, full of himself, unprofessional, rushed to get out of there, AND DID NOT HELP WITH ANYTHING. He is just an example of what good, wide advertisement can get you. After over $8,000 out of pocket charges, he did not help my skin in any way. In fact, he caused a major health scare. He prescribed a higher dosage of an anti-biotic for my skin. I was 150 pounds, he gave me the dosage for a 200+ pound person. After taking the medicine for 5 months, I looked on the website of "solodyn", it says that even they do not know the side effects of use after 12 weeks. My eyelashes all thinned and fell off, the hair on my scalp (my beautiful long hair) thinned and began falling, my skin was so red and dry that I could not even open my mouth to talk (and this remained for months), i had serious liver problems, and now suffer with digesting almost everything I eat. During my many appointments with Dr. Rispler, I told him of the symptoms I was experiencing, he just always said, "Its got to get worse, before it gets better. Trust me, this medicine is not something you should be worried out. Keep taking it." Even after I stopped seeing the bastard, his office kept calling me with messages like "Dr. Rispler really believes you should continue with the process so you can see maximal results with your skin. I didn't get a chance to talk to him anymore. No more questions, no further or more detailed explanations. I mean its good to know that my skin is fine, but I got that feel of "just another patient." I trusted KFI AM 640 to guide me to a reputable business. What I found was a snake oil salesman who only wanted to swipe my credit card without explaining what procedure I was being asked to pay for or if their were any side effects. The salesman said they could do the mystery procedure right that minute, but didn't even know if I had to wear sunscreen after or when I could wear makeup again and never asked about my skin history or possibly conflicting medical issues. He was just a salesman, NOT the doctor, yet he acted as if he was somehow qualified to diagnose my treatment plan and tell me that the board certified dermatologist I already saw for my condition in the past was wrong without even looking at my skin up close or having his own medical certification. He quickly ushered me out when I wasn't going to pay. Lastly, my consultation for a procedure affecting my FACE was 6 minutes long as l looked at my watch, stunned at the elevator. Horrifying. I had more care, caution, and service elsewhere from the young girls doing simple laser hair removal on my legs than this supposed "Beverly Hills Doctor's Office." I went to Dr Rispler in my early 20's for acne treatment. He was as rude, uncaring and as horrible as all these post say even back then when he had a small practice. I was working full time and living with my mom. My check went to him and his creams and make up with no results except an empty wallet. I questioned him once and he screamed at me until my eyes watered. Never went back and eventually found an amazing dermatologist. Dr. Marion Quinn in Pasadena. Don't waste your money on him. I made an appointment online to get my back looked at. The receptionist, Annie, was sweet as pie and actually listened to me; seemingly took copious notes which made me feel...heard. The consultant who has "been there 20 years" came in to speak with me and wouldn't even sit down like a normal person conducting a consultation. He rudely stood at the door the entire time and acted like he had already decided that he wasn't interested in my business. I showed him my shoulders and started to tell him what I was looking for before he shouted at me that they were a laser business (because I evidently missed the huge signs everywhere saying that it was a laser business), that the cost for helping me would be "thousands of dollars" and that I should just "go to a dermatologist in my area" for help; so, in about 3 minutes, he decided that I didn't have the money to pay and that I couldn't live in the area (I'm black, fully able to pay, and actually own a home in the area). He told me they couldn't help me but also told me that helping me would cost me thousands of dollars. Seems like if you can't help someone at all, the option of paying thousands of dollars to help them wouldn't even be available, no? I calmly asked if they was anyone else with whom I could speak; he stammered before saying he was the manager, how long he'd been there and that there was no one else I could talk to. I told him I was asking because I was feeling dismissed; so he told me I could "just get out." That entire exchange lasted approximately 4 minutes. The consultation before me that I overheard (the walls are kinda thin) ran over into my time because rude consultant man made sure he was thorough, kind and attentive. If you're the dermatologist of this place, FIRE THAT MAN because he's making terrible first impressions on your prospective customers. If you're a prospective customer looking for fair, professional service and looking to be heard, don't go here. read more

