Lovely little grocery store in downtown Pescadero…read more My friend recommended we stop here. She mentioned the sandwiches were amazing. I will note that there is no parking lot, and there is basically some street parking. If you a see a spot, take it! We got there around 1:15 on a Saturday afternoon, and there was a huge line at the deli to get sandwiches. I got the chicken club which was chicken, bacon, and veggies on fresh focaccia. Even with a huge line, they move pretty quickly. I also grabbed a gigantic chocolate chip cookie to take home for later, and we got a big loaf of artichoke bread. They have a few tables in front and also an area in the back with a lot of tables. This is a great place to stop for a casual bite.

We were so hungry we scarfed down the sandwich in the nice back garden seating area. The famous artichoke bread did not disappoint with lots yummy artichokes. It's freshly baked, still warm when got it. $10/loaf. You can also buy half baked to bake at home. Arcangeli also sell lots of own bottled pasta sauces and jams too. Street parking only along their little main street. Would recommend getting the artichoke bread to-go and buying or bringing own deli meats to make own sandwich next time.

A Hidden Gem at a Gas Station! Don't let the location fool…read moreyou, this place serves up some of the freshest and most flavorful Mexican food in the area! We took a spur-of-the-moment day trip to Pescadero Beach with the kids this past long weekend. Usually, I pack sandwiches for beach days, but since we got a late start, we ended up looking for local spots to grab a quick bite. Amigos popped up with great reviews, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. We ordered the fish tacos and shrimp tostada for ourselves, and both were super fresh and delicious. For the kids, we got the chicken quesadilla and fries, which were a huge hit. Beyond the main dishes, the condiments really elevate the meal, the spicy habanero sauce is fantastic if you like real heat, and the pickled serranos with onions and carrots are addictively good. They have a surprisingly great outdoor seating area where you can sit back and enjoy your meal in the fresh air. Just keep in mind that it is cash only, so plan ahead before you pull up. If you're spending the day near Pescadero or passing through the area, this spot is a must visit!

Cash only so bring your cash Ordered 4 carne asada street tacos and a churro to share between my friend and I. The taco was loaded of mince beef with a bit of salsa, onions, and cilantros to topped it off. There's a self salsa bar in the restaurant where it is self served. We missed it. Tacos were good but a bit bland. Overall it is still good. I wished I add more salsa to it. The highlight was the fresh custard filled churros that were the best. Crispy on the outside and moist inside with custard. I ordered 2 more to bring home.

We did the $90 tour where you spend two hours learning about the farm, learning about the goats…read more Part of the experience was learning how to milk the goats! Then we got to see where the cheese is made and even personalize a goat cheese of our own. This was a really unique and interesting experience. I will have to come back in the spring when they have baby goats. The little shop is cute and sells their goat cheese and other products. With doing the tour, we got a 10% discount on the additional cheese we bought.

It's worth the trip. - Starting around February/March you can see the baby goats; they are bigger in the summer. - Their goat cheese products have less of a gamey goat flavor; it's more of a clean tangy flavor from the salty ocean breeze. - Afterward, I recommend stopping at Arcangeli Grocery in town to pick up some of their bread. - Sante Arcangeli winery has wine tasting in the second floor hay loft.
