    Asiago pepperoni and salami loaf
    Marlene F.

I've driven by so many times and went in today to discover they have some pretty awesome treats. The Asiago pepperoni and salami loaf is sooooooo good. I also found a red velvet donut that was delish and a chocolate chocolate cupcake that was very good. I'll be a regular for sure!

You know a bakery has been around for a very long time when you see a sticker that announces "MAC accepted for purchases". MAC is a uniquely Philadelphia phenomenon from the earliest days of ATMs. My aunts still say today that they're going to "hit the MAC" instead of "get money from the ATM. Despite spending a decent amount of my life living in the Philly Burbs, I hadn't heard of Jacquette's until a friend mentioned them to me. I was talking about getting some really good hometown donuts, not the kind from a national chain, the kind that are yeasty and sweet and the place smells like heaven. Off I head on a steamy hot Sunday morning. It's a good sign when there's a line, folks. I managed to time my visit well as there were only 3 people ahead of me, by the time I left there were 8 people in line waiting. Despite the line I didn't wait long before a cheery young man, eyes smiling behind his mask, helped me with my selection. Six donuts (one didn't last long enough for the photo to be taken. I am human after all). I wasn't planning on the sticky buns but they looked so darn good I got three of them too. They were all quite good. The donuts had that yeasty sweetness I adore, and those sticky buns were loaded with cinnamon and gooey walnuts. Solid Philly donuts. I'll totally be back.

This is a bakery in a strip mall with plenty of parking in the lot. They have everything from cakes to donuts to many cookie options. There are so few bakeries left anymore. This is what a bakery should be like.

Purchased a lemon pound cake with lemon buttercream icing for a July 4th birthday celebration. Everyone raved about the cake and wanted the name of the bakery. Highly recommend this establishment.

Supposed to be a two tier cake for a bridal shower... paid $75 dollars for this?!! The writing is poor at best

I would give a ZERO stars if I could!! I ordered a two tier wedding shower cake over a week before the shower. I discussed what I wanted with 2 people. I should have gotten the receipt with instructions on it but I was too trusting. $75 dollars

7/2/20 sigh! Only 364 more days to go til I get another Jacquette's Birthday cake If my friend gifts me a cake.

7/2/20 My friend goes to Jacquette's bakery for special occasion cakes for her family & friends. That's me she's gifted me two Birthday cakes in the past. Both times she opted to get me chocolate cake with chocolate icing. Very Delicious! I would love to try vanilla cake sometime and I hope to try their other offerings. Seeing as I'm not very close- it's probably not going to happen. My most recent cake was moist and delicious. The frosting was decadent and delicious. I love the sweet buttercream icings the best and this cake did not disappoint. There's nothing like a real bakery cake and since I went to a bakery yelp event a couple years back, at Aux Petit Delices, I have a new found appreciation for real bakeries and the art of it all.

My family bought a cake for a birthday and I am happy to concur that it was very good! I only wish that the icing was a little thicker.

That's why I was extremely disappointed the two times I have tried Crumbl cookie and both were from different locations. The most recent was the one closest to my home, from the spot in Broomall. My older daughter LOVES their cookies. She sucks with food and generally doesn't know what's she's talking about when it comes to deliciousness. However, she brought a box home and insisted that in try their cookies again, and after some cajoling, she was able to annoy me into giving them another shot. Once again, I was unhappy I decided to try them. I have come to only one conclusion after repeated attempts to enjoy their stuff...that Crumbl cookies simply aren't good. They're just not good. Yes, cookies alone, even just the concept makes them good and that's why there is some inherent value to their product. But these cookies are just dismal. There is nothing unique to them at all. They do offer some differing selection, but ninety percent of their "varieties" are simply sugar cookies with different icings or toppings piled on top. That is a flat cake with no rising agent and different sugar contents. They are also never hitting the sweet spot of texture in my opinion either; too dry and crumbly, or almost like uncooked dough inside was my experience on both occasions. If that's your thing, then you will probably love this, and that's great! Go support them. However, as a cookie lover, I cannot in good conscience, justify spending the insane amount they are asking for non-cookies that are just flavored icings on top of a sweet baked puck that lacks heart and soul, an essential part of what you can taste when you have a cookie that has had real love and effort put into it. You can tell that Crumbl at one point had a vision that was wonderful. What it seems like is that it became a trendy place that then gained popularity due to its difference and its dedication to making everything hyper-sweet instead of truly savory and delicious, very much catering to the very young. There is nothing wrong with that, but I guarantee you somewhere along the way, the true bakers behind this brand lost their way, sold out to the hype, and it is now a apple-store clone sellout slinging crappy cookies that just aren't really "cookies". Unfortunately, I cannot recommend them for the desserts they offer, although their staff is very nice and excited about their products in my experience and their stores are very clean. Almost too clean, like pharmaceutical manufacturing bright white antibacterial clean blank spaces which is very off-putting. Instead I would say make some cookies on your own and learn the beauties of making some of the best cookies you've ever had, or checking out some of the other parties in this same space. However, if you LOVE icing and gigantic monstrosities that are priced more like a full meal for a night out at restaurant, and really want that whole experience, this may be the place for you. As always, I am open to having my mind changed, but this has violated a core value I have with my beloved cookie, and after two tries, I still don't like the cookies or their model. Convince me otherwise! I would really like to enjoy them like everyone else seems to.

So rather than their week at NJ shore, the crowd beat it to Apple Walnut. Took a little over 10min to be seated, so not terrible, but this was at the very tail end of service. I was born with an intermittent fasting stomach; I've never been a breakfast-eater and brunch is gross to me! I mention this because I've never taken my son out for breakfast foods so it was great to have this experience. My little one had a HUGE "Go Go Bananas" It said it was "hot cakes stuffed with Bananas" but they were just plain. It mentioned caramel on top which wasn't there (they subbed syrup without asking); frustrating and unprofessional. It also had a slice of poundcake French Toast topped with grilled bananas, and then banana French Toast with granola. It was a decadent treat of gluten and sugar that we don't normally eat at home. My son was really happy. My burger was okay but not memorable, and the fries were that awful batter-dipped cheap kind that I don't eat and they just made the whole thing "mid" as the kids say. Service was very very slow per the crowd and it being the end of the shift. Our server was cheerful and I told her to take her time, but I didn't realize we'd be left waiting forever for water refills, 30min for food (kitchen's fault), and at least 10min after asking for check. I still tipped well over 20% but their staff seems too spent and overwhelmed from the crazy crowds that are so unusual this time of year. In summary, it was great for decadent breakfast foods, diner-quality for my burger, and while I understand how taxed our server was, the service really dragged. I had seen reviews commenting on the wait but do beware that it's still suuuper bad apparently at all times of their hours, and even random weekdays when people are enduring their Trump staycations. I rate it a 3 but my son was so happy with his food so I rounded up.

The person at the counter who took our order was actually not very nice. We had questions about the menu but she sat there and stared at us instead of answering. That's fine. My husband and I enjoy awkward and slightly rude interactions. Not everyone is having a good day. My husband ordered the number 3 which was the double steak burger California with cheese fries. He pulled off most of the onions but thought the burger was actually pretty good. He said he'd return. I ordered the grilled chicken club sandwich with French fries. I really liked the shape of the fries. They were like shoe string fries but softer. Unfortunately both my fries and my sandwich was overly salty. I tried knocking off the salt on the fries and adding ketchup on the sandwich but couldn't overcome all the salt. We shared a turtle concrete. It was just okay. It got soupy very quick. I think because it's custard...maybe. overall, we both agreed on a 2 for this place given the setbacks but we'd come back for something quick if we're in the mood.