If I could give Dr Rispler zero stars I would. First off there were no before pictures. I didn't really care at the time, as long as the two laser treatments I was getting worked. I took my own before pics since I was so excited to look 8-10 years younger. I did the first treatment and did not notice anything. I know repair and such takes time so I wasn't super concerned. 3 months later I did the second treatment and still nothing. I waited to go back for my follow up, seeing if it just took a little more time to show. I finally went back and wanted to talk to the doctor about having zero results. First off he walked in and said "oh you look so much better". What??!! How can you know what I looked like when you met me ONCE, 8 months prior, for 5 minutes with NO pictures and prob thousands of clients. My before pic almost seemed better than my after! When I went in he refused to look at my pics saying lighting and such is different in all pics and you can't compare, that's why he doesn't take them there. For a place that is advertising beauty, the Costa Mesa office is in terrible need of a makeover. The office is worn and dated, the waiting room contained a man with his shoes off and no one behind the counter for about 5 minutes. When I was finally called in for my appointment, I was told I could not include my friend who I had brought with me. I took her because I highly value her opinion and needed an unbiased opinion. I was told she could not be with me and they couldn't give me a reason why. Of course, it made me feel like they were trying to hide something. I never made it to the consultation -- the overall experience made me feel slimy. THIS GUY IS THE WORST! Seriously save your time and money and don't even consider making an appointment with any of his office locations. Don't fall for any of his adds on the radio or any magazines he might be on. He is a hustler and only cares about ripping people off. Both my brother and I went to get treated for acne scars, when we both had our consultation (at the same time) and we didn't even meet the doctor, we met his business partner (Which I'm stupid for not even taking that as a red flag!) We both literally assumed he was the doctor at first, because usually when you go to a professional doctors office for a consultation (that you pay a $125 for each person), you are going to speak to a DOCTOR. That day we both were conned into buying only 9 laser sessions for $8,000, and then some. I look back and regret even agreeing to paying that much to remove a few minor scars on my cheeks. So a few weeks go buy and I'm seeing no difference what's so ever on my face (except I had a chicken pox scar that got deeper) and I told my nurse what my concerns were, my nurse then responded that it would take a year or longer to see any difference. UHHH EXCUSE ME! A YEAR??? I did not know that! And this is why you need to meet an actual doctor to tell him what is bothering you, and what he can do to help! Both my brother and I honest to God have never left his office happy or relieved, instead we leave annoyed and stressed out that we aren't getting any results. Now I finished all my sessions and I'm still paying off the 8,000 we owe. Also a few days ago I called in to get a refill of a prescription face wash, and the lady on the phone said that I would need to make an appointment with the doctor for a "consultation" so he can "take a look at my face" and that I would have to pay another $125. Everything was rushed and he was unprofessional when answering my questions he made me think that he was the solution to all my problems and when i asked about what other procedures i can do to help with the results such as chemical peels etc. he answered back and said that was like comparing a Cadillac(his lasers) to a Pinto....The consultation was short he didnt make me feel comfortable about asking all my questions and i never saw no before and after photos...I was young and didnt know any better and after that first consultation it was hard seeing him again! All the procedures were done by the assistants so they couldnt answer my questions to the fullest and it wasnt the same person doing it when i would go so at least they can see and let me know my progress .. I spent $5,000 for my acne and acne scars laser treatment plus i paid for some special hairspray like $20 so i wont break out on my back & shoulders it came in a clear bottle with Dr. Risplers name and office taped on it so who knows what the hell can be in there it can be some cheap hairspray from the store for all i know! I've been going to him for years only because he's familiar with my condition and I don't want to go through the hassle of getting set up with a new derm and rehashing my treatment history etc. But now I think it might be worth the extra effort. Rispler has the attention span of a mouse and leaves the room after viewing your condition for less than 10 seconds, barely giving you time to ask your questions or addressing concerns. You REALLY have to be assertive and call him out on his aloofness in order to get any answers. It also seems he consistently prescribes and pushes for the most expensive treatment/medication without giving mention to alternative treatments. I don't know if he gets kickbacks from his drug reps but something definitely seems fishy. And on more than one occasion he prescribed a very pricey medication with the assurance of a 50% discount or rebate, only to find once you get to the pharmacist that the discount card is not honored through insurance (and I have a very legit and widely accepted insurance). If the doctor expects to retain patients and maintain even a moderate reputation within the community, it behooves him to stop relying on his niche or specialty derm procedures, and instead improve the "little intangible things" that actually make the biggest difference to patients. read more
